The Racism of “Anti-Racism” Part 3: More Examples of Real Racism

In Part 1 of this series, I asserted that the most racist people are the “anti-racists.” They routinely pander to minorities during elections and then enact Leftist policies that hurt minorities and the poor.

In general, the racist “anti-racists” assert that minorities are too dumb to do well in school, to meet the same standards as others (the bigotry of lower expectations), to even know how to get an ID card without help. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) said, “There’s nothing Jim Crow about [voting reform legislation in Red states designed to make it easier to vote but harder to cheat]. In fact, what is very insulting and really just gets to me is they’re implying that people of certain races are not able to comply with rules, show up, have a driver’s license, or figure this out, and I think that’s very racist.” As Calvin Robinson pointed out, it is also racist to expect and demand that people vote a certain way because of their skin color. In Florida, a bill that “boosts penalties for crimes that are committed during violent protests and creates new felonies for persons accused of organizing or participating in demonstrations that result in violence” was characterized by a return to Jim Crow. In fact, the bill does not seek to limit peaceful protests, but the Left is trying to justify violence. While decrying everything red legislatures propose as “Jim Crow 2.0,” it is the Left that has created and perpetuates the modern plantation system with minorities beholden to and dependent on the largess of wasteful, inefficient, and ill-conceived handout programs. I say, “handout programs,” to distinguish them from real entitlement programs like military pensions that are truly entitlements because they were earned. A person is entitled to what they’ve earned, not what some politician promised to get a vote. In Part 2, I provided a shotgun blast of examples of racism by the elitist “anti-racists.” In this article, I will provide additional examples.

Racism is the belief that a person’s race is the primary determinate of attributes, behavior, and accomplishments. Opportunity wasted by poor decision making is rarely discussed. Fatherless households and unbridled crime don’t matter, only skin color. For the perpetual “victim” class asserted (and created) by the Left, fomenting racial hatred has replaced class warfare in the Marxist playbook. The Left wants minorities to believe that they cannot succeed, that the system is biased against them, because of their skin color — despite decades of social programs whose effectiveness has never been measured. (Thomas Sowell provides studies and facts to show that the black community was better off 100 years after the end of slavery than 50 years after the onset of affirmative action programs.)

Given Sowell’s assertion, movements for people who have never owned slaves to pay reparations to people who have never been slaves as repugnant and stupid. In April 2021, the House Judiciary Committee passed a Biden-backed resolution to study slavery reparations. Students at Brown University, an Ivy League (and therefore Leftist) university “voted overwhelmingly that the institution should offer reparations to descendants of slaves who were affiliated with the school and its founders.” The Chicago suburb of Evanston has voted to provide reparations. This, of course, panders to black voters by vilifying all white people (my ancestors weren’t even in the US when slavery was legal) and ignores the human trafficking and slavery that flows every day across our southern border due to Leftist, Democrat open-border policies.

In his thoughtful article, Is Racism Moral Now?, Victor Davis Hanson wrote,

“The new antiracism racism, whatever its original intentions, unfortunately exhibits the historical telltale signs of its noxious genre: an a priori negative stereotyping of all whites that can then be applied to individuals deemed undeserving because they are white. It is a deductive doctrine used to justify racial bias and racial preferences, to enhance careers and profits, and to excuse and contextualize racist language and behavior.” (I recommend you read the full article.)

This is a similar sentiment to the question that Former police officer Brandon Tatum asked in April 2021. As reported by Terresa Monroe-Hamilton,

“Former police officer Brandon Tatum asks a very politically incorrect question that he says is true, but that nobody wants to talk about in his latest video, ‘How come black people can be racist and get away with it?’

“He wants to know how black people get a pass on apparently being openly racist. In fact, he said, they are ‘celebrated’ for it in this country. Tatum’s query seems similar to the type of question asked by former Colorado state Judge Natalie T. Chase, except she lost her job for asking why black people can use the N-word but white people can’t.”

The “race card” is played constantly by the Left. Despite claims that we are systemically racist, a survey reported by the South African BusinessTech site, the United States doesn’t even make it in the top 25 most racist countries. Despite this, woke universities (I guess I am being redundant), corporate boards, and even Special Operations Command are spending an inordinate amount of money on diversity officers. “Racism” is so widely (mis)used that, like misinformation, it has completely lost meaning and relevance. If you don’t like someone or their views, don’t argue with facts, just toss the race card on the table, or call it “misinformation.” When Canadian truckers stood up to the fascist Trudeau junta, the Prime Minister called them racists and Nazis. When the woke cancel mob failed to cancel Joe Rogan for supposed COVID “misinformation,” they turned to playing the “race card.” One would think a member of the “Liberal” party would support really peaceful protests by unions (as distinguished from months of what the media laughingly referred to as “mostly peaceful” from protests across blue cities and states in the US). (See my article about the difference between Leftists and Liberal here.) If you disagree with mandates, you are a racist (and a Nazi), according to Trudeau. That is dizzying logic, and the burden of proof is never on the accuser.

In his thoughtful article, Jeffrey S. Stephens wrote,

Anyone who does not acknowledge that there are different races on this planet, and in this country, is a fool. The problem is bigotry. The evil begins when the recognition of someone’s race or religion causes us to pre-judge that individual and to treat them unfairly as a result.

I think he makes a good point. We have different races and religions in the American Melting pot, and to pretend they don’t exist is foolish. Victor Davis Hanson cited these quotes in his article that I think are worth repeating here, because they expose the bigotry of many on the Left.

“Whiteness is a public health crisis. It shortens life expediencies, it pollutes air, it constricts equilibrium, it devastates forests, it melts ice caps, it sparks (and funds) wars, it flattens dialects, it infests consciousnesses, and it kills people…” —Damon Young, New York Times contributor

“Over the past year, I have, of course, still had to interact with white people on Zoom or watch them on television or worry about whether they would succeed in reelecting a white-supremacist president. But white people aren’t in my face all of the time. I can, more or less, only deal with whiteness when I want to . . . White people haven’t improved; I’ve just been able to limit my exposure to them.” —Elie Mystal, The Nation

Replace “whiteness” with “blackness” or “Asian-ness” or “LGBTQ+ness” in these quotes and just imagine the armies of cancel culture warriors at your doorstep. Similarly, ESPN host Jalen Rose claimed that the reason Kevin Love — a white player — was selected to the roster of the U.S. Olympic basketball team was because of “tokenism.” The Daily Wire reported that Rose “Went on to say that he was “disappointed” in the selection committee for being ‘scared to make an all-black team representing the United States of America.’  While there are certainly bigots, Left and Right, the Leftist “anti-racists” and their claim that “all whites are racists” are guilty of flagrant bigotry. Again, imagine the outcry if Rose was saying the lone black man on some other athletic team was a token! If the Left didn’t have double standards, they’d have no standards at all.

In Part 2, I mentioned racist and illegal programs by the Biden cabal in their $2T Leftist pork bill that exclude white people, regardless of income. (By the way, there are lots of poor white people in the US, such as Appalachia.) Where the Federal Government has stopped with their racist programs, cities have taken up the torch. Mayor Garcetti of Los Angeles proposed a $24M program to give guaranteed minimum incomes to people without any serious preconditions. Since the program is supposed to address “Equity and Justice,” it excludes poor white people. Oakland, CA, enacted a program to give “$500 a month to low-income families of color. [my emphasis] It inexplicably excludes more than 10,000 white residents in the city living below the poverty line.”

The “anti-racists” even play the race card against other minorities with whom they disagree rather than confronting facts. The Daily Wire reported when Candace Owens, a black woman, wrote,

The #1 violent offenders against black people are other black people. The #1 violent offenders against Asian Americans are also black people. But both #BlackLivesMatter and #AsianLivesMatter are campaigns dedicated to stomping out white supremacy because, clown world.

Liam O’Mara, a history professor who ran unsuccessfully for California’s 42nd District, posted a response to Owens with a KKK hood and the caption, “You may’ve dropped this.” In April 2021, Burges Owens (R-UT), after a visit to the southern border, asserted,

Believe me, the borders are open right now. We are seeing every single day, people coming here and within hours getting on a train or a plane and going to your neighborhood. So, no Americans, this isn’t a border issue anymore… They are coming to your neighborhoods, not knowing the language, not knowing the culture, and there is a cartel influence along the way. So be aware, don’t think this is a distance from you now, this is coming your way and it is done on purpose by a party who could care less about we the people.”

In response, rather than trying to refute the irrefutable facts, far-leftist Pat Bagley, a white man, posted a cartoon on Facebook comparing Owens to the KKK.

The military is not immune from its own brand of “anti-racist” racism. Without any evidence that a problem exists, Secretary Austin and GEN Miley have both declared that a primary concern of the military is “diversity, inclusion, and equity,” not fighting and winning wars. As reported on the Defense Department Website, “Diversity, equity and inclusion in the military are necessities for the United States, Bishop Garrison, the senior advisor to the secretary of defense for human capital and diversity, equity and inclusion said.” Indeed, Retired Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Greg Newbold, asserted that the tenets of critical race theory are antithetical to the military ethos and unity. Lt. Gen Newbold said, “The tenets of Critical Race Theory — a cross-disciplinary intellectual and social movement that seeks to examine the intersection of race and law in the United States, but which has the unfortunate effect of dividing people along racial lines — undermine our military’s unity and diminish our warfighting capabilities.” Yet, our woke leaders are pushing this grotesque, racist theory on our soldiers with the effect of reducing readiness and emboldening our enemies.

Recently, Leftists have been lining up ten deep and going on the Sunday morning “news” circuit to condemn the Senate filibuster as racist and a relic of Jim Crow. The hypocrisy of these Tartuffes is palpable. Politico reported “The pressure that we are going to put on Sinema and Manchin is calling [the filibuster] racist and saying that they are, in effect, supporting racism,” [Al] Sharpton said. “Why would they be wedded to something that has those results? Their voters need to know that.” Note the language from one of the great racist race baiting extortionists in the world. If we don’t get our way, we are going to call the filibuster racist. It’s a threat to throw the “race card.” If you don’t agree with me, I am going to call you a racist. I am going to play the race card without evidence. Fox News explained, “[Leftist] Democrats see the filibuster as an outdated relic that can be used by the minority Republican Party under McConnell to derail Biden’s agenda, and they want to do away with it. They point to the way the filibuster was wielded during the 20th century to stall civil rights legislation, and warn of a repeat.” The filibuster was used to stall civil rights legislation by Democrats. The filibuster mandates the Senate to work together and pass only legislation that has broad bi-partisan support. After Biden’s Georgia speech in which he declared that half the people in the US were racist bigots, Ben Sasse (R-NE) defended the filibuster on the Senate floor, arguing that the filibuster, the tool that requires long-view consensus building is what distinguishes the Senate from the House. Yet, politicians and political pundits claim the filibuster is racist. Victor Davis Hanson said, “Barack Obama who, when a senator, filibustered the 2006 Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito now claims, falsely, the filibuster is a racist relic of Jim Crow, which it predated by at least 30-40 years.” In 2003, Senator Biden filibustered against the nomination of Janice Rogers Brown to be the first woman on the US Circuit Court of Appeals. Every Senator who now claims the filibuster is racist has used the filibuster in the past. In fact, in recent times, the Democrats have used the filibuster more than Republicans. But it is now racist, so say the racist “anti-racists.” The reality is that the Democrats will do anything to maintain power and get their own way, and the filibuster is the impediment to them getting their way. It must now be declared racist and eliminated, despite the long-term impacts that will have. The good of the nation is not important; only unconstitutional federalization of elections, Build Back Broker, packing the Supreme Court, and adding Leftist states to guarantee a Democrat majority matter. As Ben Sasse describes the slippery slope that began with Harry Reid in this way:

“Once the filibuster goes for x, it goes for y, and it goes for z. Today it’s election centralization. Tomorrow it’s gun politics. The next day it’s climate debates. Every red-hot issue in American culture and American politics would be in the same exception because every issue would be just as urgent next week, next month, and next year. Fortunately, Senator Manchin knows this. Senator Sinema knows this. And by the way, a whole bunch more colleagues of mine in the Democratic Party also know this. They don’t just have as much courage to say it in public as those two.”

There is nothing racist about the filibuster, but the Left is prepared to call anything and everything racist to get their way.

Whether through blatant bigotry, deranged doctrines like critical race theory or “diversity, inclusion, and equity,” the soft bigotry of lowered expectations, gaslighting, quotas, triple or quadruple standards, or government programs that violate the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution, it is the Left who have shown themselves to be the real racists in America. The Left uses the “race card” to vilify, demean, or cancel anyone or anything they don’t like — even each other — without evidence or basis. As Americans, we must challenge the Left when they use accusations of “racism” instead of facts to refute an argument. We must stop letting the Left determine whether we are racists. We need to achieve what the Left fears: a truly color-blind nation. In the next part of this article, I’ll provide even more egregious examples of the racism of the Left.
