Noteworthy items ignored by the Democrat media complex
This is the second post of a weekly feature that highlights news and commentary on important geopolitical, cultural, and economic issues that the Democrat-media complex buries because they expose the hypocrisies associated with the continuing Marxist-Democrat narrative. Everything is properly sourced and linked for follow-up reading, whether from legacy media, independent sources, or social media.
Let’s get started.
Massachusetts Democrats Push Permanent Islamic Commission. “Islamification of the US,” as described by analysts of the Muslim Brotherhood and related Islamist networks, refers to a long-term strategic process aimed at gradually transforming American society, institutions, and law to align with Islamic principles, with the ultimate objective of establishing Sharia as the governing framework. The Muslim Brotherhood and affiliated groups pursue this through:
- Building parallel Islamic institutions (mosques, schools, charities, advocacy organizations).
- Increasing Muslim demographic and political influence.
- Promoting the acceptance of Sharia norms in public life, education, finance, and family law.
- Weakening resistance to Islamic governance via cultural, legal, and political pressure.
The latest example – virtually unreported by the legacy media – is the push by Massachusetts Democrats to establish a permanent Islamic commission that would us taxpayer dollars to prioritize the hiring of American Muslims for state government positions. As noted in the article linked below, Bill S.2134, “An Act promoting the civil rights and inclusion of American Muslims in the commonwealth,” would create a “permanent” commission to help recommend Americans who practice Islam for appointed government positions. Kamala Harris in 2028? Despite being trounced after running one of the ineptest presidential campaigns in memory, failed Democrat nominee Kamala Harris has repeatedly left the door open to another bite at the apple in 2028. She has made no secret that she’d abolish the Electoral College and pack the US Supreme Court if she could as a dog whistle to the DSA voters who infest the Democrat Party. Harris has not yet announced another run and has focused publicly on midterm elections, Democratic organizing, and related issues. Speculation continues amid early polling that sometimes shows her as a frontrunner due to name recognition, mixed reactions within the party (including some preference for fresher faces), and her decision not to run for California governor in 2026.
Kamala Harris was/is absolutely THE worst retail politician at the presidential level in American history; she simply has no ability whatsoever to connect with real people. The more her ghost campaign in 2024 allowed her to be exposed to the public during the campaign, the more obvious that fact became.
With those “bona fides,” a lot of Republicans pray she’ll run again! X influencer Libs of TikTok (Chaya Raichik) has her latest mumbo-jumbo covered:
Sophie Cunningham Helps Save Women’s Sports. A person would have to be totally oblivious to not know about the invasion of women’s supports at all levels by transvestites over the past several years. [Note: “transgender” is a biological impossibility, chromosomes being what one inherits when one is born.] The WNBA is loaded with club ownership, coaches, and players who kowtow to the left’s foisting of the supposed “normalcy” of men competing in women’s sports on sane Americans.
The latest incident was Seattle Storm co-owner Celeste Keaton’s public berating of Washington state high school athlete Ahnaleigh Wilson for supporting Indiana Fever’s Sophie Cunningham after Cunningham took a public stand to save girls’ sports. In the eighth grade, Wilson lost a regional championship race to a biological male trans athlete in May 2024, making her public support of Cunningham personal. The lesbian Keaton was subsequently suspended for five games and fined by the league (a wrist-slap).
For a touch of the ultimate irony if not hypocrisy, here is the official statement of the NOW gang: “The National Organization for Women (NOW) has not issued a specific statement regarding Sophie Cunningham because the organization maintains a longstanding policy that transgender women are women and should be included in women’s sports.”
Here are the details on a subject that the pro-LGBTQI+ legacy media (in short, all of them) have buried:
Crackdown on “Gender Therapists.” On a related issue, gender therapists (also called gender-affirming therapists or gender specialists) are mental health professionals—typically licensed psychologists, counselors, social workers, or psychiatrists—who specialize in working with people who experience gender dysphoria or identify as transgender, non-binary, or gender-diverse. These people ostensibly assess and diagnose gender dysphoria, explore a client’s gender identity and related feelings, provide counseling and emotional support, and help with social transition (name/pronouns, clothing, presentation). This cottage industry popped up just within the last few years thanks to pressure by LGBTQI+ activists.
Late last week, the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty secured a permanent order from a U.S. district judge Jane Beckering requiring Michigan to stop enforcing its 2023 law that barred counselors from engaging in talk therapy aimed at helping children struggling with gender dysphoria (e.g., the counselors weren’t allowed to discuss dysphoria in the context of natural sexual maturity over time).
There is more here that once again the leftwing legacy media have buried:
The Best Role Models. During the COVID era (primarily 2020–2022), the people most prominently held up as role models for getting vaccinated and strictly following CDC protocols (masking, social distancing, lockdowns, etc.) included Anthony Fauci, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, Joe and Jill Biden, Democrat governors like Gavin Newsom, and early Andrew Cuomo, Barack and Michelle Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, George W. Bush, Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, and celebrities like Dolly Parton, Olivia Rodrigo, Jennifer Lopez, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Britney Spears, Samuel L. Jackson, etc.
As we have subsequently learned (the hard way), the CDC protocols were bogus, and Fauxi’s search of personal fame while Americans were suffering from those policies were laid bare in his diary and congressional non-testimony last week.
X influencer Liz Churchill has pointed out that the best role model for children during the COVID era were prominent people like NBA all-star Kyrie Irving, NFL QB Aaron Rodgers, and tennis great Novak Djokovic who refused to get the jab and were publicly persecuted for it. Long-held cultural and medial consensuses of personal choice and “it’s my body” were sacrificed on the altar of the COVID god.
Have the legacy media issued apologies to them (and the many others) whom they attacked? Dream on.
What No One Told You about Net Zero. Net zero refers to the state where the amount of greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere is balanced by the amount removed, resulting in no net addition to global warming. This is achieved through a combination of deep emissions reductions across all sectors and the use of carbon dioxide removal technologies or natural sinks to offset residual emissions that cannot be eliminated.
Net zero is a political mechanism to mandate deep, economy-wide reductions in greenhouse gas emissions (primarily CO₂ from fossil fuels) in pursuit of a specific temperature or emissions target that critics call arbitrary and scientifically contestable. The core political purpose is not merely environmental protection but the expansion of centralized control over energy production, industry, transportation, agriculture, and consumption. By requiring governments to enforce rapid decarbonization timelines, net-zero policies justify massive regulatory power over private enterprise and individual behavior, large-scale redirection of capital and subsidies toward favored technologies and industries, international agreements and domestic laws that constrain national energy sovereignty, and a restructuring of markets under the banner of climate necessity. All sold under the banner of “saving the planet.”
Bjorn Lonborg, a Danish political scientist and author who currently serves as the President of the Copenhagen Consensus Center. A long-time climate skeptic (someone who maintains that mainstream concerns about climate change are overstated and that resources should be prioritized for more impactful issues like poverty and disease), he has performed a great public service by producing a Youtube video of his presentation to ARC 2026 (Alliance for Responsible Citizenship) that lays out the “dirty little secret” about net zero in the context of the above. The greenies in the legacy media will not touch this issue with a ten-foot pole.
Tradition Sells Movie Tickets. Woke certainly doesn’t, despite Hollywood’s plunge into woke-themed feature length movies in recent years. There are many woke big screen movies that movie-goers avoided like the plague. The Marvels (2023), Strange World (2022), Lightyear (2022), Snow White (2025 live-action remake), and Supergirl (2026) are among the recent high-profile Hollywood releases that “underperformed significantly” at the box office and were widely criticized (for progressive/”woke” elements such as identity-focused casting and storytelling, explicit LGBTQ inclusion, heavy empowerment messaging, or changes to source material that prioritized modern social themes.
The Odyssey is the latest woke rendition that got smoked by family-friendly Spider Man: Brand New Day, despite the Hollywood hype machine that was running non-stop for months before its release. As noted in the article linked below (and underreported by the legacy media), “For its opening weekend, Spider Man raked in $927 million worldwide – Compare that to The Odyssey’s $264 million global box office for the first weekend.” In fact, adjusted upward later by Sony Pictures, Brand New Day earned $360 million from 4,487 North American screens, setting the all-time record!
The Woke Smithsonian. The Smithsonian Institution is the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, consisting of 21 museums (mostly in Washington, D.C.), the National Zoo, and numerous research and education centers. Founded in 1846 with a bequest from British scientist James Smithson to promote “the increase and diffusion of knowledge,” it preserves nearly 157 million artifacts, specimens, and artworks while conducting research in science, history, art, and culture, with free admission to its museums.
The problem is that the Institution has succumbed to Robert Conquest’s second law of politics: Any organization not explicitly right-wing sooner or later becomes left-wing. On 4 July, White House Domestic Policy Council released a report, “Saving America’s Story: How Ideological Capture at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History Erases Our Heritage,” which documents how the National Museum of American History (NMAH) has abandoned its founding mission to foster “informed and honest patriotism” to advance a Marxist agenda that divides Americans by race, gender, sexuality, immigration status, and nationality. As noted at the linked article below, historian and museum professional Dr. Jody Edward Ginn says the Smithsonian has become “a museum for activism.” Unsurprisingly, the legacy media is completely silent about this travesty!
Poor Palestinian Authority (Not). Since the mid-1990s (following the Oslo Accords and creation of the Palestinian Authority), the United States and other Western donors have provided tens of billions of dollars in assistance to Palestinian institutions and the territories—primarily to the PA rather than directly to the PLO. The U.S. has never given direct aid to the PLO itself (due to longstanding legal prohibitions tied to its prior terrorist designation), but has delivered over $5–6 billion in bilateral economic and nonlethal security assistance since 1994, mostly through USAID projects, NGOs, and limited direct transfers to the PA. Broader Western official development assistance to the Occupied Palestinian Territory (including substantial EU and European national contributions for PA budget support, development, and institutions) is estimated in the $40–50+ billion range overall, with some PA budget allocations also flowing to PLO-related institutions.
That money has bought a cottage industry on US college campuses with “From the River to the Sea” chapters at most major universities these days, not to mention regular pro-Palestinian “protests-on-demand” whenever Gaza/PLO/PA politics requires a good show.
The bill for PLO/PA terrorism as reflected in associated US deaths may finally be coming due. As reported in the linked article below, “Justice Sonia Sotomayor on Monday signed an order rejecting an emergency application from the Palestinian authorities to stop a $656 million judgment in favor of Americans killed or wounded in Israel. The victims were injured or killed in attacks in Jerusalem in the early 2000s that killed 33 people and wounded hundreds.” It’s about damn time! Of course, the legacy media have buried this story, too.
More Maricopa County. In a November 2020 joint statement with government and industry bodies overseeing election security, Chris Krebs, the then-Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), claimed that the 2020 election was “the most secure in American history.” With revelations of election fraud discovered in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, California, and other states since then, that dog won’t hunt anymore. Nobody except commie Democrats and their fellow-travelers still believes that Joe Biden received 81 million legal votes in 2020.
The latest revelation comes from Maricopa County, as the article linked below reported this: “An administration official briefed reporters on the new documents, which show that during the 2020 election, 633,000 voter registration files were obtained through the Maricopa County Registrar Office website. Of those files, 930 contained sensitive voter data, which included information about domestic violence victims, judges, and law enforcement officers.”
The cottage industry of election fraud deniers that sprang up to defend the myth the Biden was legitimately elected in a secure election, particularly in the Associated Press, owe all of us a massive apology for their willful lying in support of the Democrat narrative. Could this revelation be enough to push the SAVE Act past the finish line in the US Senate?
New York City is Officially a Socialist Hellhole. Lastly, New York City, once the American beacon of capitalism to the world, is circling the socialist drain under the idiocracy that is the Zohran Mamdani mayoralty. As reported in the article linked below, “Mamdani has eliminated all the businessmen and various other civic leaders from the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City board of advisers. The Mayor’s Fund is a nonprofit organization that aids public-private initiatives in the city…. [The] organization ‘partners with 50 City agencies and offices, philanthropic organizations and community leaders to invest in the most urgent challenges facing New Yorkers.’”
The Democrat Socialists of America are on the rise, which should come as no surprise because the Democrat Party has been hollowed out from within by so-called “democratic socialists” in the guise of “progressives” for decades. A rose by any other name is still a communist! And the sycophants in the legacy media are cheering them all on (but are whitewashing the ongoing disaster in New York City).
