Has anyone heard of the black woman tied for the lead in the Pennsylvania US Senate race? Until reading an article about her in another publication, American Thinker, by Dr. Thomas Lifson, I hadn’t really noticed her, but boy did that change. I’m not going to bother re-writing most of the stuff Dr. Lifson covered, but I will hit a highlight or two. His article, as usual, speaks for itself. Go read it. Then, you might agree that she is the one who needs to be winning that primary race, Trump endorsement or not.
Kathy Barnette, a black woman, who has been outspent by over $40 million dollars, so far(she has spent around $137,000), is tied with the frontrunners and could win the primary challenge. Dr. Lifson’s article was about how Wikipedia has decided to get political and help Oz or McCormick, and leave some information about Barnette out of her bio page, on the Wikipedia site.
After listening to a few clips of her in debates, and learning a bit about her history, I think she is the conservative in the race. She’s black, “… been black all her life, Fact check it, she says.” Pro-life. Maybe that has something to do with her being the product of a rape of her mother, when she was eleven years old. When asked about why 87% of blacks vote Democrat, her answer is pretty darned good. “We Republicans have the best story to tell. When picking the right candidate, we just suck at it.” I paraphrased that, but it is close enough, and came out of a primary debate, while McCormick and Oz were at each other’s throats, for whatever reason. She is strong on the 2nd Amendment, too.
Fox News gives her a mention in a clip. Maybe that says more about who they are gunning for. These are the types we need in the Republican Party, and the senate could use some energy, that Kathy Barnette sure could add. Give her a look, and if you live in Pennsylvania, strongly consider voting for her. A black woman, Republican, especially a conservative black woman from Pennsylvania.
I think she’s just pretty awesome.

Wow…. She embodies almost EVERYTHING a Leftist is against!
Wish I could vote for her!🇺🇸
That adds up to an opportunity that I hope Pennsylvania doesn’t throw away. The knives are out for her, though.
The GOPe candidates and also the Great MAGA King have trotted out the question of Ms. Barnette’s electability. Since the young lady in question is not a member of the club, she lacks the credentials the power brokers require of a candidate to be considered worthy of their backing.
I think you’re right. Membership does have its privileges. I don’t know who the best candidate is, but she checks off most of the boxes that would sway my vote to her, if I lived in Pennsylvania.
Trump should fire whoever is advising him on Pennsylvania.
First he endorsed Dr. Oz, when many Republicans favor McCormick, a decorated veteran. Mike Pompeo and Ted Cruz have campaigned for McCormick.
Now he endorsed Mastriano when many Republicans favor Lou Barletta, a strong supporter of Trump who as mayor of Hazelton was one of first to raise the issue of illegal immigration. Rick Santorum, Melissa Hart, and other conservative Pennsylvanians have endorsed Barletta.
Mastroiano did support Trump in the election issue, but he is also responsible for passing the Pa. law that extended mail in voting that caused the issue.
I think he picked Oz because, for a long time, Oz’s picture and name was everywhere. I saw his picture on several magazine covers and other places. It’s like he is everywhere.
I’ll admit that Barnette seemed to come out of nowhere, and the others are in the club, so to speak, but I noticed Cruz and Pompeo endorsing those others, which will make it hard on all of them, including some of Trump’s future endorsements.
Trump has had me confused in his picks before. Seems like sometimes they are dart board throws.
I’m glad I’m not voting in PA. The race is a confusing one. Trump backing Oz is very confusing. Oz is a lib. McCormick seems solid, West Pointer, combat vet, CEO, but he also seems like a potential RINO. I don’t know. Barnette seems to have some issues with the truth – whether she voted for Trump, what her real military record is, when she moved to PA. Anything is better than a DemoKrat but not sure who the best candidate is. Good luck PA voters. Make the right choice.
There is also the curious fact that as recently as two years ago Barnette started a Change.org petition to plonk a statue of Bad Check Barry next to Lincoln’s at the Emancipation Memorial.
The other part of her proposal, one of Frederick Douglass, I could see, but… well, while Barnette seems at first glance to be almost the archetype of our ideal “narrative” in a candidate, the questions that come up once you start looking below the surface remind me of the old saw about when something or someone seems too good to be true. That could just be a reflex about distrusting anyone who relies on charisma and the more I WANT to personally like someone the harder I have to vet them, though…
No offense, but I kinda think that her wanting to give some praise to another black, although Obama is half black, can only get me to the point that she has that racist streak, but only for someone who is looking. Proposing a Change.org petition is something I can look past.
One could make the same claim about Martin Luther King, but why bother? There have been decades to make the case whether or not MLK was a Democrat, Republican, or a full blown communist. I have seen all those arguments, too.
Very few blacks could live up to Douglass. Kind of a high bar for anyone to have to climb over. I’ve only heard that word “Vetting” about a thousand times, in the last couple days. She was earlier than her contemporaries, in entering the race. There has been plenty of time to vet her. Does that make you wonder about motivation to vet her, now? It does, me.
Sure, I could be wrong about her. At the same time, what makes the other candidates more appealing? Could it be money? Since I can’t vote for any of the Pennsylvania senate candidates, my money is on the one who can make the strongest case, and she appears to do that. The rest is just noise.
