Anti-ICE Virtue-Signaling is Disgraceful; Concern for Illegal Aliens but not US Citizens is infuriating

I am sick and tired of all the virtue-signaling about the unnamed “neighbors” of Minnesota protestors who are supposedly being “attacked” by ICE and other federal officers in the illegal immigrant sweeps that have been ongoing over the past couple of months. Note: the vast majority of those “neighbors” are illegal aliens because that is whom ICE is targeting!

Every elected Democrat has had their X account managers (kids) posting outrage and crocodile tear support while condemning the sweeps that have rolled up 4000+ criminal illegal aliens to date. Every legacy media outfit has had Democrats and anti-ICE enablers crying about “ICE atrocities” and the supposed nazi-like tactics being employed against “lawful observers” and “peaceful protestors” ad nauseum. And those same virtue-signalers are shedding crocodile tears over the two protestors who were killed in Minnesota without providing any context at all about the circumstances in which they were killed.

Never mind that many of the Minnesota protestors are from out of state; some reports claim over half are not from Minnesota. There are several YouTube videos that have captured the protestors themselves in various states admitting that they’ve been paid. Here is a video showing paid protestors being bussed to a Target in Boston. And here is a video catching anti-ICE protestors making JOB LISTINGS for up to $4.2K per month:

ActBlue has funneled billions of dollars for activist groups like Indivisible Twin Cities, who is orchestrating the resistance on ICE agents in Minneapolis. Indivisible has been caught paying protesters, and they’ve received over $7.6 million from the Open Society Foundation, funded by George Soros.

But what really burns me up is that none of these virtue-signaler ever talk about the crimes being committed by the violent anti-ICE protestors themselves. Nor do they talk about the DOZENS of innocent Americans who have been killed while simply going about their daily lives by illegal aliens let into the US by the Biden regime in violation of existing US immigration laws.

Let’s examine that issue.

LAWS VIOLATED BY THE ILLEGAL ALIENS AND ANTI-ICE PROTESTORS

The virtue-signalers might has a smidgeon of legitimacy in their caterwauling if they at acknowledge the laws that have been broken with impunity by the illegal aliens they defend, as well as many of the anti-ICE protestors, including:

1. Existing US immigration laws requiring deportation of all illegal aliens (which has been the law of the land for years, including during the Obama years!). The laws that weren’t enforced during the Biden regime include:

a. 8 U.S.C. § 1325 — Improper entry by alien. This criminalizes illegal entry into the US.

b. 8 U.S.C. § 1326 — Reentry of removed aliens (often called “illegal reentry”). This is a felony that criminalizes entering, attempting to enter, or being found in the U.S. after having been deported, removed, or denied admission. Many of the illegals being swept up in ICE raids broke this law.

c. 8 U.S.C. § 1324 — Bringing in and harboring certain aliens. While this primarily targets those who smuggle, transport, harbor, or encourage illegal entry/stay (often third parties), it relates to broader enforcement against unauthorized presence. An estimated 300,000+ human-trafficked children were brought into the US by illegal aliens during the Biden administration.

2. 18 U.S.C. § 111, titled “Assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees.” This is what many of the “protestors” have been doing, i.e., breaking the law! Minor personnel injuries have been sustained by ICE and other law enforcement officers in Minneapolis and Los Angeles to date, and several hundred arrests have been made nationwide since the protests intensified last month, including Los Angeles’ 60-plus arrests, Minneapolis’ dozens, New York’s 66, and smaller clusters in a handful of other cities.

3. 18 U.S.C. § 115 (threats or violence against federal officials or their families to impede duties, often via threats). This is the doxing/targeting that the organized protestors have been doing. Again, breaking the law!

4. 18 U.S.C. § 372, titled “Conspiracy to impede or injure officer.” This applies to every protestor coordinating on Signal or other app, as well as to DFL officials who are aiding and abetting the criminality cited above. Protestors have been using Signal chats for real-time alerts on ICE agent locations, vehicle tracking, and raid interventions, with other tools like Red Dot, DeICER, and ICEBlock having already been removed from app stores for endangering federal agents.

5. 18 U.S.C. § 248, titled “Freedom of access to clinic entrances” (the FACE Act). Under this paragraph, it is unlawful for anyone to, “by force, threat of force, or physical obstruction,” intentionally injure, intimidate, or interfere (or attempt to do so) with a person exercising or seeking to exercise their First Amendment right of religious freedom at a place of religious worship. This applies to ALL of the protestors who broke into that church in Minneapolis, including the execrable Don Lemon.

6. 18 U.S.C. § 1361, titled “Government property or contracts.” Multiple hotels in Minneapolis have sustained damage, including smashed windows, graffiti (e.g., “ICE OUT OF MPLS” and other anti-ICE slogans), broken glass, and attempts to enter lobbies by force. Specific examples include thousands of dollars in damage at the Home2 Suites by Hilton, Depot Renaissance Hotel ($6,000 reported in one incident), Hilton Canopy Hotel, and Graduate Hotel. Government and private vehicles not belonging to ICE officers have also been damaged and items stolen in some cases following shootings.

7. And then there is an unknown number of crimes committed by illegal aliens after arriving in the US, all of which could have been avoided by strict enforcement of US immigration laws. As one data point, for FY2024, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) reported arrests of illegal aliens with criminal histories as follows: 81,312 noncitizens were arrested with criminal history with a total of 516,050 charges/convictions, including 2,894 homicides, 57,081 assaults, 18,579 sexual assaults/sex offenses, 12,895 weapons offenses, 11,822 burglaries, 5,462 robberies, 2,766 kidnappings. And these were committed AFTER they were let in per the Biden/Mayorkas lax immigration enforcement policies! The costs to Americans’ lives and properties is incalculable.

In short, the virtue-signalers are completely silent on the crimes committed by the illegal aliens about whom they are so “concerned,” as well as by some of the well-organized protestors and their DFL-media enablers.

COMPARISON OF TWO PROTESTOR DEATHS TO MURDERS BY ILLEGAL ALIENS

Now let’s compare the leftist caterwauling over the deaths of two protestors in Minneapolis to the deaths of DOZENS of Americans at the hands of illegal aliens – you know, the kinds of illegal aliens that the organized professional protestors in Minnesota and their DFL enablers are so concerned about.

First of all, I regret all loss of life. The death circumstances between the two killed in the protests are entirely different from the deaths of all the innocents killed by illegal aliens over the last decade or more. Pretti Good CHOSE to be there (Pretti was carrying in direct violation of Minnesota state law that prohibits carrying during protests, and Good tried to run over an ICE officer); they’d still be alive if they didn’t make the choices they did.

The innocents killed by illegals didn’t choose anything other than to live their lives (and would still be alive if Biden/Democrats hadn’t let the illegals into the country in violation of pre-existing US immigration laws in the first place). There’s a world of difference in circumstances, and those that can’t figure that out who are screeching about it all over social media and elsewhere are beyond hope and need serious therapy. Some of them need to be rolled up for inciting violence (refer to 18 U.S.C. § 372).

DEBUNKING THE LIBERTARIAN TAKE

Confused libertarian thinking is what is behind much of the virtue-signaling, especially on the Pretti shooting, as they seem to think that people should be able to do almost anything without regard to consequences, and that any consequences for bad actions (i.e., arrests for law-breaking) are “oppression.” This outstanding piece demolishes that libertarian take:

The facts were never complicated: an armed civilian inserted himself into a volatile confrontation with federal agents during an active operation. That’s not a courtroom debate. That’s a high-adrenaline environment where every decision carries lethal stakes. Rights don’t suspend physics. They don’t freeze human reaction time. They don’t override use-of-force laws that have existed for decades. You can be legally armed and still behave recklessly enough to trigger a fatal chain of events.

And that’s the part social media libertarians refused to say out loud.

Because acknowledging responsibility ruins the performance. It forces them to admit a truth modern culture — especially online culture — hates: rights and responsibilities are welded together. You don’t get one without the other. The Second Amendment isn’t a personality trait. It’s a civic burden. It assumes restraint, judgment, and situational awareness. A responsible armed citizen avoids escalation. He doesn’t walk into it to prove a philosophical point.

CONCLUDING THOUGHTS

The virtue-signalers are in the minority regarding ICE deportations. The latest Rasmussen Reports polling on support for deportations (with the most relevant recent data from mid-to-late January 2026 surveys) shows strong overall backing for President Trump’s efforts to find and deport illegal immigrants, particularly when framed around enforcement actions. Key findings found that nearly two-thirds (around 65-66%) of Americans support President Trump’s efforts to find and deport illegal immigrants. This includes a majority of independents, over a third of Democrats, and almost two-thirds of Hispanic respondents. This support is described as broad-based across age groups, racial/ethnic backgrounds, and political affiliations, with immigration enforcement remaining one of Trump’s strongest issues despite broader declines in his immigration handling ratings.

On the other hand, the virtue-signaling about the two protestor deaths in Minnesota is simply intolerable, given the crimes committed by the protestors (ongoing), as well as the silence on murders and thousands of other serious crimes committed by illegal aliens over the past decade.

Stated another way: Let’s play the Left’s numbers game. Two people were killed who chose to be there regardless of the circumstances of their deaths versus many dozens of innocent Americans who were just living their lives but were killed by illegal aliens. That’s all that matters to me. I am not interested in throwing the book at anyone for those two deaths regardless of what happened, especially when the violent protestors and particularly the Democrat inciters and funders are walking around free as birds.

And I’m certainly not interested in virtue-signalers who apparently are fine with law-breaking and are more concerned about the welfare of their “illegal alien neighbors” than US citizens.

Now THIS is more like it: “Federal prosecutors have charged more than 150 anti-ICE protesters in Minnesota with crimes ranging from obstruction of federal agents to FACE Act violations — offenses that carry penalties from fines to years in prison.”

More, please!

The end.
