Funny how politics and justice work in a country of laws and not men. Obama undertook this effort with the Iranians when the vast majority of Americans did not support it. That act could be overlooked, but it is hard to dismiss the Iranians-the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Quds force under them commanded by Gen Kassem Salamonie-were busy perfecting improvised explosive devices to counter American protective measures, eventually implementing the explosively formed penetrators device based on anti-tank mines that are capable of burning through and defeating the thickest armor in the inventory-and making mincemeat out of cargo or utility vehicles: they did that. Getting better at it every year, exporting the technique to Afghanistan and other countries involved in local or offensive terror operations: while our government was in talks and negotiating with them, while shaming Israel for not caving to US and Palestinian demands, that similarly lacked a strong US statement withholding support and funds until the Palestinians stopped and disavowed terrorism.
This is the real scandal in all this-it doesn’t matter what I or anybody else thinks about the Beast of Kandahar. Between the Quds force and Operation Cassandra described in a previous article, this administration ignored those deaths, the drug dealing that fed addiction in the American people, and a Hezbollah effort-based in America (North Carolina) that funded Shia weapons supply killing our military and contractors. I guess it would have been worse somehow only if it was made up collusion during an election to frame the opposition candidate using the Russians…One received accolades for bold policy, while the other was smeared, investigated, tortured by a Special Counsel who was appointed to investigate something that was already known to be phony, impeached and eventually cheated out of office.
I don’t want to dwell on the Iranian deal because it is well known-people have moved on somehow and Obladiblada…But the takeaway from this effort is this was the formation of the Obama-Dona’linsky Regime Change Band. You can almost understand how Obama felt so invulnerable coming out of the 2012 election that he would believe any and all things were possible.
No candidate-until HRC came along-had a worst last quarter leading up to an election than Obama. Don’t believe that? Well we didn’t know about Iran progress at the time-that would have been one too many bricks and at a time when Rhodes had not yet spun his magic story to tell the tale. But while the secret squirrel Iranian dialogue was ongoing, Fast and Furious was coming to a close with contempt charges for AG Holder and contempt right back at them with an assertion of Executive Privilege by Obama over documents they refused to give congress-that he had disavowed knowing about.
Putin had out finessed Obama and Ole Bolt Neck Kerry into hearting leading from behind, on the bench. Kerry had gone from “pin pricks” to speculation on how Syria could avoid US retaliation-and Putin took the initiative, put the US on its heels while Obama looked to congress for a decision-first time-and like fools they took the bait-while Russia took the lead as a Middle East peace broker.
Benghazi was next up, and you had a whole of government effort involved in the lies and coverup in advance of the 2012 election. I mentioned before, on the heels of the disaster that Libya had become-not to mention Egypt where our genius foreign policy eventually resulted in a military takeover of government that was inspiring migraines throughout the left bemoaning such a horrific outcome of a military dictatorship-caused by Obama’s failure to support Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak.
Finding that breakthrough opportunity that allowed talks to start in earnest in 2011 as reported by Poosaki in the midst of everything going on in the administration was at the very least a fortuitous circumstance.
I don’t know Vern-if you recall a similar instance of enemies or foreign countries wresting control of our UAVs or similar events that have happened-and I think that would be a huge story, like wresting control of a Predator, using the hellfire missile on friendlies, or causing the missiles to fire or cook-off prematurely-please list them down below if you find them. It is always good to know and account for those unicorn-like, black swan events under the wow, what a series of lucky coincidences must have taken place in order for this to happen in a swamp where all the coincidences have the lingering odor of gas station sushi!? Keep in mind before you go there-Predator has been in operation since at least 1993-so about 18 years at this point-I think it would have been big news notwithstanding it was somewhat on the primitive scale in comparison with the “beast” or even Global Hawk and a fraction of the cost-like a stealth briefcase per the article.
Not the least of which is the culmination of things that have not happened under the gas station sushi unfortunate coincidence label, like identification of the pipe bomber from 6 January 2021-with video, use of a cell phone, in theory the priority of the FBI and NSA on the case-nope, like Bigfoot or Sasquatch. And how many FBI agents-who had been freed up by the completion of the October 2020 surprise, FBI driven “kidnap the Michigan governor plan”-as well as others who were not busy looking into the “Russia” provided Hunter Biden laptop-that he himself dropped off for maintenance (after he got it from the Russians-maybe Russian hookers? Otay, that makes much more sense…,) so those agents were also available to help Ray Epps breach the gates and security before Trump supporters arrived at the Capital building that day…and I know what you are thinking, but they (FBI instigators) didn’t stand out like the black, white supremacist in the Tiki Torch line next to the Glenn Youngkin bus in Virginia-they blended in more like the gun loving, apple-pie like gangsta’s playing anti-racist crap at the Super Bowl….
I’m feeling just a tad guilty about the length of this series being inflicted on dear reader (although no stress, as this is like a tennis apology-and I’m admitting it.) It would have been far quicker and easier just to tout that Obama-Dona’linsky-was responsible as the silent coordinator behind the swamp Trump take down, do a laundry list of the several dozen big scandals during his administration, repeat the mantra that he was “responsible for everything his administration did or failed to do,” and then move on to more current events pressing us right now.
But the more I thought about what it took to pull myriad efforts off that were yuge Lesko deals in the scheme of things, the more disturbing it is to assess them in terms of how they could have played out like they did. From any unbiased criteria imaginable-just walking through several dozen of the biggest scandals that are well publicized-you would have to say the Obama administration was the original gang that couldn’t shoot straight.
Yet they-he-Dona’linsky himself was unfortunately somehow able to pull them off and we the United States of America are all the more worse off today that he was able to do so. Glib and convincing politicians can inspire and infect people in ways that make them see possibilities and outcomes that can border on the disturbing.
How many people who knew better sat there listening to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) lies-nodding, harrumphing-knowing it was all lies and marketing-no substance, couldn’t be true-yet never lifted a finger or said a word to help their constituents or call the alarm on what was absolutely and unequivocally a fraud perpetrated on the American people? Our elected representatives in congress: watching out for us:750K people at a time: let this happen with not a peep, a protest or a heads up. Oh yes, that’s right, endless show votes over the years that all went for naught-and when push came to shove-no replacement plan.
It was a massive and outrageous fraud, bait and switch. In our family it cost those whose insurance wasn’t paid in part by the government several thousand more a year and over time, a combination of a crippling-and useless deductible more like a catastrophic health cap-and an average of $4200 more for each birth than with the old plan they liked-but could not keep. To this day my daughter makes some health decisions based on the massive deductible and whether the check-up for her one-year-old is mandatory-covered-or not: thanks Obama!
Many of the scandals in his scandal-free administration were disasters in terms of lingering results beyond the obvious of the ACA that impacted several hundred million Americans or Fast and Furious which at last report had been traced to the killings of ~300 Mexican citizens and American Border Patrol Agent Brian A. Terry.
The OPM Cyber breach by the Chinese has likely resulted in 100 million Americans experiencing some fraud related credit problem that will never be traced to that malfeasance on the part of a bureaucrat running OPM who had no business being there. I received notification my information was compromised-in the form of government paid for credit protection-a year after the first acknowledgement of the problem by OPM, which was at least two years after it happened.
Among all the fund-raising flyers, contacts to vote-did anyone receive a heads up from their elected representative that the Chinese had their personal identifying information, and they were vulnerable to being defrauded? That might be under the important things to know from our elected officials responsible for an average of 750K of us…
His abandonment of the Defense of Marriage Act soon after election was another effort that caused chaos for many and continues to lend credence to ambiguous policy that has never really been settled in continuous and contentious battles in the courts.
Obama was personally responsible for setting back race relations at least 40 years-I give him credit for initially speaking to and acting like he was going to take on the issue of out of wedlock births and the lack of black fathers in the home, now at an epidemic rate of 78% with a poverty rate of just about 50%. But stooges of the black community (you may prefer race hustlers, in particular the “reverends” Jesse Jackson and Al Charlatan) ever mindful of protecting their schtick-hustle-that it was all whitey’s fault and pushing social welfare programs that have trapped more and more blacks each year in the cycle of poverty, were not happy with his initial commentary and he backed away from a narrative he could have carried with ease and potentially made a huge difference over.
I would have great respect for him in this area if he took those charlatans on-as a black man raised by his grandparents-and had an influence, rather than caving and embracing black gangster glitter culture and celebrating proponents thereby with appearances at the WH. Trump-the racist-did more for the black community in two years than Obama did in eight.
Between this series and the Globalist series that encompasses some 21 articles at this point, I outlined a total of some two dozen or so scandals that typify what I am referring to here. The characteristic those stories have in common is the lies told to the American people throughout their run.
Serial lying to sell a narrative is one attribute necessary to form the basis of making a case that Obama-Dona’linsky-undertook the effort to get Trump at any cost. He perhaps had a much greater tendency or propensity to surround himself with yes people than any recent president in memory-although many still rant and rave against the “evil” surrounding “W.”
Note how John Brennan-for instance-was quoted in the Project Cassandra case about the intent to influence moderate elements within Hezbollah prone to administrivia and bureaucracy-more like us-so that likely wouldn’t include the IED explosive forced penetrator crew, nor the Gaza suicide bombers. Thats the type of idyllic, Pollyanna talk that begat Fast and Furious.
I earlier made the observation that Obama was just another “nickel and dime politician” vice some wunderkind as many seemed to believe. I would caveat that observation that I meant it from the context of politicians of that “ilk” like Chuck “Home Alone” Schumer or Nanny Peloozi, Adam Schifty, or Mittens Romney as the prototypical type of politician who have no compunction or reticence to rail against some policy they oppose from their opponents one week and then willy-nilly take the opposite position mere weeks later with no explanation, discussion, or acknowledgement or concern about what lying, hypocritical hacks it confirms they are.
I’m not insinuating or stating that Obama was not a talented politician or even a unique person, but more that he was ever so much moreso capable and willing than the next guy to do what was needed to be done to get his way: whatever it took. If he had to justify paying money to the Iranians to get cooperation and continued agreement while they were holding our sailor’s hostage and insinuating any funds paid was not a ransom-when everybody suspected and deep down knew it was a ransom-so be it.
If on an issue like Fast and Furious-where for nearly a year he had denied the white house knew anything about it and had no involvement, only to assert Executive Privilege when push came to shove with congress over sharing documents, that was just playing the swampy game.
Which is why-post election-a full-court press was put on Iranian negotiations and to move out on the now completed narrative by Rhodes. And to turn to other matters, such as an opportunity to get even with Putin in Ukraine using the band like a newfound set of muscles.
