Time – is all I have.
At least, I had it yesterday,
Yesterday, now gone away,
So far away from me.
Now – is all I have,
Now, until it steals away.
Steals away, another day
Now gone away so soon.
When I was young,
Tomorrow was the land of wishes.
A beautiful mirage across the sands.
As I grew near, the wishes laughed
And flew away…
Not noticing my outstretched hands.
And yet, we have today,
Now, before it’s swept away.
The part we play, and what we say
Don’t let them slip away.
