Months Before Thanksgiving

Twas months before Thanksgiving

and all through the voter ranks,

worry and fears that calamity would befall

And there be no one left to give thanks.

But lo, it became abundantly clear,

As the polls closed one after another,

The Republicans would soon overpower

And the Democrats they would smother.

Today, the elitest are thankful

They still live in such a land

Where S.O.B.S. can be voted out

When the 4-year hourglass has drained its sand.

With New Year’s resolutions just ahead, and

Depending on which side you sit of the political divide;

Perhaps we might best be planning 2028 to either

Oust the Sons Of Brothers & Sisters or let them continue to provide.

On this day of gratitude, we truly give thanks

That the divisive day has passed;

All are united in hopes of happy times

And may the euphoria last and last.
