I left off with a question intended to highlight how ludicrous it is to believe that President Obama-Dona’linsky-or his leadership team, including his Chief of Staff and former National Security Advisor (WH NSA) Denis McDonough and his replacement WH NSA Susan Rice, were unaware of these actions-coordinated through WH meetings-taken against-in turn-Ukraine President Yanukovych from 2013-2014, targeting Manafort for investigation starting fall 2015 but in earnest coordinated through WH National Security Council (WH NSC) meetings in January 2016, when the Dona’Linsky Regime Change Band became an orchestra as it rapidly transitioned to targeting and running a Russian campaign interference information operation against Trump.
This effort started in WH NSC meetings and had somewhat dual-hatted leadership of the NSC staff, the HRC campaign, the Democrat National Committee (which became same-same as they torpedoed Bernie Sanders and accepted an HRC campaign bailout,) extended to the state department, the Federal Bumblers of Investigations (FBI,) the Department of Justice and the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) courts (FISC): pretty much a whole of government effort.
To believe Obama was not at the very least witting of these actions-the lowest bar imaginable given what played out-maybe a 3 on a ten scale, is laughable-and I believe the bar is more at the 8-10 point on the scale, creeping into the led-directed-perpetrated with malice aforethought-orchestrated-level. And I think I know what dear reader’s response is to this: of course, he did, everybody knows it-who cares and “What difference-at this point-does it make?”
Maybe I’m chasing rainbows and unicorns here-I mean it is coming up on six years since this happened if you consider the aftermath of the 2016 election as mostly momentum stemming from the actions undertaken from ~January 2016-January 20, 2017-at approximately 1230 when Susan Rice sent her infamous “by the book email.”
Its instructive to consider that most people still believe in the Dona’linsky scandal-free administration propaganda that was largely touted by the administration itself and the friendly LSMBTG*. I’ve covered it extensively in this and the Global Folly Back in the Swamp series with a focus on Lesko Brandon but with examples throughout of the Dona’linsky scandal ridden administration Biden played a key role in for over eight years.
I think the point in pursuing this narrative is simply to hammer an alternative or counter-message home to that of the LSMBTG narrative until it becomes as well known as the counter arguments to it: to the point where it can’t be denied-repeated-cited or “puckishly” quoted as a thing in a prelude to a contrast to other administrations while touting the Obama accomplishments or deriding the contrasted administration.
The proof this is necessary played out again over the last month with the Supreme Court leak and as recently as the past week with the tragic shootings that on the one hand are the source of silly-ridiculous-over the top nonsense takes by the LSMBTG-Blue Check Mark crowd and even our government-as they attempt to milk these incidents to energize their base on “gun control” and the vote while casting their opponents-their real enemies-as culpable somehow in these tragedies-while ignoring tragedies playing out that don’t fit their narrative, desired message and information operation to save their candidates and their leftist agenda.
This American Thinker article describes the nonsense where the Buffalo shooter has been labeled a “mainstream conservative” by some LSMBTG rags, despite his own diatribe ridden “manifesto” that describes himself as an avowed communist at the age of 12. To my point this is the issue that must be addressed to prevent this kind of nonsense from propagating into the mainline leftist-democrat-narrative:
To make matters worse, the liberticidal leftist media are falling all over themselves to maximize their exploitation of this “serious crisis,” attempting to leverage it into criticism of what is essentially the open border policy of the Biden administration. That is how this story has evolved over the past 24 hours.
We are seeing a dangerous pattern emerge with the nation’s anti-liberty left. Leftists are perfectly willing to twist the truth into whatever knots are necessary to advance their socialist national agenda. We saw that with the baby formula debacle, and now we’re seeing it here. It will only serve to deepen national divisions.
As if on cue, Biden immediately endeavored to follow-up the momentum and opportunity presented by this murderous rampage to visit the scene of the crime near immediately to push a number of his parties tired talking points about guns, assault weapons, white supremacists and “stuff.” This American Thinker article points out how many of these “mass shootings” have taken place recently and how these presidential visits to the communities seem suspiciously linked to certain narratives that make them newsworthy-or not. Regardless, President Biden manages to worsen the tragedy by showing how patently crass these incidents are being used to push the political agenda in a selective manner that smacks of pure partisanship.
Biden learned this technique on his own during his long stint in politics, but he perfected the opportunistic selection of these events from his mentor Obama. Biden didn’t visit the NY Subway mass shooting, nor any of the dozen or more incidents on the list that did not fit the “narrative.” This article points to a reason for the lack of attention to many of these incidents: there is a sub-culture of crime that has taken root in many of these cities where these incidents are becoming frequent, routine, and seemingly unstoppable. Most if not all don’t fit the messaging and narrative being pursued like the Buffalo shooting.
The irony here is this is another example of the blinding flash of the obvious being taken advantage of for political gain. Near unanimous condemnation of racist violence in all of its forms does not extend to many of these incidents that drop from the LSMBTG coverage like yesterdays news when they prove to be the narrative not being pushed. Contrast the administration response to Buffalo vice Waukeshau and it is blatantly obvious what is at play here-and it is being noted and said out loud by many.
This seeming tangent away from our topic of Dona’linsky knowing about his own NSC leading the Regime Change Band-out of the WH is about narratives of administrations and what makes them worthwhile-or not-to pursue. In the case of Obama he settled into a routine with the HRC campaign where he remained somewhat aloof and above the fray from many standpoints regarding the 2016 election until the critical period where he joined HRC on the campaign trail at the relatively late 11th hour of July 2016, 5 July to be exact. A date noteworthy for this series standpoint because it was coincidentally the same day the FBI Director Comey usurped the DOJ authority by clearing HRC of any charges in the email scandal.
In fact in an election season that was as raucous as any in memory, July 2016 might have been one for the ages, having seen the seeming culmination of the HRC scandal, with DOJ Lynch recusing herself, the FBI finally interviewing HRC about it-with trusty aids-in particular her lawyer-Cheryl Mills-who was as much a suspect as HRC-allowed to be by her side in a joint interview of suspects who were not treated as such in any classic sense of the word. Later that month-16 July 2016-the intelligence community-CIA Director John Brennan-would get word through reportedly Russian intelligence channels that HRC had approved a campaign strategy to paint-and thereby taint Trump-as benefitting from Russian operations in the election undertaken to undermine the HRC campaign: under the guise that the Russians-incredibly-favored Trump.
Brennan would brief this information to Obama on or about 26 July 2016-doubtlessly with DNI Clapper present and the WH NSA-CofS-the usual suspects-with Obama giving direction or guidance to do an Intelligence Community (IC) referral to the FBI regarding this turn of events.
It would take the IC until 5 September 2016 for this guidance to be carried out-nearly 6 weeks in the midst of a campaign season where bombshells were seemingly dropping daily, a scant 2 days after email traffic between FBI’s Peter Sztrok and Lisa Page indicated that Page was working on a detailed summary for FBI leadership on everything the FBI was doing in regard to the HRC campaign: because “POTUS” wanted to know everything the FBI was doing.
In that critical-in hindsight-six weeks, Brennan managed to brief Dirty Harry Reid 26 August 2016 on the opposite message that was pending release from the IC in the form of the Investigative Referral on the HRC campaign strategy. Briefing Reid that the Trump campaign was cozying up to and soliciting Russian help, interference and colluding with them to undermine HRC. Reid responded near immediately (28 August 2016) with a request to the FBI to investigate the matter.
Today it doesn’t even seem odd or puzzling that Brennan briefed Reid on the opposite of the message that was emerging from the IC Investigative Referral a scant week later. Nor that Comey in later testimony to congress declared he did not recall the referral-that it was not “memorable” to him. And of course, at nearly the same time-although coming to a head sometime later in September 2016, Senator McCain would get wind of this brewing tale of Trump collusion and the Wiener laptop would become a thing-although it would take nearly a month for the FBI to follow-up the Southern District of New York attempt to hand over the laptop in furtherance of the HRC email scandal.
Much of this is known and appeared to be like so much bobbing in the water as it played out, seemingly unrelated and innocuous events going on in the background as government business does. This article based on a book written on the subject gives a sense of the anguish Obama experienced when it became clear to him that his worst nightmare was coming true: Trump had a chance to beat HRC. There was a famous conversation reported between Obama and Rhodes flying to or from somewhere when word came that HRC would like Obama to join her on the campaign trail. When Obama discovered she needed him to cover Pennsylvania for her, that was likely the moment it became clear that things were not going as bad as they thought: they were going worse.
The mostly behind the scenes work of the Regime Change Band shifted into a higher gear at this point driven by desperation.
