Meloni’s victory presents a clear and present danger to the globalist agenda

Giorgio Meloni’s stunning victory in Italy has sent shockwaves throughout globalist circles in Europe and the U.S. Nearly every media report has tied Meloni to former Italian dictator and founder of the National Fascist Party Benito Mussolini, whose rule came to an inglorious end in the final days of World War II.

Calling Italy “the birthplace of fascism,” the New York Times noted Meloni’s victory “comes as formerly taboo and marginalized parties with Nazi or fascist heritages are entering the mainstream — and winning elections — across Europe.”

The Financial Times editorial board informed readers Meloni’s victory warrants “concern, but not panic.” Concern because her “hard-right” Brothers of Italy Party has its “roots in the neo-fascist movement.” But they needn’t panic because “Meloni’s Atlanticism and strong support for Ukraine makes her premiership easier for Brussels to swallow.” Additionally, Italy’s “current dire economy,” they believe, will put a break on most of her extreme agenda. Meloni’s “political fate is tied to that of the economy.”

CBS News’ coverage of Meloni’s victory may have been the most outrageous. They played clips from Mussolini’s March on Rome and videos of him with Adolph Hitler during World War II, while suggesting that members of Meloni’s party are the political heirs of the National Fascist Party.

Left-wing site Vox warned readers, “Despite Meloni’s and other right-wing figures’ insistence to the contrary — and despite the brutality of Mussolini’s fascist movement in Italy and across Europe — his influence never completely receded from Italian politics.”

Days before the election, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen delivered a speech at Princeton University in which she addressed the possibility of a Meloni win. She reassured her concerned audience. “If things go in a difficult direction, I’ve spoken about Hungary and Poland, we have tools,” she said. Von der Leyen would control the far-right Meloni through the power of the purse. (Emphasis added.)

All this fearmongering is confusing to most of us because Meloni’s platform boils down to common sense. It is based on “God, country and family.” She opposes illegal immigration, doesn’t buy into climate change being an imminent threat, and rails against the Left’s assault on the family and our personal freedom. Far from being radical, these are positions many of us share.

Like Toto pulling back the curtain to expose the great and powerful Wizard of Oz as a fraud, Meloni simply spoke the truth about the globalist agenda. In a fiery speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in February, Meloni condemned the deliberate attack on the family. The elite have weaponized social justice to first, destroy the family, and then the individual. By erasing our identities, we become much easier to control. And control of the masses is the Left’s desired endgame.

It’s no coincidence that one of the 13 guiding principles of Black Lives Matter calls for the “the disruption of Western nuclear family dynamics.” This principle comes directly from Karl Marx’ Communist Manifesto.

“Why is the family an enemy? Why is the family so frightening?” Meloni demands to know in a speech that has gone viral since her victory. “There is a single answer to all these questions. Because it defines us. Because it is our identity. Because everything that defines us is now an enemy for those who would like us to no longer have an identity and to simply be perfect consumer slaves,” Meloni said.

“And so they attack national identity, they attack religious identity, they attack gender identity, they attack family identity. I can’t define myself as: Italian, Christian, woman, mother. No. I must be citizen x, gender x, parent 1, parent 2. I must be a number. Because when I am only a number, when I no longer have an identity or roots, then I will be the perfect slave at the mercy of financial speculators.

Meloni continued, “That’s why we inspire so much fear. Because we do not want to be numbers. We will defend the value of the human being. Every single human being. Because each of us has a unique genetic code that is unrepeatable. And, like it or not, that is sacred.

“We will defend it. We will defend God, country, and family — those things that disgust people so much.”

The truth is that what’s ailing conservatives in Italy are the same issues that are ailing us. Like former President Donald Trump, Meloni has identified the problem and revealed the cause. Her victory presents a clear and present danger to the Left’s agenda. A populist uprising could mean the loss of all the progress they’ve worked for years to achieve, hence the inevitable smear campaign.

While “many of us share” those ideas, to the left and the credentialed media — please, pardon the redundancy — those notions are just horrible. Those ideas are also, Heaven forfend! the same things on which Donald Trump campaigned.

    • It seems to me that both the left and, unfortunately, the right have positioned their narrative in such a way that anything that approaches rationality can always be characterized as ‘radical‘ and/or ‘unnecessarily complex‘ because the elites know that they can maintain the status quo by making the electorate fear any change that would be required to bring it about.

  2. Meanwhile, Ursula Van Der Leyen, of EU fame was heard saying “Vee have our vays”, for keeping this fascist from power. I imagine Ursula is trying real hard, now, to come up with misery for Italy, since her “vays” include economic punishment, and since the gal won. Ursula’s comment was seen as ways to keep her from power. Those EU gods are not very happy.
