Donald Trump began using the phrase “enemy of the people” when describing what he frequently called the Fake News media. That phrase has a very long history dating back to the Roman Empire. However, his use of the phrase differed dramatically from standard usage. In the past, dictators would use these words against their political rivals vying for power in an effort to eliminate them. Lenin, Stalin and Hitler used the phrase frequently and successfully to destroy people. Trump used the phrase not to destroy his political rivals but to point out the glaring anti-conservative bias of what I refer to as the formerly mainstream media (FMSM). The liberal Democrat media has more than earned the monikers of Fake News and Enemy of the People for their reporting, before and since Donald J. Trump saddled them with these appropriate titles.
The most recent case in point is the media’s coverage of the Kyle Rittenhouse shootings of August 2020 and his subsequent trial. If you receive your “news” only from sources such as CNNDNC or MSNBCDNC (heaven help you), you would be totally clueless about what actually occurred in Kenosha, Wisconsin on the night of August 25, 2020. Just about every detail and fact of what actually went on that night would be foreign to you. If you have been watching the trial on live TV the past week, you must think you were watching a modern-day version of the Twilight Zone or television version of the Babylon Bee. Nothing would make sense to you. Everything you believed, all that you were force fed, about Kyle and the shooting would have been blown away by the actual evidence and testimony in the trial, even the testimony, or especially the testimony, of the prosecution witnesses.
I am not a big proponent of cameras in the courtroom, but in cases like this one, where the outcome may have national consequences, it may be a good idea. Without those cameras the media could continue to lie to us unchallenged (and they would). With the cameras, the media still lies to us, but we can confirm or refute their reporting with our own eyes and ears.
The liberal Democrat media’s coverage of the Rittenhouse trial has been nothing less than Kafkaesque. All the strange hatred liberals feel towards whites, our country, our founding principles and Trump and his supporters seems to them to be all bizarrely encompassed in the very soul of the 18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse. They cannot hide this hatred and they no longer want to or feel the need to. For them, Rittenhouse embodies what they hate most about conservatism, Mom, apple pie and the good ole US of A, all wrapped up in one baby faced, Nazi. Their every report on the trial drips with this venomously uncontrollable hatred. All reason and facts have gone out the window. Their dystopian, bizarro world is crumbling before our very eyes and there is nothing they can do about it, and that fact just burns them up. They know it, but they refuse to just stand by and let it happen. They will muster their very best inner-Pravda and dish “news” slop for their masses (as small as they are) to gobble up. They think their misreporting will somehow save their Brave New World. It won’t.
Like the FMSM, the prosecutors in this case rushed to judgement. They brought charges against Rittenhouse in just 48 hours. That was way too soon to conduct a thorough investigation. In fact, one of the charges was so erroneous yet stood for over a year until, ironically, it was dismissed the last day of the trial. Rittenhouse was charged with illegally possessing a weapon. It turns out that under Wisconsin law, Rittenhouse was perfectly within the law to open carry a long rifle. The prosecutors, in their blind lust to “get” Rittenhouse at all costs, seem to have disregarded the law. It was almost as if the FMSM was driving the train. Initial and subsequent media reports had Kyle Rittenhouse buying an AR-15 “assault” rifle just for this purpose and illegally crossing state lines with it to hunt down peaceful Black Lives Matter protesters. When the judge dismissed this weapons charge, the prosecutors seemed embarrassed only that they got caught.
Many media reports mentioned that Kyle Rittenhouse is white but failed to mention the race of his attackers, leaving the impression that he shot innocent black folks just protesting for racial justice in the Jacob Blake shooting of another innocent black man. Imagine the shock of the ignorant few when watching the trial of this miscreant, underage KKK, Aryan Nation skinhead, white supremacist murderer when they found out the three “black protesters” he shot were all white? Obviously, just a minor detail. At least the protests were peaceful, right?
Even the trial judge, Bruce Schroeder, has been declared a racist and Trump supporter by the media. He’s a confirmed Trump supporter because his cell phone ringtone is the Lee Greenwood song, “God Bless the USA”, which has been sung and played at Trump rallies. Heaven forfend!! He’s a confirmed racist because he made a joke about “Asian food” during a lunch recess. Oh my! This, during the same time good ole boy President Brandon was having 1940’s Mississippi flashbacks in a Veterans Day speech in which he called baseball pitcher, Satchel Paige, “the great negro”. Had Trump said that, we would have witnessed his third bogus impeachment. Instead, the Fake News media made excuses for Brandon’s antebellum slip up. Video proof doesn’t stop the liars from lying.
The liberal Democrat media declared Rittenhouse guilty of murder during the trial. The media, from the start, labeled Rittenhouse a white supremacist with no evidence. It turns out the FBI confiscated Kyle’s cell phone and found no evidence, Zero, Nada, None, that he had any ties or connections of any kind to any racist, militia groups. Oh well, it sounded good anyway.
It is funny how the media just loves it when illegal aliens cross the international border between the U.S. and Mexico but were fever struck that little Kyle dare cross the border between Illinois and Wisconsin. What the hell does he think he is, a U.S. citizen??!! Of course, they fail to mention that Rittenhouse’s father and other relatives live in Kenosha and he worked in Kenosha as a lifeguard. Who knew? The media, if it were doing its job honestly.
As I write, the jury is finishing up their third day of deliberations. That’s not a good sign for such a cut and dry self-defense case. The anarchist protesters and their Democrat media have had an effect apparently. However this ends up, the FMSM couldn’t be trying harder to look utterly stupid and hypocritical. As much as they cringe at being called Fake News, they have more than earned that nickname. Are they trying to destroy our country with more riots? If so, they are indeed the Enemy of the People.
