US, Allies Fly Fighter Jets Amid North Korea Tensions

I guess the ole saying is true “when it rains it pours”. Russia seems to be at the front of the line when it should really be China to watch.

China is an opportunist when it comes to its use of distractions. China has long threatened to make a move against Taiwan.

We need to be vigilant in China. If China were to attack Taiwan, the United States and its allies would have to help defend Taiwan which would be an entirely different situation than Russia invading Ukraine. With everything going on with Russia, Ukraine, and China, North Korea is seeking more attention.

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman traveled to SEOUL for discussions with South Korea and Japanese officials over the gathering North Korean threat and warned of a swift and forceful counter-response if the North proceeds with a nuclear test explosion, which would be its first in nearly five years.

The South Koreans have been warning about the potential consequences of an aggressive reaction should North Korea follow through on the planned first nuclear test explosion. The U.S. and its Asian allies flew dozens of fighter jets over waters surrounding the Korean Peninsula on

Tuesday in a show of force as their diplomats discussed a coordinated response to an eventual North Korean nuclear test.

Expanding on joint displays of the nation’s military power, four U.S. F-16 fighters flew in formation with 16 South Korean jets — including stealthy F-35As — over waters off the east coast of South Korea, in a drill designed to show the ability to quickly respond to North Korean provocations, the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said.

South Korea and the United States flew fighter jets in formation over South Korea’s western sea Tuesday in a show of force amid signs that a North Korean nuclear test explosion could be imminent.

The flight came as U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman traveled to Seoul for discussions with South Korea and Japanese allies over the gathering North Korean threat and warned of a “swift and forceful” response if the North proceeds with a nuclear test, which would be it’s first in nearly five years.

If stagged, the test would possibly mark another leap forward in North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s goals to build an arsenal that could viably threaten regional U.S. allies and the American homeland. That would escalate a pressure campaign aimed at forcing the United States to accept the idea of the North as a nuclear power and negotiating economic and security concessions from a position of strength.

“Any nuclear test would be in complete violation of U.N. Security Council resolutions. There would be a swift and forceful response to such a test,” Sherman said, following a meeting with South Korea Vice Foreign Minister Cho Hyun-dong. “We continue to urge Pyongyang to cease its destabilizing and provocative activities and choose the path of diplomacy,”   “msn.com

Kim Jong Un’s temper tantrums and his thirst for attention from the United States could have him and his North rule of Korea in serious jeopardy. I can almost guarantee Kim does test a nuclear bomb just to show the United States he does what he wants.

I’m sure China has an eye on him and will not do anything as long as they need him for distractions. China.s President Xi knows risking a war with the United States and its allies would be the beginning of the end of normal life as the Chinese and the United States confront each other in war.

God Bless the United States, God Bless the Veterans
