On January 13, Kyrsten Sinema gave a speech in the US Senate announcing that she will not support changing the filibuster rules to pass Joe Biden’s voting rights act. She effectively made President Asterisk the lamest of lame ducks, in his first year in office.
The thing is, Joe isn’t particularly good at working with people. Joe Biden, “the uniter,” was always a lie. After calling everyone who disagrees with him a racist in his speech in Atlanta, he’s shocked that everyone isn’t just falling in line. He expects to just order things done. If he can’t ram it through, it doesn’t go through. He learned everything he knows about leadership from Barack Obama. Well, Sinema just told him that there won’t be any ramming this time. Like any spoiled brat, Joe is ticked off – and went looking for a place to conduct a tantrum with a presidential audience.
His venue turned out to be a meeting with Democrat leaders that same afternoon. After the meeting, Biden made an angry statement to the press. He claimed his voting rights act is actually an issue of civil rights. He further implied that anyone not supporting it is a racist. It seems he learned his debating skills from AOC.
Then things got weird. Joseph Biden said:
“If we miss this time and the state legislative bodies continue to change the law not as to who can vote but who gets to count the vote, count the vote, count the vote — it’s about election subversion, not just whether or not people get to vote.”
Well, there you have it. The bill isn’t about who votes. It’s about who counts the votes. Let the meaning of that statement sink in. It’s about election subversion alright. He doesn’t want the people we elect to count the votes counting the votes. He wants the deep state to control the vote counting.
Joseph Biden must have forgotten what Joseph Stalin said:
“Those who vote decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything.”
Slow Joe’s comment was either the most Freudian of Freudian slips, or the most tone-deaf political statement in years – and given the things Cackles Harris says, that’s saying something. Our Plagiarizer in Chief was talking about civil rights, but he was using the words of a tyrant that never cared about anyone’s rights – civil or otherwise. He was showing us his inner dictator and acting like it was a good look for him. I get that the whole dictator schtick may be good for getting Democrat chicks, but for getting voters, not so much.
Biden knows that the bill does not ensure voter integrity. It undermines it – hence giving power to the vote counters. It eliminates voter ID, mandates mail in voting, legalizes ballot harvesting, and allows felons to vote. It creates opacity in a process that demands transparency.
It was a rare moment for Joe. He told the truth. He doesn’t give a crap about the will of the people. He wants to control the counting so we become a democracy in name only.
One of his handlers – maybe Circle-Back Psaki – needs to tell that fool she works for that invoking the words of a brutal dictator isn’t going to get his bill passed. If he wants it passed, he has to sell it to the American public. Maybe he should take sales lessons from Mike Lindell.
