Are conservatives moving away from Former President Trump as the investigation against him is taking a bad turn for him? We know Fox News is starting to pull away from Trump the closer the mid-term elections get. Fox News has its anchors pushing back on Trump claiming the election was stolen from him. Brian Kilmeade being one of them had this to say:
Fox News host Brian Kilmeade said on air that Donald Trump’s claim that he won Arizona in the 2020 presidential election was an “outright lie,” and that the former president was wasting supporters’ time with bogus election-fraud claims.
On his Fox News Radio show on Monday, Kilmeade took a call from a Trump voter concerned about the former president’s fixation on his groundless claim that the election in 2020 was stolen from him as a result of a vast plot by his political foes. “businessinsider.com“
A conservative group in Wisconsin says they have not found any proof of Trump’s claim of voter fraud. Yet former President Trump keeps claiming the election was stolen from him. Yet there are conservative groups debunking his claim of voter fraud. Wisconsin is standing by its investigation and re-counts.
In its report, the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL) said it found “no evidence of fraudulent ballots or widespread voter fraud.”
“A close review, including a hand count of roughly 20,000 ballots from 20 wards, uncovered no evidence of fraudulent ballots or widespread voter fraud,” the group wrote in its report, published December 7. “Our hand review found that the counts closely matched those reported by the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC). The review found no evidence of fraudulent ballots.” “businessinsider.com“
Maryland Governor Larry Hogan (R) said on Sunday that conservatives are slowly moving away from Former President Trump, it’s just not happening as fast as it should, but nonetheless, he says they are moving slowly. He is predicting by the time 2024 rolls around Trump will not win the Nomination if he decides to run. Hogan told moderator Chuck Todd on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that Trump’s “influence is diminishing” and that the Republican Party will slowly distance itself from the former president. The Maryland governor, who has long been critical of Trump, also said he no longer feels he is a lone dissenter.
“I’ve been talking about this for years now, and I felt like I was on a lifeboat all by myself. But now we need a bigger boat because more and more people are speaking out every day,” Hogan said. “I said Trump’s influence on the party was going to diminish over time. It hasn’t happened rapidly, but it has diminished dramatically.”
“It’s just taking longer than it should,” he added “msn.com“
Will the GOP pull away from Trump? Governor Ron Desantis could be thinking of jumping into the arena for the nomination of the Republican party for President. Would Desantis have a chance if Trump decides to run again? Desantis has raised Millions of dollars outside of the sunshine state. His name is becoming a conversational piece in conservative circles. His appearances are becoming more and more frequent on Fox News.
DeSantis is up for reelection in Florida this year, and Republican insiders can’t help but note the governor’s high polling numbers and name recognition. Plus, DeSantis could yet challenge Trump in a Republican presidential primary — the Florida governor has made no definitive public comments about a 2024 presidential bid and has not pledged to bow out of one even if Trump decides to have another go at a White House ticket.
I said I would hold my judgment on the investigation of former President Trump until I have seen and heard the facts. I’m still withholding any judgment on Trump, I also said before I liked Desantis more than I like Trump. DeSantis is a go-getter and a strong leader with experience in knowing what we conservatives want. What we want is our country back from the Democrats.

I like DeSantis and Trump, but I’m sticking with who wins the presidential primary, as it should be. Ron DeSantis has plenty more time to continue what needs to be done, by what Trump will do, in 2024.
Brian Kilmeade, Larry Hogan? C’mon! Neither are conservative enough to even talk on the subject. I even like Brian Kilmeade, but he is a little like the movie “Groundhog Day” in his style of reporting the news. Whatever comes flying in front of him, on any given day, is what he reports. Gov. Hogan, I hope, tries his hand in the primary race. He will last as long as it takes to get to commercial break.
Trump seems to still be doubling over his Democrat competition, of the moment. Of course, we never know about the moment after that until someone does another one of those silly polls. My bet is that Trump is doing just fine to the run up to the primary season.
Put it this way. We have another presidential primary season with some good depth, just in case, ‘ya know? Good thing. But Hogan won’t be the depth. He is a back bencher, in British parlance.
