1) Wars, just like in sports, are not won by having a good defense. If the West’s proxy (Ukraine) settles for a truce that surrenders territory already conquered, what will be Russia’s incentive not to invade other countries (ditto the West’s proxy, Israel, in its war with Islam)?
2) When cassettes were king (early ‘80s), Memorex ran a TV commercial showing a tape player, a wine glass and an opera singer hitting a high note. The glass shatters and the tag line reads: “Is it real or is it Memorex?” Today, any statement by a news commentator, political party/person or government agency can be a Memorex moment…is it real or is it photoshopped, AI, fake news?
3) Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is so intelligent, powerful and uncontrollable the fear is it will cause the end of civilization. But if AGI is so smart, wouldn’t it be smart enough to know it is committing suicide inasmuch as it needs humans to maintain the electric power grid it needs to survive?
4) Is it the liberals or the conservatives who are city-burning rioters, spewers of un-American vitriol on social media, disrupters of university free speech and champions of illegal immigrants?
