Greetings my fellow Americans!
Lest we get lost in the trees and forget that we’re in the middle of a political forest, or engage in a circular firing squad as we quibble about who is our greatest enemy and threat, I call on everyone who truly believes in the traditions and values of America and seeks to conserve and/or preserve these to recall and/or recognize that we are still in a highly non-traditional global war for the psychology of the world. Yes, we do have people in eastern Europe engaged in (and being physically impacted by) some sort of traditional armed conflict between the governments and armies of Russia and Ukraine. We also have others (and some of the same) who essentially have complete global control over the major media outlets and governments, on which most of those not directly involved have come to trust and rely on for information, and have willingly put themselves at the mercy of those purveyors of narratives and producers of visual scenes and imagery to provide objective and unaltered evidence of the truth of that information.
Sadly, we’ve witnessed, most recently with their handling of the COVID-19 pandemic that, even in the United States, those with the public trust and responsibility to inform and govern cannot be trusted to share complete and grounded stories about what is happening in the world around us. What makes their approach to “enlightening” the consumers of their products particularly insidious is their ability to weave elements of truth into an otherwise false, or misleading, characterization of the agents and events involved, whether exaggeratingly bad or good.
In the case of the latest red herring known as the Russo-Ukrainian War, we’ve been treated, in only three weeks, to a deluge of news stories, live feeds, puff pieces, billboards, and social media posts, hashtags, emojis, emoticons, fact-checks, bans, etc., heavily promoting what probably seems like the most obvious scenario to most Americans; i.e., that chronically Russia has heinously and illegally invaded innocuous world-community member Ukraine, and that the world (including the United States) now has a social and moral responsibility to defend Ukraine and beat back, if not outright eliminate President Putin and all in his cabal who support this global injustice of his big, evil country attacking a smaller, non-threatening one.
There has been little love lost between Russia and the United States over the past 100 years, to be sure. And, on its face, helping Ukraine defend itself against a common enemy seems like the natural thing to do. Leaders of both U.S. political parties seem to be in complete agreement that the sovereignty of Ukraine and the rights of the Ukrainian citizenry should be preserved, protected and defended at all costs. All of the aforementioned media talking heads have likewise seemed to buy all-in to the notion “United We Stand with Ukraine,” and anything less is tantamount to global treason.
In other words, the same people who didn’t give one whit about the infringement of individual rights and freedoms of the rabble during the COVID-19 crisis are now among the strongest and most vocal champions of those rights for the people of Ukraine and this latest global crisis. Why? And why do simple and relatively inexpensive (as in minimal loss-of-life) solutions to this problem seem to be as elusive, discouraged, and/or outright vilified as those we obviously had to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19? Why must there only be one acceptable narrative, in each case, put forth to the huddled masses, with all others squelched, suppressed, and demonized? Why are billboards on the highway just a few miles from my house bearing the colors of Ukraine, and declaring our undying unity with that tiny nation; billboards which, by the way, were also telling me that “We’re all in this together” during COVID-19? Why am I being told that supporting and defending the sovereignty of Ukraine is more important, and morally responsible, than the sovereignty of the United States?
There continues to be much more going on with global governments, media, and corporations than meets the eye, and we need to much more critical of everything we see and hear via their communications and policies, even when we initially agree with them. We are still being groomed for, and/or weeded out from, the New World Order which is the real objective of these agents of “information.” Their tactics for achieving the utopia they have sought for so long know no bounds of disinformation and collateral damage, including the death of innocent people. This was apparent during COVID-19, and is now with the situation in eastern Europe. I will not presume to defend Vladimir Putin’s action which result in the death of innocents in Ukraine (or Russia), but nor will I grant morally elevated status to Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a George Soros-sanctioned politician and member of the World Economic Forum whose objective for me is to “own nothing, and be happy.”
We are still being played.

Yours is a great example of how the people of the entire world are being fed propaganda, and porridge, continuously, from all directions, likely steered from one central theme, like the world Economic Forum, and possibly some worse actors.
If most of that could be wiped away, Ukraine might never had happened. Covid might never have happened. The problem is the people who think they have all the answers, and have the desire to be Ford, in Brave New World. Those people don’t fit well with the rest of the world, when the Ten Commandments is at least considered.
Truth becomes a scarce commodity when someone else thinks they know better for you, than you. That’s where we are at. I want truth. The trouble with reality is that we are having to play the hand we are dealt. We might(would) have avoided a lot of our misery, if only we demanded the truth, and demanded justice, at least starting with that stolen election, for the most recent example. Since we are stuck with our hand, just what do we do? It’s in front of us, right now, and the dealer is the other guy. I think I will let history be the judge of the current president of Ukraine. I keep learning things about him. He has his hands full, right now.
Only Christ can judge what’s truly in a man’s heart. All we can say for certain is that we are all equally fallen, and use that fact as a guidepost to discern as best we can the truth of what we see and hear.
Thank you for the thoughtful response!
Jeff, my apologies for not noticing that you’d been caught in the spam filter earlier.
No worries. FYI, I think a comment I just left on Liz Vaughn’s latest article may be similarly trapped.
Yeah, it tends to do that when it sees two substantially similar posts in the same thread… 🙁 one of these days I’m gonna dig into WordPress documentation and see if there’s a way to create a class of Trusted Users without having to give them full Mod capabilities.
Only Christ can judge what is truly in a man’s heart. However, that we are all equally fallen is a certainty which, in any situation, can serve as a reliable guidepost for our properly discerning what others are claiming as truth.
Thank you for the thoughtful response!
Develop the path you want and follow it. Find like-minded citizens and go. Do not get trapped in too many current events.
The author of this article is either gaslighting his readers or is supremely ignorant. This war was deliberately instigated by the US to weaken Russia and to keep the EU subservient to Washington, but so far Russia is the beneficiary. If a nuclear war awaits us as a result of this confrontation, we will all be the lovers.
Thats it? The article read like an introduction to something with some meat on it. Tell me a story I dont know. What is passing for journalism is little more than filler. If there is a gas shortage it sure as heck isnt in journalism.
