President Donald Trump on Monday issued roughly 1,500 pardons and commuted the sentences of 14 of his supporters in connection with the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Many Republican lawmakers who condemned the violence around Jan. 6 and said the rioters shouldn’t be pardoned shortly after were silent about the pardons. The panel discusses.
