Al Gore must have landed his private fuel guzzling jet when he heard this: the 2009 war on CO2 is finished. And just like that Al, the decades old purveyor of climate doom, put down his autographed copy of Silent Spring and wept. Not for the climate but for seeing his relevance as a “climate expert” dissipate as quickly as a blast of bovine flatulence. No more COP, no more Davos, no more movies of polar bears waving goodbye as they sink beneath the ice. The Obama “endangerment finding” of the detrimental effect of greenhouse gasses creating climate hysteria and thousands of regulations was history. (BTW, this “finding” bypassed the CLEAN AIR ACT as well as Congress.) But let’s see what else happened.
The Republican House aided by one Democrat passed the SAVE ACT—the requirement to show a photo ID in an election. But the Democrat Senate, ruled by a man who never held a private sector job, is determined to shoot it down. As I noted last letter, PEW Research notes that 83% of Americans favor it and I guess the 17% that don’t never heard of it. To enlighten the naysayers ID is required for: alcohol purchase, airline travel, rental car, Social Security, gun purchase, marriage, hunting/fishing licenses, medications, donating blood, etc, et al. But the Democrats say this is impossible for some people to obtain. I’m shaking my head.
3 snippets. 1. Epstein files. After 4 years of sitting on them the Democrats went into a high-pitched version of Werewolf of London for their release. And from Goldman-Sachs employees to Britain’s Royal Family, the fallout begins. 2. Champion of Coal. Feb 12, POTUS signed an EO directing the War Department to purchase coal power. I guess when the windmills and solar panels failed, coal didn’t. As a result ,“green energy” workers are learning to code. Finally, 3. The Ninth Circuit found that “Temporary Protected Status” means…wait for it… temporary. As a result, many people whom we offered a hand-up and who promptly tried to bite it off, will now return to their beloved homeland.
