Sometimes, the common citizen can see what’s happening and know that what’s bad is about to become worse and worse will default to awful. Yet, the people in power are either actively promoting the problems for their political purposes or providing a weak opposition which is impotent, incompetent, or too cowardly to stop the miscreants. This is the situation as the illegal alien invasion grows to a problem approaching the significance solving slavery was as a political issue.
How so? Back in 1860, no one had a satisfactory solution to slavery. As Thomas Jefferson said, a tiger was held by the tail. How to let go?
How long could some states have slaves legally and others not enforce the federal Fugitive Slave Act? Or, if slaves were emancipated, would compensation be paid – how? If slaves were free would they be allowed to migrate North and West where they were not wanted? What would it take in time, money, and effort to elevate people from the degraded humanity of slavery, as Booker T. Washington described, to literate citizenship? If slaves were emancipated swiftly, would Abolitionists continue to promote White genocide like John Brown did? Who would pay for returning Blacks to Africa as Lincoln suggested? Would they be forced to go?
No one had a plan. The politicians just pumped up regional differences for a decade to get elected locally.
In 1860, the population of these United States was 31,443, 322. There were 3,953,762 slaves. Almost 13% of the population provided an insoluble political issue which the politicians pushed from crisis to the calamity of war. The worst war in U.S. history.
In 2024, no one knows how many illegal aliens live in the U.S. The fixed number in public for over a decade – which makes it invalid if it stays fixed – is 11 million. Estimates go as high as almost 30 million, especially since the Biden Administration allowed 7 million more in just three years.
If the U.S. population is 336 million and we mid-range the illegal aliens at 20m, then illegal aliens are 6% of the population and rising.
Just like 1860, no one has a plan. Except the clueless, gutless, feckless Establishment Republicans in the U.S. Senate have a plan to allow 5k illegal aliens a day enter the U.S. Read that slowly again.
The US Code establishes a legal path for immigration of about 1 million people and an additional chain migration of another million every year.
Some Republican Senators, true cretins that they are, want to make legal what is specifically illegal now. It’s worse than District Attorneys who won’t enforce the laws against theft until the theft is high enough in their imagination to prosecute. It’s an abrogation and abomination of the Rule of Law.
When Trump, if he is the candidate, is crushed in November’s election, the illegal alien invasion will continue.
The Democrats plan on getting enough illegal alien votes in the swing states to win national elections. They can push some states like GA and NC to their side. They can unseat enough Republicans in New York and California to hold the House. Then, in 2030, the new census will add the illegals to pump up their representation.
Importing a new dependent class of government dependents will keep the Democrats in power for the foreseeable future. Furthermore, the Democrats will keep printing money to pay the bills, even though their fiat currency will be worth less and less. They’ll keep printing money like they did in Greece, Argentina until recently, and Venezuela. Then, boom, the economy collapses. Before that happens, by the way, our national security will be stripped to pay the interest on our national debt.
The elites will have more than enough to get by. Most Americans won’t. Meanwhile, illegal aliens are given free benefits citizens don’t get from Government.
What will the free state Governors do? What will the American citizens of sanctuary states and cities do?
If a Conservative administration can win a federal election, how many of the 20 million illegal aliens will be deported?
How many illegal aliens will remain here?
What is their path to citizenship?
What requirements, if any, will make them assimilate as American citizens and not become a permanent underclass of foreign peasants?
Who has a real plan – with real numbers – on how to fix the illegal alien invasion?
The crisis will become a calamity sooner or later.
