The Most Damaging Lie

Since the election of Trump in 2016, the major media in this country have been engaged in unceasing attacks on Trump, continuing even after Trump lost the election in 2020. Over the course of these 6 years of attacks, the number of lies has become innumerable. But I asked myself today, what is the most damaging lie they have told?

That is a tough question, what do we mean by damaging? Is it the most damaging if it causes the most deaths (attacks on Trump’s foreign policy accomplishments?). Is it the most damaging if it causes the most damage to the economy (climate change). Or is the damage caused to the American beliefs such as justice and fair play?

The attacks on Trump’s foreign policy accomplishments have been innumerable. Trump forced NATO countries to start to live up to their NATO commitments for the first time in decades. Just in time to stand up to Putin in Ukraine. Yet according to CNN, Trump has a bromance with Putin and does whatever Putin asks. Of course, this really highlights the complete incompetence of the CNN international news department since everyone else in the world recognizes that Trump merely followed one of the most ancient methods of dealing with enemies, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Trump obviously considered Putin an enemy.

The Abraham accords have come the closest we have ever been to Arab-Israeli peace, primarily by simply pointing out that the Palestinians aren’t a rational voice in the discussion, nor do they have any significant power, so just leave them out and reach peace with the rational voices involved. CNN and the terrorist lobby continue to be outraged about this as the agreements reached in the Abraham accords still show how well they have achieved something close to peace. Trump accomplished more in foreign policy than the previous four administrations combined, but they still attack his accomplishments. But the attacks on foreign policy are not the worst thing.

Trump’s climate change ‘plan’ amounted to drill baby drill, because he knew that the science on climate change is pretty clear at this point. Climate change, ie human generated CO2, was not causing any dangerous problems, and is not going to cause any problems in the future. The stats are clear, the temperature is not increasing enough to be a problem, the rate of sea level rise is not increasing, and extreme weather is not getting more extreme or more common. All of this is clear from unimpeachable data sources, but Biden is continuing his attack on our economy with his ‘climate change’ plan. But that is still not the most damaging lie.

The most damaging lie is the Russian collusion lie. This is the most damaging because it suborned the Department of Justice and the FBI and turned them into tools of the Democratic party. The FBI used to be the most trusted and effective law enforcement agency in the world. Trusted by everyone in this country. But between the Russian collusion hoax and the FISA warrant scandal, the FBI has been caught committing perjury more times than we can count, and a once trusted and effective law enforcement agency has become nothing more than a joke, and a dangerous joke at that.

And the Democrats are unashamed of their subversion of the FBI. They refuse to admit that Russian collusion was a hoax and ignore the proof of perjury at the highest levels of the FBI. Merrick Garland is spending his days watching the Jan 6 Committee hearings while the FBI continues to act as a rogue, lawless agency.

In Nazi Germany, we have the example of what happens when law enforcement becomes a political tool. In other countries, we have the example of what happens when the tool turns on the government and becomes the government. The Jan 6 committee accuses Trump of plotting a coup.
