Joe Biden’s China problem

Why did China give about $70 million to the University of Pennsylvania (Penn), located in Philadelphia?

In 2017 Penn hired Joe “The Big Guy” to its faculty as the Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor. Penn paid Big Guy $390,000 for 2017 and over $400,000 for 2018. But Professor Biden did not teach a single course. The average salary for full-time professors who actually teach, was $214,000. It was a no-show job.

Also in 2017, Penn opened the Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement. Since the Biden Center opened and after Joe Biden announced he was running for President in April 2018, Penn received over $70 million from China, of which $22 million was listed as “Anonymous” donors.

On January 28, 2021, Republican Representatives James Comer, Jim Jordan, and Virginia Foxx sent a follow-up letter Penn because they did not receive a reply to their August 3, 2020 letter:

“On August 3, 2020, we wrote to you regarding unreported and anonymous foreign donations to the University of Pennsylvania from foreign adversaries such as Russia, China, Qatar, and Iran. We have yet to receive a response. In light of your university’s close relationship with the Biden family and recent revelations regarding their potentially illicit ties to foreign adversaries including China, we request an immediate response to this inquiry….

On February 1, 2017, University of Pennsylvania announced the formation of the Biden Center. In the 37 months of available reporting prior to the announcement of the Biden Center, the University received about $21,187,333 from China. In contrast, in the 39 months of available reporting since the announcement of the Biden Center, the University received $72,274,675 from China—an increase of $51,087,342 in a similar time frame.”

Biden’s Secretary of State, Tony Blinken, was the managing director of the Biden Center, and other Biden aides such as Steve Ricchetti worked at the Biden Center, which has its offices in Washington DC.

In 2017 and 2018, Biden also reported income of over 15 million, primarily from his book deals and speaking engagements.

Yet Biden agreed to the Biden Center scheme, why? He didn’t need the money given his book deals. The Biden Center, funded by China, served as a “think tank” for Biden and his aides to have a salary, and an office in Washington DC, after they left the White House in 2016, and were waiting to run for office in 2020. It shows a level of greed, and lack of judgment to have China fund his Center.

The reality is that China funded an operation for Biden and his staff by giving money to Penn and Penn allowing its name to be used by Biden to give the smelly scheme cover.

The president of Penn since 2016, Amy Gutman, was just nominated by Biden to serve as ambassador to Germany.

The crime is not that Biden accepted this money that ultimately came from China but that the Democratic Party media, Democrats, and most Republicans have not questioned and challenged Biden.

The Democrats and their media lapdogs have seized on January 6, 2021, to attack President Trump and distract attention from Biden’s problems. The Castrati Wing of the Republican Party, led by Romney, Cheney, and others are more interested in attacking President Trump than examining the Biden problems.
