Have Media Safe Spaces Helped the Democrat Party?

Cackles Harris has unceremoniously pushed Gropy Joe into unwanted retirement, and the MSM is celebrating the dawn of a new day for their beloved party. The alphabet soup media personalities have closed ranks, and are providing “their gal” with the safe space of a question-free media bubble. But has the Democrat party really emerged from the Biden debacle stronger? Or is the Harris/Walz ticket evidence that the party’s political muscles continue to atrophy?

Philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche said: “Out of life’s school of war—what doesn’t kill me, makes me stronger.” The inverse corollary is that protection from the adversities of life, makes one weaker. A lion cub raised in a zoo can never be returned to the wild. The protective bubble of the zoo has shielded it from the harsh training of reality and it no longer has the skills to survive unprotected.

Evolution posits that the hardships of nature cull the weak so that the strong become more broadly represented in the population. But what happens to a political party if it is shielded from adversity? Its political skills weaken until Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are the best it has to offer. The MSM has created a crisis of competence for the Democrats by helping individuals, at the expense of the party.

The MSM protective bubble has shielded the Democrat party from nature’s testing, and now the party can no longer offer a candidate capable of

  • Formulating sound policies,
  • Articulating ideas to the voters,
  • Rallying support for their agenda, or
  • Marshaling resources for execution.

One need only observe the downward spiral of Democrat presidential candidates to realize that protection from adversity has not strengthened its bench.

In 2000, Al Gore was their best. He was a “one trick pony,” whose big idea was to use the government to control the weather. Two decades after his run for the presidency, the Dems still don’t understand how absurd that sounds.

In 2004, John Kerry “reported for duty.” He never missed an opportunity to undermine America … even while we were engaged in a war on two fronts. Asking post 9/11 Americans for their vote, while coddling the world’s terrorists showed little political acumen.

In 2008, Barack Obama promised to “fundamentally change America,” and the MSM never asked what that meant. He set us on the path to become the banana republic which we are today. Obama was an expert at self-promotion, but cost his party over 1,000 elected positions nationwide, and helped create the weak bench which the party suffers from now.

2016 gave us candidate Hillary Clinton. She created a charitable foundation whose only charity is the Clinton family, undermined our national security, and set a high-water mark for unlikability – even calling her fellow Americans “deplorables.” Her political skills were so finely honed that she thought she could win the Presidency without campaigning in the swing states.

Joe Biden is … well, Joe Biden – enough said.

Kamala Harris is now the party’s best offering. She helped turn San Francisco into a hellhole, can’t string 3 sentences into a coherent paragraph, and may even be more unlikeable than Hillary Clinton.

Over the Biden/Harris horizon, the future of the party looks like Tim Walz – the man the party has deemed it’s second most qualified to lead America. He turned Minneapolis into San Fransisco with arctic winters. Walz is another whose flaws were hidden by the press. It didn’t make him stronger, but it did delude the party into thinking that

  • Stealing the valor of combat vets, wouldn’t lose the votes of those who have served,
  • Making Minnesota a “gender sanctuary” wouldn’t lose the votes of parents,
  • Inviting illegal aliens into the state wouldn’t lose the votes of blue-collar workers, and
  • Defunding the police wouldn’t lose the votes of law-and-order voters?

In the world of the blind, a one-eyed man is king. In the party of snowflakes, a failure in uniform looks like the hero America needs.

The party only considers Harris and Walz viable because it has been so shielded from adversity, that it no longer realizes that avoiding challenges, does not solve them. The bubble created a party which is populated by the weak and the weaker; and can no longer survive outside the zoo.

The Dems may manage to harvest enough cemetery votes to drag Kamala across the finish line in November. But that doesn’t change the reality that the party has been withering for decades because the MSM zookeepers protect it from vetting, debate, and accountability. The Harris/Walz ticket proves the inverse to Nietzsche’s law.

How long can a party in decline remain viable through trickery and deception? That will depend on the effectiveness of the propaganda, the wisdom of the electorate, and our determination to remain self-governed.
