Trump Gets Another Scalp-Joe Kent-And Motivates The Supporting Lemmings To Rush To The Cliff Edge To Enjoy The View And Take The Leap

Nobody Can Deny The Superpower Trump Has To Inspire People To Show Their True Selves, But Mostly Their Donkeys

The recent self-aggrandizing actions and case of the former National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC) lead Joe Kent has reaffirmed a super power that President Trump has that is often underestimated, underrated and frequently misunderstood.

Besides being able to relate to average Americans of all stripes and status, Trump has an uncanny ability to inspire people to out themselves-to just lame up and show their arses-with minimal prompting.

In the case of Joe Kent-a sympathetic figure given his military service and the fact that his first wife was killed by terrorists on a Navy deployment overseas to Syria-he willingly stepped up to be the poster child for any and all angst against Trump with perfect timing to start a news cycle leading to the mid-terms supporting the desired LSMBTGA narrative from a true disgruntled MAGA former supporter: the headlines write themselves.

The only somewhat inconvenient aspect of this glorious and perfect happenstance from the standpoint of the LSMBTGA and the counter-Trump Grift Club is that for months now Kent has reportedly been sidelined from his position of authority at the helm of the NCTC by a lack of clearance and/or access that reportedly precluded him from participating in the activity of the center and-in fact-likely curtailed him from access to any classified information. That would include the latest round of Iran operations by the US government.

If these reports are substantiated, Kent-by his alleged actions-basically took himself out of play by leaking information during a critical time from a counterintelligence standpoint during an all-hands-on deck full alert period. Which is 180 out from what his military service indicates he would do in such a situation.

He wrote an embarrassing, politically tainted, somewhat sensationalist resignation letter to President Trump that should have been sent to his boss-DNI Gabbard-who he owed a bit more to for taking him on as her Chief of Staff and engaging her team in helping shepherd him through the nomination process to become the head of NCTC.

I’m sorry and sad to say that it showed extremely poor judgement, exposed his true character, was a crappy, undignified, ungrateful politically tainted act that reflects badly on him.

I mean, if you feel this strongly about it-by all means resign: that is the honorable thing to do. Tender your resignation and walk away. This democrat, leftist talking point that Israel forced the US into attacking Iran or Iraq or whatever the below means-has been debunked in about every way possible since it first surfaced when the LSMBTGA spun Marco Rubio’s words so badly he had to clarify what “no” means, wasting another presser opportunity to explain it to the dimwits: and he is still explaining it.

This is somewhat the key portion of his embarrassing resignation letter: “As a veteran who deployed to combat 11 times and as a Gold Star husband who lost my beloved wife, Shannon, in a war manufactured by Israel, I cannot support sending the next generation off to fight and die in a war that serves no benefit to the American people nor justifies the cost of American lives.”

A war manufactured by Israel: What is he talking about? The letter stands by itself. It is a slap in the face to all who invested extraordinary time in shepherding Kent to be DNI Chief of Staff in the first place, never mind head of NCTC, an absolute Tier 1, important post in the intelligence community that coordinates counterterrorism policy actions. While he had the requisite military experience and obviously the combat time, NCTC is one of the most important missions in an IC that is focused on foreign threats.

One of the strange emerging facts of this story is that Kent seemed to be on a personal-and 100% misguided-self-appointed mission to get to the bottom of the Charlie Kirk assassination fueled by his apparent belief of Israel involvement by coordinating with the FBI-as if he had a law enforcement mission-to get any and all information on the case.

Apparently slow times at the NCTC these days: A man has to have hobbies.

What makes it doubly strange is that-without any apparent evidence except basic hearsay-that comes from his insinuations offered without evidence-he’s winky, winky insinuating that Israel had something to do with the assassination, in spite of the ongoing trial and a robust FBI investigation into the case.

Much like his gratuitous reference to Israel in his resignation letter: Israel manufactured-what, the Iraq War? Our presence in Syria? Was behind the Kirk assassination “somehow?”

In a plethora of interviews he’s pursued since his resignation, Kent has basically offered no evidence whatsoever to back up his insinuation that Israel is behind these actions. He deflected questions to be more specific about what he is saying by using the conspiratorial cliché that “it’s a data point,” hiding behind apparent hidden knowledge that he had access to before he resigned.

To be fair, Kent has denied any wrongdoing-leaking-and also any knowledge about an investigation: which seems odd given the facts that have been in the media about the issue, although the information is admittedly thin-here, here, here, here. This is largely circular reporting, but it would not surprise that-if there is an investigation-that it would be handled somewhat low-key, under the radar or waterline in deference to Kent’s military service and some grace in light of his wife’s murder, as well as consideration of the government officials who basically put their trust in him and did him a solid in escorting him to successive very high posts in the IC that you or I would not be able to just blithely glide into from relative IC anonymity.

Also-to protect him in the event that it proves untrue. But-you know-it’s a data point, and therefore apparently fair game in the world of Joe Kent!

Which-handling things low-key-went out the window with his grandstanding act of skipping his boss and writing a newsworthy sensationalist resignation letter to the president that was bound to be noticed and celebrated by the LSMBTGA: and his actions since ensured that it was.

If you act like a princess, you get treated like one.

Dan Bongino has taken issue with and exposed this narrative by Kent that has caught a number of folks in the drive-by, including Tucker Carlson, Candice Owens, the Flynn’s (Mike and son,) Stan McChrystal and others who are seemingly leveraging their MAGA bona fides to hang around with folks like Max Boot, and Max Blumenthal: talk about strange company for supposed MAGA supporters.

Kent entered civil service at an unusually high level: he was definitely done a solid in this matter. There was a time period where I was considering the job of Chief of Staff to DNI Clapper at USDI and later DNI, but it is not my cup of tea-I was doing important jobs that I liked-and I still had a case of the hurt butt over some funding actions Clapper took on a program of mine in which he gave away program dollars without any discussion with me-the program manager-to acquisition dullards that couldn’t reach the pedals: still butt hurt about it to this day. The job would have been great from a career advancement standpoint, but I never took a job based on that criteria-in fact, I only put in for two jobs in four decades-every other position I filled was at the behest of my bosses.

Regarding any such potential investigations, most of us-and I personally-would be righteously indignant about it if I was being slandered about leaking and there was nothing to it. But he seems oddly equanimous about the matter considering that his ethics and honesty are being openly questioned. That is somewhat of a bright red line for most military and civil servants.

A military or Senior Executive Service (SES) or Senior Intelligence Service (SIS CIA)) officer who is challenged on ethics or honesty has every right to be postally nucleatic, with a case of the huge red arse. The mere insinuation represents fighting words.

Kent served this country more than ably as an Army Ranger and Special Forces career Warrant Officer with a remarkable number of deployments and a sterling record. His wife was killed along with three other Americans in a terrorist IED attack in Syria. He has every right as an American to his opinions about foreign wars and the never-ending propensity for the US to get involved in quagmires in this century.

Everybody is innocent until they are proven guilty, but his, “it’s a data point” continued insinuations are hefting a lot of weight for his story and it is fair play to consider his alleged leaking with the same seriousness.

What you are not entitled to-what is singly unusual-is for an SES or SIS executive in the US government to grandstand and express political opinions publicly on policy that are out of step with your boss: that would be Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

A modicum of class would dictate that-just like in the military-if you disagree with policy or feel like you have been given an unlawful or illegal order or presented with a mission that you simply can’t in good conscious abide by, you owe it to your oath of office and the officials that placed their faith in you by putting you in a position of responsibility, to make your case, say your piece, abide by the process and if it turns out you are wrong or you disagree with the results strongly enough, you turn in your badge and you hit the bricks.

You don’t go away mad, bitter, or by grandstanding with some ridiculous letter that bypasses your boss to the president: totally unprofessional. One wonders if Kent was influenced by any recent democrat scurrilous congress videos?

What Kent did was take the low road, in a very political, public display that disgraced his service and embarrassed his boss-who had to go to bat for him to take him on as her Chief of Staff and support his efforts to attain the nominative position to be the head of the NCTC, a very important post that is typically filled by career intelligence officials of deep expertise.

Kent apparently served a three-month stint as DNI Chief of Staff, followed by about seven months as NCTC head: most civil servants hired into government are on probation-serve a period of a minimum of one year-particularly those new SES or SIS. Almost every government civil servant serves an initial probation period of one year.

That is quite the “thanks for your support” response, bony middle finger to both DNI Gabbard as well as President Trump represented by his resignation letter. Not to mention those who helped support his political campaign when he ran for congress.

Also significant is the timing, a critical point in the scheme of things with NCTC having to break-in a new director.

Kent would not be the first political appointee who found themselves in over their head in a nominated position who found a way out before reality became undeniable and actions had to be taken to work around the problem: him.

Kent has expressed very strong beliefs about the Iraq War-Desert Storm and the aftermath that are mainline conspiracy theory, democrat leftist talking points which would seem to be perforce disqualifying by themselves. Dan Bongino (he’s back) has taken up the town-crier duty to expose these folks mentioned above, which I will touch upon in Part 2.
