Democrats are on the warpath again. Surprise. Surprise. When aren’t they? This time over Roe v. Wade. The illegal leak this week of Justice Samuel Alito’s draft opinion apparently overturning the infamous decision of 1973 is their latest cause du jour. Nearly 50 years and 63 million innocent lives later, the end of that roundly criticized opinion seems likely. Being consistent, the Dems don’t give a damn about the illegality and unprecedented nature of the leak, nor the identity of the leaker, they continue to make excuses for illegal behavior. As long as the crime fits their agenda, no problem. Remember, the Dems didn’t utter a peep about all the mass daytime shoplifting and looting of retail stores until the looters hit the tony and swank Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
The Democrats are lying about the draft opinion, of course. The usual suspects are all over television trying to get their base Brownshirts – Antifa and BLM – riled up in an unseemly effort to sway the Justices to change course. The “riled-up” part is working according to plan. Justice Alito and his family have been receiving death threats and he was forced to cancel a speaking engagement due to threats of violence. The mob only wants their own speech to be free, not yours. If they want to hear your speech, they’ll tell you what to say. If the leader of the Democrats in the Senate can threaten Supreme Court Justices by name on the very steps of the Supreme Court, all else is fair game.
The Alito draft opinion actually doesn’t go far enough. It simply puts the question of abortion, that “peculiar institution”, back in the hands of the states, pre-1973. Thus, as a pre-born baby, your fate would depend on which state your mother happens to get pregnant in. The luck of the draw would determine whether you die in an abortion state or live in a free state. We can now visualize cross-state expectant refugees, a sort of underground railroad. But instead of freedom, these refugees will be seeking death for their future offspring. Isn’t that special? Well at least they aren’t crossing state lines with an AR-15, like Kyle Rittenhouse. What’s next, proudly livestreaming their abortion that Jeff Bezos bravely virtue-signaled he’d pay for by getting them across the new Mason-Dixon line from West Virginia to Maryland?
How did leaving that other “peculiar institution” to the states end up? Only 650,000 Americans lost their lives over that one. I guess it does beat 63 million. Democrats in 1860 said, “If you don’t like slavery, don’t own a slave”. Democrats since 1973 have been saying, “If you don’t like abortion, don’t have one”. The difference is that slaves could speak up for themselves by running away, as many did. Unborn babies don’t have that option. Since the illegal SCOTUS leak, Dems have been saying to the Justices, “If you overturn Roe v. Wade, you will pay the price”! That price being violence. Even Ruth Bader Ginsburg agreed that Roe was a poorly crafted decision. Why the violence? And why hasn’t Biden spoken out against it, especially violent protests at the conservative Justices homes, after being doxed?
Supporters of the draft opinion are already experiencing the mob rule violence unleashed by Dem leaders. Likewise, the online Twitter mob is threatening the Justices and anyone else who supports Alito’s draft. While most Dems are nonplussed by the audacity of the leak, their media acolytes are lifting up the leaker as the next Saint George Floyd.

With the economy in a tailspin, Democrats are grasping for any lifeline to head off a disastrous reckoning in the upcoming midterm elections. All signs point to a well-deserved, good old fashion, arse-kicking, shellacking for the Dems come November. This issue will not save them, as the primaries in Ohio proved on Tuesday. What it will do is endanger more lives as the violent Democrat base reacts to the lies of its leaders. These fools are even targeting the homes of Supreme Court Justices, as never before. To what end? To illegally and immorally intimidate those Justices.
As Dem leaders agitate for abortion riots, they are also pushing to pass abortion protections into law, pack the court and end the Senate filibuster. These are not your Daddy’s small d democrats. They are autocrats. To hell with letting the people decide. President Brandon said so himself.

Abortion is a religion to these zealots and your whims will not get in their way, neither will your votes. Actually, it’s more like a cult than a religion, a death cult. Come hell or high water, you will accept abortion in all 10 months, and you’ll like it, serfs. Yes, 10 months. California is trying to protect “abortion” in the 10th month with “perinatal” wording to protect infanticide and prevent any prosecutions thereof. These people are sick, really sick.
These cultists tell us that men shouldn’t even be a part of the discussion. We men have no right to say anything about abortion. Pardon me, but aren’t men necessary for women to become pregnant? Full disclosure, I’m no biologist, but I did take and pass Biology 101. These are the same people whose woke ideology forbids them from defining what a woman is or a man, for that matter. Apparently, that’s a new prerequisite to be appointed to the highest court.
Kurt Schlichter, one of my favorite columnists, wrote recently that we shouldn’t let the assortment of kooks, krazies and weirdos on the left and in the Brandon regime scare us. I agree, they shouldn’t. But their army of street thugs should worry us. We saw how nine months of rioting, burning, looting, shooting and murdering ended, with the Demented One becoming president. It worked before. They’d be stupid to think it wouldn’t work again. We let them get away with it then. We can’t let them get away with it again.
As Justice Alito stated in his draft, “The weaknesses in Roe’s reasoning are well-known. Without any grounding in the Constitutional text, history or precedent, it imposed on the entire country a detailed set of rules much like those that one might expect to find in a statute or regulation.” (legislating from the bench) Abortion is not a right and is not contained in our Constitution, no matter how many emanations from penumbra one makes up. The God-given right to life, however, is recognized by our Founders in the Declaration of Independence (you know, the thing) and in the 5th Amendment.
With the holy sacrament of their cult on the line, abortion, the left will stop at nothing to prevent, not only its demise, but even its slightest lessening. Long gone are the days of “safe, legal and rare”. All the compromises before 1860 – the 3/5 compromise in the Constitution, the 1808 ban on slave importation, the Mason-Dixon line, the Missouri Compromise – didn’t prevent the Civil War. If the Dems want a Civil War II over abortion, we may have to oblige them. They will lose Civil War II like they lost Civil War I. If they don’t want to lose abortion all together, they should be smart and accept compromise. However, no one has accused them of being smart recently.

There is no reason to be compromising with the left over this issue. Too many babies have already been killed to even considering letting the left off the hook, through compromise. “Thou Shalt Not Kill”. Does that not mean anything, anymore?
Roe v. Wade was as Justice Alito wrote: a bad opinion, full of activism, and empty on logic and reason, not to mention that one Commandment.
Abortion is about power, control, and a lack of respect and admiration for the gift from God to be able to procreate. Sex was not meant for pleasure’s sake. It was meant for the continuance of a functioning civilization, and is the blessing from God for our continued existence.
We should hold it in that reverence, for God’s sake, and our own. This is not about compromise, but only a step in the right direction. I don’t care what the left thinks about anything, anymore. If they want to fight, fine. Abortion is not an issue, but a sin. You never compromise with a sin.
I agree. The Alito opinion is a compromise. I never said it was a good compromise or that our side should compromise. That’s why I brought up the pre civil war, failed compromises. I said it didn’t go far enough. Of course, killing innocent babies should be banned. If the Dems were smart, THEY are the ones who should accept this compromise, but they won’t and they aren’t smart.
You explained it very well. And you know they will not compromise. Compromise from their perspective means capitulation. Something they started out as prohibiting, since their idea was only to destroy an institution. My comment was never meant as criticism of your words. We are simply approaching from two distinct lines.
The only capitulation from the left is that which is forced upon them, by casting them aside from any future debate, because theirs is not debate.

I have to agree with you 100%. Coming from that background, I know they will not compromise. I struggled for the longest time over abortion and being a Democrat at the time, I just brushed it under the carpet. I have a family member who I love with all my heart. She told me, you have to choose a side and then back it 100%. Well, I couldn’t hide it any longer from myself. Abortion is murder no matter how you look at it. I chose my side (Conservative) and now I back it all the way.

The hypocrisy of the left knows no bounds. To have anyone, especially a serving politician, lead a protest (or worse, an assault) on the pinnacle of our justice system is anathema to liberty and ANOTHER shot heard round the world. But, as you have pointed out, laws don’t apply to liberals (aka progressives, socialists, communists, and politicians in general).
We really do have a “Just-Us” system instead of a justice system.
We (the people) vastly outnumber the political class and all of their cohorts… if it comes to a second civil war, it will not be the North vs the South, it will be “the people vs the tyrants.”
