We’ve got it wrong. Trump is on the wrong track… he wants to Make America Great Again.
In contrast, Biden, Harris and the Neocons want to Maintain America’s Globalist Agenda. Silly Trump. His focus is the United States. The other side is focused on America ruling the world. They… not Trump… are the true MAGA.
Sadly, the concept of “American Exceptionalism” has been distorted by the elite Neocons. The original idea as espoused by many of the founders of the United States was to make America “a city on a hill…” not to rule the world, but an example for others. James Madison wrote in Federalist 46 that the nations of Europe didn’t allow their people to own arms, because if so, they would overthrow their elites. Interference by the United States would be unnecessary, for the example of America’s liberty under law would be enough.
But today, Neocons view “American Exceptionalism” as the United States imposing its will on the rest of the world. At one time, this agenda seemed right and honorable… liberating the oppressed, as the motto of American’s Special Forces units put it. But over the last decade, this agenda has taken a radical shift, from pushing baby killing, dangerous injections with indigenous peoples as the unwilling test subjects (a clear violation of the Nürnberg Code), and now transgenderism and the mutilation of the genitals of little children. And they wish to impose this radical agenda via over 700 military bases in over 80 nations around the globe.
But it’s more than just this wacky social agenda. In many ways, the true agenda is to control the resources of the world for the benefit of a handful of Neocon oligarchs. At one point, during the period of the Yeltsin government, the West was leveraging the resources of Russia for their benefit, largely through the IMF and U.S. Treasury policy through the creation of favored Russian oligarchs. Billions of dollars of crude oil, aluminum and natural gas were siphoned off, with both Russian oligarchs and foreign businessman making off with the loot.[1] And this is just what we know about.
Is it any wonder that leaders in Russia look at us with a jaundiced eye?
The United States and some other Western nations, like Germany and Britain, tried this after supporting the Bolshevik Revolution in 1918. Large corporations invested heavily to rebuild the Soviet economy, only to lose much of it when it was nationalized in the 1930s.[2] Efforts continued by Western businesses to leverage Soviet/Russian resources for their own benefit well into the 1970s and 80s. For example, the Kama River truck plant, built in the early 1970s and the largest truck plant in the world, produced the lion’s share of modern heavy trucks for the Soviet and Russian military.[3] More than 700 international companies assisted the project, with 30% of the effort from the United States, and KamAZ trucks began appearing in Soviet motorized rifle units by the mid-1970s, soon doubling the logistical lift for Soviet combat and support units.[4] Despite historical knowledge that motorized transport is the lifeblood of modern militaries, the CIA seemed astonished that KamAZ trucks ended up in the Soviet Army.[5]
The Yeltsin years promised more chances for Western businesses to profit from plundering Russian resources. But this has been significantly curtailed by the Putin administration, prompting a hissy fit among Neocons. The mask is now off, and the Neocons, both Democrat and Republican, have been exposed for what they are. They push the leftist social nonsense for population “management,” all the while pushing for war and more war to make easy profits.
Unlike the old Left who opposed war, Neocons are Leftists who love war.
And since they love war… and the money from it… they demand that the average Joe fight and die in their wars of conquest so they can seize resources from recalcitrant nations that refuse to be plundered.

Bill Kristol, neocon extraordinaire, never met a war in which he did not want the United States involved. However, the distinguished Mr Kristol, born in 1952, was of age to have enlisted in the United States Army in late 1970, when the war in Vietnam was still raging, but chose not to do so. He lucked out with a high draft lottery number, so he was never called.
Mr Kristol is the ultimate hypocrite: he wants to send Other People to fight in the wars he loves so much, but was unwilling to do so himself.
Dana… thanks for your comment and excellent point. I think Neocons, from Aunt Vicky Nuland down the line, including ole Billy, should be given an 80-lb ruck, three days of rations and a basic load of ammo, and then hide-strapped each to a Predator drone and drop them into the fight outside Vuhledar. They can then fight the evil “Pulter” to their hearts content. 🙂
