Americans are probably the most deceived and propagandized people on the planet. We think we’re free… but we’re not as free as we think. In fact, we’re not even close to free.
Let us review that venerable document of the 1840s called The Communist Manifesto, looking at its infamous 10 planks. What do we find?
Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
We are already there. Even if you own your home, you don’t own your home. You pay rent to the local government, and if Harris wins, you will pay rent to the federal government as well. Failure to pay? Your home is seized. But not all rent is yet being seized. Score = 5
A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
The 16th Amendment did this to us, courtesy of our own vaunted state lawmakers. Score = 10.
Abolition of all right of inheritance.
In the United States, this is called the Estate Tax. While the exclusion amounts are reasonably high, once you hit just over $13.6 million, the tax is 40% of anything after that. This has the effect of dampening large inheritances, so that a middleclass person will have difficulty accumulating sufficient wealth to challenge the top elite. Score = 5
Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
Unless you are super wealthy, try getting over $10,000 out of the country, especially if you want to emigrate. If you transfer money incrementally, you can be charged for structurally evading the law. And if you are classified a “rebel,” watch out. You might end up like Robert E. Lee, whose entire estate in Virginia was seized by the federal government and used to create Arlington National Cemetery, even though he was never charged with a crime. Score = 7
Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.
The Federal Reserve national banking system has been in place for over 100 years. Score = 10
Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the state.
Fifty years ago, we had only three major networks, and of course “public” radio and TV. People who complain about the bias of the news today ought to go back and watch news coverage of the Vietnam War. And because all communications were licensed by the state, all communications were controlled by the state… for the purpose of licensure is control. Of course, a free internet is a serious challenge to the state’s monopoly. Score = 10.
Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state; the bringing into cultivation of wastelands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
The federal government is the single largest landowner in the United States, holding over 28% of the country and doling out natural resources to the elite. This was the primary purpose of President Theodore Roosevelt’s conservation programs, currently called “wise use” policies. For over 100 years, the federal government has worked tirelessly to seize control and ownership of the means of production… especially land. Score = 10.
Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
Yes, we have a massive welfare system today, one that is so pervasive that Leftists need to import new slave labor to compensate for the loss of the slave labor of the welfare class. So, we are not fully there yet. But we do have industrial armies in the form of labor unions, and we have the ongoing and aggressive consolidation of farms into “agribusinesses.” Score = 5.
Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equable distribution of the population over the country.
The key issue here is not what is precisely happening, but who or what is making it happen. Today, the federal government is actively working to redistribute the population to fit their… and big industry’s… desires. Score = 5.
Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children’s factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.
Of course, the idea that it’s “free” is a massive deception. You pay for this, even if you privately school or homeschool your children. “Public schools” are actually government schools. While there were a handful of taxpayer supported schools at the local level in early America, the development of wide-spread government education began in the 1840s, when children in Massachusetts were forcibly escorted, against parental wishes, to the new schools by Soldiers. Our schools today are largely patterned on the Prussian/German model, with the intent to create an “educated” populace for industry and the military. Score = 10.
So… what is the score for the United States? 77% Marxist. We’ve been living in what is largely a Marxist nation all of our lives… and didn’t even know it.
Perhaps it’s time we came out of the night.
