Brittney Griner Can Rot in Russia for All I Care

Brittney Griner represented the United States in Olympic basketball, winning two gold medals. The woke America hater bought into the lies that America and all our institutions are irreparably and systemically racist. As reported here and elsewhere, in 2020 Griner voiced her opposition to the playing of the national anthem before WNBA games. She also began kneeling while it was played. Anyone with half a brain (meaning not the 36% who still think Joe Biden is swell) knows that the most racist people in America are the woke “anti-racists” and those who push the lies of CRT, DEI, inclusivity, and intersectionality; the most intolerant are the Leftists who lecture us on tolerance; and the most fascist are the Antifa fascists and the Democrats. Griner bought into all those lies and decided to protest the anthem and the flag of a nation that provider her opportunities, success, and wealth.

Griner recently plead guilty in a Russian court for a variety of drug charges and faces up to ten years in a horrific Russian prison and labor camp. The Western Journal reported, “’I’m terrified I might be in here forever,’ Griner wrote in a recent letter delivered.”

While I am empathetic to Brittney Griner’s plight, I find it ironic that she turned her back on the American Flag and refused to stand or even be in the same room for the National Anthem, but now she is begging that same country to come save her from her own moronic stupidity of taking a hash pipe into a foreign country. I hope when and if she makes it back to the United States, she will be a little more proud [sic] of the country she is so desperate to get back to, now that she has experienced something else. Right now, she doesn’t have to see the flag or hear the National Anthem…be careful what you wish for.

Unlike this Fascistbook poster, as someone who spent almost 30 years wearing the uniform of an Army that no longer exists in the service of a country that no longer exists, largely torn apart and destroyed by stupid, ungrateful, woke Leftists like Griner, I have absolutely no empathy for her. She damned her country, her flag, and her national anthem. But like any spoiled child who claims she hates her parents, as soon as things go South, she comes running back to them for help. The buffoon in the White House and the rest of his fascist junta should put no more effort into her release than they would Joe the Plumber. Let her rot in a Russian prison as far as I’m concerned. Good riddance. One fewer America hater. I nominate those screeching shrews on The View to be her roommates.

This week LeBron James said that the government should be doing more to secure her release. On what grounds? She plead guilty. She is guilty. She broke the law in a foreign country. She had wealth and a platform from which she could have done good. She could have been a unifying force and a role model to keep kids out of gangs. She chose instead to buy into the woke lies and America hatred. Now she will be the subject of Midnight Express, the Sequel. Too bad.

The Western Journal went on to report “While James was not the first to suggest the U.S. government should do more to help Griner avoid having to stay in a Russian prison, he took his comments further than most by saying he would question a return to the country if he were Griner.”

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee had the right response to James’ ignorant claims:

If James isn’t a fan of the country that made the athlete one of the wealthiest men in the world: The door’s right over there. Your enablers in Beijing are waiting on the other side. Seeya!

In a Tuesday tweet after James’ controversial remarks regarding the detention of Brittney Griner, Huckabee wrote that LeBron — whom he referred to as “Mr. China made me rich!” — should look into relocating to China, a “country that enriches him by slave labor,” and one that James is notoriously loath to criticize.

… [The Western Journal has] long noted the hypocrisy of James’ anti-American activism when compared with his silence regarding China’s flagrant violations of human rights. He’s hardly the only one in sports and entertainment far more willing to criticize the land of the free and the home of the brave than the country that gave the world the “social credit” score and brutal COVID lockdowns. 

It’s easy for James to make these ignorant comments. He’s not the one facing ten years in a Russian prison. For Griner this is no longer a Bernie Sanders exercise in lying about the great Marxist utopia. Griner is going to see what that Marxist utopia really means. If James really thinks that Griner should not want to return to America – at the same time she is begging Biden to do more to help her get home – I’d be happy to do a swap of James for Griner. If he hates America so much, he should be happy to live the Marxist dream instead of the American dream.

Another NBA player, Enes Kanter Freedom, is an outspoken critic of China and athletes who are silent about China to protect their endorsement deals. He fired back at James, “You are free to leave buddy or you can even volunteer for an exchange for her. Some people literally have NO idea what it is like to live in a dictatorship. Keep taking your freedom for granted.”

The Biden Junta should spend more time focusing on the plight of hardworking middle-class Americans he has punished with his stupid policies (while blaming everyone else). Wittney Griner can rot in Russia for all I care.
