Last month, The New York Times published an article that said President Joe Biden was too old to run for re-election.
The Times interviewed “nearly 50 Democratic officials, from county leaders to members of Congress,” most of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity, and there appeared to be universal agreement Biden was “an anchor that should be cut loose in 2024.”
David Axelrod, the chief strategist for Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns, said: “The presidency is a monstrously taxing job and the stark reality is the president would be closer to 90 than 80 at the end of a second term, and that would be a major issue. He looks his age and isn’t as agile in front of a camera as he once was, and this has fed a narrative about competence that isn’t rooted in reality.”
The piece blamed his dismal job approval results on his administration’s inability “to pass big-ticket legislation on signature Democratic issues as well as his halting efforts to use the bully pulpit of the White House to move public opinion.”
Conspicuously missing from the article was the real reason he should no longer serve as president: His obvious cognitive decline.
If anyone were to admit this, they would be asked to explain why, fully aware of his condition, they supported his candidacy.
On his Friday night show, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson said he’d learned from a source that Biden was given cognitive enhancement drugs ahead of every campaign appearance and that his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, was in on it.
“His staff, supervised by Dr. Jill, his wife, was giving him pills before every public appearance. Checking the time, and at the certain hour giving him a dose of something,” Carlson told viewers.
“Before taking the medications, this person said Biden was ‘like a small child.’ You could not communicate with him, he changed completely because he was on drugs and he clearly still is on drugs.”
There’s no law against backing a senile candidate for the highest office in the land, but what kind of American would pull out all the stops to elect a man who belongs in a nursing home, to the presidency?
One whose personal ambitions trumped the best interests of America.
Biden himself has wanted to be president forever. But this mediocrity failed to make it into the top tier of candidates in either of his previous attempts. And in the 2020 primaries, Biden was looking at a third failure until Democrats, fearing that Sen. Bernie Sanders would win the nomination, cranked up their powerful machine to resurrect his candidacy. After finishing fifth in the New Hampshire primary, Biden won big in South Carolina and the rest is history.
Jill Biden wanted to be First Lady so badly, she was willing to cover up her husband’s slide into dementia and allow him to be humiliated on the world stage. And members of Biden’s campaign wanted cushy jobs in a future Biden administration.
And together, they perpetrated one of the biggest frauds in political history.
We have no idea if this information is true, although it’s certainly something many of us have wondered about.
The quality of Biden’s public appearances varies. In other words, he sometimes surprises us with his coherence. But at other times, he stumbles and bumbles his way through events, slurring his words and even losing his train of thought. The latter performances are becoming far more common as his condition worsens.
Former President Donald Trump asked for drug tests prior to the 2020 debates. Team Biden flatly refused.
Unfortunately, we can’t force Biden to take a drug test, but he should be required to take a cognitive test. Biden’s cognitive decline is real and the whole world knows it.
The American people deserve some answers.

A knowing cabal of Democrats realized that the 25th Amendment required that the inner circle, including the cabinet, agree on any removal of the president so if they could just get him into office they had four years where they could be the power behind the thrown and there wasn’t anything that could be done about it. So, while it is not against the law to back a senile candidate our laws need to be reviewed with an eye towards closing the loophole that allowed them to keep a mentally incompetent person in office so that they could be the power behind the thrown.
