WATCH: Death toll rises to 16 as wildfires continue to ravage Los Angeles

Los Angeles remains engulfed in flames as firefighters battle six major wildfires that have claimed 16 lives.

The largest blaze, the Palisades Fire, has consumed 21,317 acres in the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood, with containment at just 8%.

While strong winds are fueling the infernos, threatening to spread embers further, authorities warn that worsening weather conditions in the coming days could escalate the crisis.

At least six wildfires are still burning across Los Angeles County.
