The Left says words are violence. Except, of course, when the words come from the Left. Jay Jones, the Virginia Democrat candidate for Attorney General texted about shooting a Republican, Todd Gilbert, and his wife and children to death. Murdering a family for the parents’ politics. Democrats defend those words as just a bad joke or try to establish moral equivalence with their Trump outrage de jour. The “same as ‘ism” doesn’t work. There’s no moral equivalence. Democrats sow the seeds of political violence.
All humans sin first by thought, then by words, and finally by action. Today’s Democrats, being the Human Secularist Totalitarians by ideology and Cultural Marxists as their branding, are heading in the direction of all Totalitarians and Marxists. They are moving towards political murder.
The assassination of Charlie Kirk was a political assassination. The shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise, the attack on Sen. Rand Paul, the Antifa violence against Federal officers and ICE agents are all political violence. Political violence is here. It may still be in the early stages, but the threshold has been crossed.
Yet, the extraordinary, callous disregard for life in Jay Jones’ texts expose more of the true nature of Democrats who are wed to Totalitarianism and Marxism.
Jay Jones, the former Virginia Delegate wrote, “Only when people feel pain personally do they move on policy.” So, trash the inherent compromise expected in government, especially in legislative bodies.
And texting further, “Three people, two bullets. Gilbert, hitler, and pol pot. Gilbert gets two bullets to the head. Spoiler: put Gilbert in the crew with the two worst people you know and he receives both bullets every time”
Some joke, huh?
Disregard the sinister Orwellian concept of “hate speech” and just look at the expression of wishing violent death on others. Even in an obscenity masquerading as jesting, that is close to the Class 6 felony in Virginia of communicating a threat. Look it up in the Code of Virginia.
Regardless of Jones’ criminality, his written words make him ineligible for public office in Virginia or anywhere else in the U.S. Advocating political violence in America is the inexcusable, not redeemable, unforgiveable, unacceptable disqualification for public office.
It’s quite different from encouraging and leading self-defense AFTER political violence becomes a clear and present danger.
Every decent Virginian and American should demand that Jones step down from his race. He should withdraw from the election. The fact that no Virginia or national Democrat demands such explicitly measures their lack of decency. And their absolute devotion to political power. For any extremist on their side.
This a George Floyd moment of political and moral clarity for all public persons – including all Christian ministers. If you don’t condemn speech advocating political violence without adding any qualifiers, rejoinders, excuses, moral equivalency against opponents, or politics as usual shoulder shrugging, then you are a guilty co-conspirator for political violence.
Moreover, you are morally bankrupt if you don’t see political violence as the inviolable red line in U.S. political speech. You are a first order coward if you won’t demand full accountability for a provocateur from your own party.
Since the French Revolution, every branch of Human Secular Totalitarianism becomes politically violent. The Cultural Marxists who beclown themselves as “Democrat Socialists” show how they truly wish their opponents dead. That threat doesn’t go unnoticed.
Sowing political violence always reaps tragic whirlwinds.
