Ridiculed by the Media Ahead of Show’s Debut, Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime Blows the Doors Off the Competition

 

Several weeks ago, Fox News announced that Jesse Watters, co-host of the network’s popular show “The Five” and the now former host of “Watters World,” had been named the permanent host of “Fox News Primetime,” which airs on weekdays at 7 p.m. ET.

The legacy media spent the next two weeks ridiculing Watters and predicting failure for his new show. After all, he’d be up against such media luminaries as CNN’s Erin Burnett and MSNBC’s Joy Reid. Watters wasn’t ready for primetime. 

Despite the sneers from the elite, it looks like Watters had the last laugh. The show’s Monday night debut snared a whopping 3.8 million viewers, according to The Wrap, leaving Burnett and Reid to feel his exhaust.

“Jesse Watters Primetime” got more viewers than ABC’s “The Bachelor.” CNN’s 7 p.m. offering, “Erin Burnett OutFront,” drew 700,000 total average viewers, while MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” netted 1.2 million, giving “Jesse Watters Primetime” a 446% advantage and a 216% advantage over each of them respectively.

“Watters’ debut scored double the viewership for the hour compared to the same day in 2021 and more viewers than every “Fox News Primetime” telecast since the show launched last year with a rotating cast of hosts.

The last time that Fox attracted more viewers in the 7 p.m. timeslot was Jan. 6, 2021, the day of the Capitol riot. The Wrap reported this “included 537,000 in the advertiser-coveted age demographic of 25 to 54.”

Aside from hating all conservatives, the mainstream media despises Waters for exposing them as the liars they are and the harm that they do. 

A segment from his Tuesday night show assures us he plans to continue with this theme. He revealed the media for deliberately misrepresenting Joe Biden to the American people.

Most of you women watching have been on a blind date. You know what it’s like, your friends get you all excited about this mystery guy. They talk him up, tell you is he funny smart handsome and interesting…then you show up. And instead of sitting down for dinner with John Stamos you realize you are eating with Michael Moore…and somewhere in between your salad and steak you realize you have made a terrible mistake.

Now, that’s essentially what happened to America with Joe Biden. The media spent the last few years serving as Biden’s hype man, promising us he’s a moderate, that he’s a great union fighter bring the country back together. Confident and calm. They insisted we were the perfect match because Joe was blue-collar Biden, America always loves a working-class hero. So the media turned Joe into one.

In reality, the blue-collar Biden was never that blue-collar.

The Biden family balance sheet has always been full of questionable details. But the media doesn’t care to look into it because it destroys their narrative. Biden is just a product they sold to beat Trump. And now that product, Joe Biden, is defective, and they are starting to pull him from the shelves.

 

Watters, 43, joined Fox in 2002. He quickly became known for his “man on the street” interviews. He is most definitely smug. He is aggressive. But he is also eternally likable. 

He’s often blunt, particularly when shooting down the narrative of whoever happens to be “The Five’s” token liberal of the day. But he’s also not afraid to make fun of himself. Text messages from his liberal, overbearing Jewish mother have become a humorous part of his schtick. 

“The Five” ends each evening with a segment called “One More Thing.” Watters often reads critical texts she has sent him on the air. ABC News reported a text from 2019 that said, “Please be assured that despite your wretched political orientation I love you forever.”

The liberals on CNN and MSNBC can say what they will about Jesse Watters and about the conservative media in general, but while they are hemorrhaging viewers, the conservative media is thriving.

The American people are tired of being lied to. It’s really that simple.
