Is Donald Trump Unbelievably Lucky, Or Simply Blessed

I’m an engineer and I understand probabilities and the randomness of nature. A coin toss can have two different outcomes, and luck has nothing to do with it. I don’t believe that some people benefit from the forces of fate. Instead, I believe that God touches our lives every day with miracles large and small. Some of the small miracles – which may even go unnoticed – have huge consequences. It’s the miracle of a motorist feeling a sudden urge to look right, just in time to spot a child running towards the street. Or the miracle of a presidential candidate turning to the right to read a poster, just as an assassin’s bullet passes his head.

When I was 9 years old and spending a weekend with my grandmother, we were planning to go shopping one evening. But just before we were to leave, a television show came on that caught our attention, and we decided to shop the next day instead. Thirty minutes later, the grocery store which we intended to shop at, was flattened by the Palm Sunday tornado of 1965. People said my grandma and I were lucky that night. But the television show which delayed our excursion seems more like a blessing to me.

When I benefit from what seems to most like a random occurrence, I don’t head to the nearest casino to cash in before my luck changes. I instead quietly give thanks for what I know may have been divine intervention. When I see someone who benefits from a long series of improbable events, I don’t think they’re lucky. I suspect God in making a point and I ask myself: what’s the lesson I’m supposed to learn from the blessing bestowed on that person.

This brings me to the campaign of Donald J. Trump – the beneficiary of the most unlikely chain of events which I have ever seen in the runup to an election. Is the Almighty using the Donald as a visual aid to teach some important lesson?

The radicals of the left have attempted to demonize Donald Trump since he entered politics. They’ve used their tools in the MSM to spread an array of vile untruths about the man. But their propaganda operation miraculously collapsed after a 90-minute debate. All of America saw the real Joe Biden vs the Joe Biden narrative which we had been gaslighted with for years. We learned that the Democrats – and their MSM propaganda operation – had been bearing false witness about Joe Biden and Donald Trump to undermine our self-governance.

The exposure of the false narrative set off a civil war of finger pointing in the Democrat party and began changing voter minds. People are moving towards the man demonized by the propaganda, and away from the man deified by the narrative. Given the post debate reaction to Joe Biden, Donald Trump must have felt like he had been dealt four aces from the deck.

For the first time in our history, a political party is using the power of the legal system to imprison an opposition candidate. It is the ultimate “end justifies the means” tactic. Donald Trump faces trial in four cities, for charges brought by 3 different Democrat prosecutors. All the cases are based on dishonest creative interpretation of the law. But after the indictments, each case has fortuitously – or divinely – begun falling apart.

The man who almost became a Supreme Court Justice – Merrick Garland – demonstrated his Constitutional illiteracy when he appointed a private citizen (Jack Smith) to prosecute Donald Trump. A federal judge in Florida read a few amicus briefs and an opinion written by Justice Clarence Thomas and then dismissed the classified document case against Trump – ruling that Smith had no more authority to prosecute someone that the gender fluid barista at the corner coffee bodega, though the judge worded it with more legal flair.

In Atlanta, DA Fani Willis charged Donald Trump with multiple RICO violations for interfering with an election. But in the process, Fani drew a bit too much attention to herself and her less than ethical behavior. The Atlanta case is now on hold while inquiries into the prosecutor’s conduct play out. Fani may find herself in more legal jeopardy than the Donald.

In Manhattan, DA Alvin Bragg tried to put Trump in jail for the rest of his natural life for alleged bookkeeping errors – even though nobody was defrauded. His improbable case received a big assist by the Honorable Justice Juan Merchan, who demonstrated that robes and titles are no assurance of honor or justice.

Merchan’s conduct of the trial was so outrageous that it has been condemned by legal scholars, and is now perceived as a “kangaroo proceeding” by even laypersons. Merchan delivered a conviction, but the Donald benefitted from the unintended consequences – a surge in political standing and campaign contributions. With this turn of events – and a sharp rap on the knuckles from the Supreme Court – Justice Merchan has given himself two months to reconsider the verdict.

The Donald must have been thrilled when his legal jeopardy morphed into a political windfall. Had he just been dealt four more aces?

The left has spent the last 8 years trying to justify their hatred of Donald Trump by demonizing and dehumanizing him. They have indulged in an orgy of murder porn – fantasizing about a Trump death by the most gruesome means possible. Now we know where that tactic leads. It leads to a youth – with a defective moral compass – taking the action that the murder porn producers only dreamed about. The hatred led to death and suffering – one innocent person killed, and multiple others injured during an assassination attempt.

But as usual, unintended consequences are the bane of radicals. In this case, an attempted murder turned “orange man bad” into a patriotic symbol of courage and resilience. I suspect Kathy Griffin didn’t expect that outcome when she suggested that decapitating Trump would be cool. The Donald knows that he wasn’t lucky. The four aces he received on July 13 were dealt by the hand of God.

Is Donald Trump the luckiest man alive, or has the hand of God been at play all along? Has he really drawn four aces in three consecutive poker hands (a 1 in 20 quadrillion chance for us tech geeks) because he’s lucky, or is something else going on? When one person benefits from such an unlikely string of events, is it really a chance alignment of improbable occurrences? Or are we being offered a lesson? Are we being shown that the path of hatred and deception leads to death and destruction? How different would America be if Biden, Bragg, Willis, Merchan, Smith and countless others acted out of love, honesty, and fairness?

We’ve seen the Republican convention this week and we’ll be seeing the Democrat convention next month. Those on the side of love and those on the side of hate will be on full display.
