The Establishment Republicans, whether they cloak themselves a MAGA or not, are extreme gas-lighting Americans on the Big, Beautiful Bill for Budget Reconciliation. It is Scam. A Con. A Grift. The tasty tidbits like keeping the 2017 Tax Cuts are fouled with the putrid, diseased helpings of suicidal spending. The whole mess lacks a good helping of promises made: promises kept.
Four courageous Republicans on the Budget Committee voted “No” on principle to kill this version of the bloody abortion of a bill. Led by the indomitable Chip Roy, of course.
The Big Beautiful Bill (BBB for short which could also be called Bloody Bad Business or Bad, Bogus, and Bonkers) increases the National Debt by about $10 Trillion over 10 years.
The spending increases the deficit to $10 Trillion. The bogus “cuts” in deficits are imaginary because they come years from now. They avoid going whole hog up to $12 Trillion in additional spending. Of course, the bill won’t stay in effect for 10 years. It will simply screw the country for 2 years until the Democrats take over again and make it worse.
The DOGE cuts in spending are NOT included.
Modest reforms, like work requirements for Medicaid recipients (80 hours per month of work, community service, or education), are delayed until 2029. So, the Democrats can make sure they never happen.
Medicaid expansions from the 2010 Affordable Care Act aren’t repealed. There are no restrictions on state-funded Medicaid for illegal aliens .
There’s no immediate and blanket repeal of green energy tax credits from Biden’s bogus Inflation Reduction Act (it’s actually a Green Scam Expansion Act). The repeal of some credits (e.g., electric vehicle and residential energy efficiency credits) only apply to consumers. Businesses cashing in on the Climate Cult continue to make bank. State’s are prohibited from stopping insane carbon removal scams.
Doesn’t immediately and permanently un-fund the NGOs supporting the illegal alien invasion.
Increases the State and Local Tax (SALT) exemption which reduces revenues and allows Blue state pols to keep raising local and state taxes.
Provides a four year tax cut of $4k on Social Security taxes. Does NOT keep President Trump’s promise of the full repeal of the double tax on Social Security. This is true betrayal of the voters.
It gets worse.
Republicans are selling this stinking pile of bovine feces as a good deal. They beclown themselves.
Establishment Republicans, which is practically all elected Republican career pols, are the enemy of The People. They are different from Democrats only by degrees. They campaign as Conservatives, but serve only their donors and their cronies who enrich them, their families, and connections.
They make the label “Republican” utterly meaningless.
Additionally, these clueless Congress critters don’t know the basic economics where tax cuts “pay” for themselves over time with capital growth. Likewise, spending causes inflation.
Consequently, any normal person would conclude tax cuts and spending cuts go hand in hand to increase revenue and lower inflation. But, what is good for all Americans isn’t good enough for the lobbyists paying off Congress. The Nation gets what Congress is paid for.
If only Rush Limbaugh were alive to articulate “What is what” to rally The People to make Republicans fix the BBB.
It’s up to you Citizen John and Jane Smith to make Congress do their duty rightly.
