Putin Is Not Afraid Of Biden

Many have opined that our representative, constitutional republic is plenty strong enough to survive one, even two, less than stellar presidential administrations. In 1947 Congress passed the 22nd Amendment putting that upper boundary in place, in order to prevent another Roosevelt-like administration that spanned more than a decade. Heretofore, the thinking has been that no matter how bad, there is a limit to the damage a president, even an inept one can do…even if around for two full terms.

I’m not so sure that particular thinking obtains in our current situation. As I’ve mentioned previously, the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, has from Day One, made all the wrong choices, especially on the economic front. Specifically, his decisions—Executive Orders and regulatory efforts have shackled the U.S. energy sector, resulting in the United states losing it’s status as a net exporter after so recently regaining such. As energy is the enabler that moves a burgeoning economy, it’s no surprise that inflation is running rampant.

As serious as our economic woes seem right now, as a nation, we can recover from them. Of course, that assessment offers little comfort to those unemployed or under employed with mouths to feed, rent to make and gas to put in the car. Having said that, there is something much more ominous to be concerned about. That concern is how President Biden is perceived by the international community, especially the senior leadership in countries that hate us, like China and Russia—and what that means for our national security.

There are two parts of that assessment that concern me. First of all, is Biden’s (or his staff’s) inability (or unwillingness) to understand the interconnection and mutually supporting aspects of the D.I.M.E. model in assessing our ability to work our will on the international stage. In short, Vladimir Putin has put all the enablers in place for success, while the Biden team enabled him. You can read my analysis of that in:

DIME: Trump Gets It; Biden Does NOT

DIME: Trump Gets It; Biden Does NOT (Part 2)

It’s The OIL Stupid!

In “the great game,” of international competition and possibly open warfare, the numbers have their place. As I mentioned above, the numbers show Russian energy supremacy in Europe, ceded to her by the fecklessness of the Biden administration. However, there is a more ephemeral and quite possibly much more critical aspect of this dynamic. That is how the leaders of our enemies, and indeed our friends, view our President. If POTUS is considered to be smart, discerning and tough, then coupled with numbers on our side, that makes us a formidable foe. Even when the numbers are not all that much in our favor, the perceived mental toughness—determination of our Commander In Chief can give our enemies pause.

That is most decidedly not the image projected by President Biden. Never known as the sharpest pencil in the box, advancing years and cognitive decline have him presenting as an addled, doddering, indecisive old man. Vladimir Putin, former KGB Lieutenant Colonel and one-time case officer, has surely made his own assessment, backed up by reams of information provided by his FSB (successor to the KGB). In short, Putin looks at President Biden’s decisions and his obvious mental decline and quite rightly believes that as of this particular moment, these United States, led by an inept President and staff, are unable or unwilling to give him much opposition.

Fortunately, some of the tools in Putin’s bag, especially military equipment, and men, are not living up to their hype. Moreover, the Ukrainians are showing some real mettle. That mettle isn’t going to do us much good if for some reason Putin decides to set off a low-yield nuclear weapon—as he has not so subtly threatened to do. I’m not at all sanguine regarding Biden’s ability to preclude such, or to promptly and properly respond to such an act.

This is what keeps me up at night.

  1. Since inauguration, every decision this so-called president has made has been against the people of the country he is supposed to be leading. Every one of those decisions cost every citizen everything they earn, the children they raise, the gas they put in their tanks, the food they pay for and consume, and at some point in time, the country has to consider whether or not these decisions attach malice, or, to put another way, involved intent, which means treason is afoot, and it is from the White House, directed at the people and society who put him there, so they say.
One can’t go with this “president” being senile and get away with it, forever. He took an oath. His entire administration is acting in direct defiance of that oath, and that is causing great harm to our country.

I want to know what is going to be done to correct that problem, don’t you?

Intent. If he didn’t intend this kind of turnout, he would have made different decisions. This was criminal from day one.
