Ukrainians Protest Yanukovych Victory (2010) Americans Protest Biden Victory (2020)

As the January 6th hearings are published for the American public to consume, we can compare and contrast the US Political War with the Ukrainian Political War which preceded the Russian vs. Ukraine War. For those who don’t know, Viktor Yanukovych, Putin’s candidate in the 2010 Ukraine election, was run out of office in 2014. Let us follow the timeline and see if any of this sounds familiar.

2004 After a run-off, Yanukovych is declared the winner, beating former Prime Minister Viktor Yushchenko. But electoral fraud and voter intimidation led to widespread protests. Kyiv’s Independence Squared was occupied and the protests became known as the Orange Revolution. Ukrainian Supreme Court nullified the election and ordered a second run-off. Yushchenko won and Yanukovych became the Prime Minister. Putin made a strong objection, stating the protests and run-off were influenced by the CIA.

2010 Yanukovych wins the Presidency and a six year term. But when Yanukovych rejects the European Union and accepts closer ties to Russia, civilian protests begin.

2014 By January, the clashes with Police in the Capitol of Kyiv turn deadly. Unarmed citizens stood up to special police units. Many civilians died. On Feb. 21, Yanukovych flees Kyiv for Crimea. On Feb. 22, the Parliament removed Yanukovych from office and scheduled new elections. Feb. 24, Parliament accused Yanukovych of “mass killing of civilians.”

2015 June 18, Parliament took Yanukovych’s title…he flees to Russia.

2019 Jan. 24, Yanukovych is sentenced in absentia to 13 years in prison for “high treason.” Pro European Union candidate and current President, Vladimir Zelensky is elected.

Squint just a little bit with me and tell me what you see.

In 2016, Donald Trump wins a close election…an election no one thought he could win. The political divide in the country is well known, i.e. “fly over states” vs. “coastal elites.” Accept in 2016, several democratic strong holds (MI, WI and PA) went for Trump. The DNC is shocked! But they all put on a good face, wear the symbolic PURPLE at the Hillary Clinton Concession and promise to give Trump “a chance to govern.” Accept that did not last too long. Right? Because right away, the Democrats in Congress accused Trump of collusion with Putin. How else could a socio path like Donald Trump win the White House! Only widespread electoral fraud and voter manipulation could cause such an OUTRAGEOUS RESULT! Sounds a whole lot like the Orange Revolution protestors in Independence Square in Kyiv.

Before we get much further in the compare and contrast conversation, let us explore the origins of the institutions in question.

FBI Founded in 1908, the FBI was formed to help the government combat complex crimes. Big business was consolidating power and unions were forming to preserve worker’s rights. All of these business/labor disputes would cross state lines. The widespread use of automobiles would put cross border bandits like Bonnie and Clyde on the front page of newspapers. European anarchists would become a problem. But funding for the FBI really kicked into high gear when Prohibition outlawed alcohol consumption. On Jan. 17, 1920, 1,520 new agents were deployed to enforce the 18th Amendment. Over the next 13 years of Prohibition enforcement, the ranks of the FBI would grow significantly. During the post WWII “Red Scare” period, the FBI grew again. After the 9/11 attacks, the FBI would send agents all over the world tracking terror cells. Today, the FBI has 80 agents that monitor what they consider to be “misinformation” disseminated by regular folks like you and me.

CIA Founded in 1947 as part of the National Security Act. Proposed by President Truman in July of 1947, and signed into law in September, when Congress returned from their Summer Recess, the National Security Act established the Department of Defense as a permanent Department of War, the Air Force as a stand-alone military branch, the National Security Administration as a domestic surveillance agency and the Central Intelligence Agency as an international surveillance agency. The CIA has assets in every US embassy in the world, recruiting local residents to gather important intelligence about the activities of local governments and power brokers. In the 1950’s the CIA deployed “active agents” to conduct clandestine operations all around the world. Democratically elected leaders were eliminated, and countries grew wary of US engagement.

In 1960, newly elected US President John F. Kennedy openly complained to staffers about the CIA exceeding their mandate. Following the failed invasion of Cuba at the Bay of Pigs, Kennedy fired long time CIA Director Allen Dulles. When Kennedy was murdered in Dallas, ex-President Harry Truman wrote an Op-Ed in his local paper. In Independence, MO, Truman also stated the CIA has exceeded their mandate and called for reform. The Op Ed was picked up by the Washington Post. Once published by the Post, the Op-Ed was redistributed throughout the United States. Alarmed by the “reach” of an ex-President, Allen Dulles traveled to Truman’s home and asked Harry to redact his Op-Ed. Truman refused.

By the 1970’s Congress stepped in. The Senate’s “Church Commission” conducted hearings and revealed “dark truths” about the CIA. After WWII, the US Military, US Defense contractors and the CIA welcomed ex-Nazi’s into the ranks. Allen Dulles, the first director of the Office of Special Services (OSS) imported 6,000 Nazis to create our very own “Military Industrial Complex.” From 1975 through 1976, the “exotic fruits” of Operation Paper Clip …went on display.

Senator Frank Church displays a gun that shoots a frozen dart into a human. The dart travels to the heart and causes a massive heart attack. After the death, the dart dissolves quickly. The autopsy reveals “death by natural causes.” Stop me if any of this is revelatory. All of these data points compel the reader to ask a few questions.

  1. After Truman’s Op Ed, a law was passed to provide life-time healthcare, a full-time pension, and a full time Secret Service detail to ex-Presidents. Why? Why would Congress and the executive branch be “nervous” about what an ex-President might say?
  2. Under whose authority did Allen Dulles travel to Independence and ask Truman for a redaction?
  3. How did a man Kennedy fire (Allen Dulles) become the Director of Investigations for the Warren Commission, the Presidentially appointed task force that would determine who murdered John F. Kennedy in Dallas?
  4. Perhaps the biggest question of all, what world events precipitated the National Security Act of 1947 and the largest increase in the U.S. Federal Government since World War II?

Did the Russians detonate a nuclear weapon? Nope. That did not happen until August 29, 1949…two years after Truman proposed and Congress signed the NSA of 1947. Oh wait a minute! July 1947….July 1947…(right here I’m scratching my chin). Well, the only big news story in July 1947 was all that hullabaloo in Roswell, New Mexico.

A local reporter interviewed a resident. The well-known Rancher said he found “strange debris” on his property North of Roswell. He described the debris to a reporter who published the story. With the story already published throughout the state, the local US Army Air Corps General confirmed the story and published a press release which said the “saucer” and “inhabitants” were safe and secure on his military installation. Then two days later, another Press Release came out stating the Rancher, Reporter and General had mistaken a crashed weather balloon for something no one on planet Earth had seen before. That press release was authored by the Office of Special Services (aka Allen Dulles).

Now did Dulles want to keep secret what was found on the Ranch in Roswell? During WWII, as the Director of the OSS out of Bern, Switzerland, keeping secrets was Dulles’ job. Dulles directed and funded espionage in Nazi occupied Europe. To confuse Hitler, Dulles’ made the truth look like a lie, and a lie look like the truth. Which may be why Dulles was on-boarded for the Warren Commission, but I digress.

So while the FBI came into its funding and mission over several decades, was the CIA tasked with combating an immediate threat? Don’t know. Maybe some day we will have another “Church Commission” convened to dispel all the “misinformation” we have been fed since the Manhattan Project. Back to today’s subject:

To combat Putin, did the CIA coordinate and help fund the Orange Revolution protestors in Kyiv?

Did the FSB (Russia’s CIA) help Yanukovych win the original run-off election?

Did the FBI influence the 2020 US election by suppressing evidence that implicates Joe Biden in a wide-spread and prolonged influence peddling campaign, dating back to his days as Obama’s Vice President?

How many of us are fair minded enough to answer YES, YES and YES to all three questions?

So, what is worse, the FSB influencing Ukrainian voters in 2010 or the FBI influencing US voters in 2020? That one is easy.

Putin and the FSB will act in their own self-interest…every time.

But the FBI is supposed to act in our self-interest…every time.

Fourteen whistle blowers from the FBI have approached Jim Jordan of the House Judiciary Committee. The evidence grows that FBI leadership has weaponized the Bureau against a sitting President, an ex-President and a GOP candidate for President.

You, me, we… may have your own beef with Donald Trump. But if the FBI can bring manpower and money against a political candidate or party, that is BAD…every time.

Keep the faith and BE GOOD!

  1. And to make all that worse, all we know is based on what the CIA and the FBI told us about the KGB, Russia, Ukraine and whatever else there was to say about them.
The misinformation is so deep and broad that it’s a wonder anyone can believe any of it, except through all the repetition through the media.

The revelations we learned about the way Twitter and Facebook was set up for misinformation for the government makes me wonder why we haven’t been sent to the gulags by now. It’s not like all this happened overnight, and much of the lessons the CIA and FBI learned was from the lessons our enemies taught them, to use against us.

That’s enough to justify the end of both agencies, and a few more.
Putin is no saint, by a stretch, but I will never be able to trust our intelligence services, ever. Both are just the leaders of the Swamp, as far as I’m concerned.

    • Mark,
Since it’s inception, the CIA has had a public mission, (international intel gathering) and a private mission, (destabilize our enemies). If a CIA “wet team” conducts operations that the Marines must clean up, isn’t the CIA operating to
      1. justify their existence?
      2. maintain their budget?
      3. keep the world on edge?
      4. so American Arms dealers continue to get rich in war time or peace?

If you consider the Church Hearings important, then you should read “Unspeakable.” After reading it, you may believe that the CIA runs our government and therefore is the actual leader of the “Free World.”

Today’s FBI works forever hired them. If it was Obama, now they work for the Democratic Party. That is not real complicated. It saddens me that our country had to go ALL THE WAY to A DONALD TRUMP, to get someone in office to survive and condemn the “Washington Swam.” But Trump did little. In fact, his DC hotel made a killing. Which will forever DISCOUNT anything Trump did do.

When will we find a leader like Eisenhower again?

With a public declaration, he warned us about the risks of a permanent defense department. 63 years later, every one of his concerns have been realized. That said, IKE has TWO private meetings with JFK. No staffers from either side. What was said has NEVER BEEN REVEALED. IF IKE warned us about the Military Industrial Complex, what did he warn JFK about? Did such a warning get JFK killed?

That is a much bigger story…one that will be told one day.

      Robert
