Israel’s rejoicing
This series is a condensed recap of the events God planned and promised through the prophets. As part of the narrative of the Gog and Magog event, God gives a specific time frame for this particular step of His march of glory: seven years. The years when Israel burns the fuel that the attacking armies of Gog and Magog had amassed on it old borders. So, what happens during this timed hiatus?
After an early chest-beating, rueful sorrowing, the Hebrews will experience joy like never before. It is the time of their new beginning, of re-building. The Israelis will expand their borders to the full territory God has granted them; no one alive will think of opposing them. There, they will rebuild the destroyed cities (think of Syria, and other places).
They will bury the dead of the war of Gog and Magog—none of them Israeli. This will be the “closure on the past” step. All the threats, unpleasantness and precariousness of their past will be buried forever.
They will get to know the Jesus Messiah they had finally embraced before being moved to their land. The Messianic Jews of our times, who had believed without seen, will be there amongst them teaching them all about Jesus. As predicted by Jesus, these Christians will bring out the good of the old and the good of the new to their brethren. There will be deep rejoicing in every Hebrew heart as this happens.
…And there will be precious rejoicing in God’s own heart. He has patiently waited a very long time for this to happen. He will show his joy by giving Israel bumper crops and many other blessings. He will have indeed harvested His ancient people; it will be time to celebrate.
Since every rebel Hebrew who turned down Jesus will have been killed before Exodus 2.0 began in earnest, every living Hebrew is now secure in Jesus-Messiah’s hand. There will never be a time of testing for them—why would there be? They are now His.
When this phase of God’s march of glory is completed, God will usher them all into a God provided, God protected desert haven. They will bypass all the unpleasantness that will ensue for the Gentile humanity. The tribulations are not for the Hebrews.
As I write this, I want to throw my hat in the air and whoop it up! God’s beloved Hebrews have reached their true identity.
As often in the history of the scripture, when God takes care of His chosen people, He extends collateral benefits to the rest of humanity—in this case, the Gentile in every other country. We will delve into the Gentile world in the next installment. The Gentiles are one full step behind. Some thresholds have yet to be reached in their progression.
