Part 1 walked through a bit of the recent history and involvement of US politicians and our government in the affairs of Ukraine. The subtle but pretty clear enduring lesson from Ukraine is the US has pretty much behaved abhorrently on the world stage with questionable leadership, the involvement of grifting politicians and amateur statecraft that has proven disastrous for the Ukrainian people.
We left off with the FBI “SWAT” raid of ~70 year old Paul Manafort-who had already gone through an investigation and dismissal of any foreign related business charges in 2014 and had long been cooperating with the FBI. The fact that the FBI decided to go with weapons, door breakdowns, massive show of force, leak it to CNN, one can’t help but view in the context of a number of totally spurious, unnecessary “political” Stasi-like “show of force” intimidation actions undertaken in recent years and we will return to problems with that action here shortly.
Part of the setup of the story with Ukraine has to address why the US has a special relationship and obligation with Ukraine, but I deferred it up to this point in the event that it might prove superfluous to the story.
Ukraine was a nuclear power-the third largest in the world entering the 1990s-as the Soviet Union “collapsed” in 1991. That collapse left Ukraine suddenly-in theory-a free nation out of the clutches of “Mother Russia-” with thousands of nuclear weapons.
Nuclear weapons are in many ways like cattle or ranch animals-I’m reminded of a saying in the ranching business that the “best way to become a millionaire is to start with several million dollars and buy horses.”
Ukraine chose to denuclearize in 1994 via a diplomatic action known as the Budapest Memorandum whereby the US, UK and Russia negotiated an agreement to guarantee Ukraine’s security.
The agreement also addressed three separate countries including Kazakhstan, Belarus and Ukraine. In addition to the aforementioned nuclear powers assurances, China and France signed separate and somewhat less specific agreements.
When Putin took Crimea and was poised to invade Ukraine he dismissed concerns that he was violating the Budapest Memorandum and reneging on Russia’s agreement because “that was an agreement reached with a different leader,” as if such agreements between countries are commitments of individuals.
Getting back to the raid and subsequent re-opening of the FBI investigation of Manafort, the rationale cited by the FBI for the action was the aforementioned “black cash ledger” reportedly found in the ashes of the fire that consumed 99% of the office where the fire took place.
An online search on this “evidence” scrolls for pages and pages of LSMBTGA articles about Manafort’s misdeeds-as evidenced by this information. The odd part about it is-notwithstanding that the FBI cited it publicly as the basis for the reopening of the investigation and the justification for the SWAT raid on Manafort-is that it was never introduced into evidence in his trial, nor cited in the case presented against him.
The likely reason for that-as reported by John Solomon- is Ukraine officials immediately warned the FBI that the black cash ledger had been looked at and was most likely a fake. Manafort was not paid in cash-he was paid in electronic bank transactions routed through the Cayman Islands. From the piece:
In search warrant affidavits, the FBI portrayed the ledger as one reason it resurrected a criminal case against Manafort that was dropped in 2014 and needed search warrants in 2017 for bank records to prove he worked for the Russian-backed Party of Regions in Ukraine.
There’s just one problem: The FBI’s public reliance on the ledger came months after the feds were warned repeatedly that the document couldn’t be trusted and likely was a fake, according to documents and more than a dozen interviews with knowledgeable sources.
For example, Ukraine’s top anticorruption prosecutor, Nazar Kholodnytsky, told me he warned the U.S. State Department’s law enforcement liaison and multiple FBI agents in late summer 2016 that Ukrainian authorities who recovered the ledger believed it likely was a fraud.
“It was not to be considered a document of Manafort. It was not authenticated. And at that time it should not be used in any way to bring accusations against anybody,” Kholodnytsky said, recalling what he told FBI agents.
Manafort “could not have possibly taken large amounts of cash across three borders. It was always a different arrangement — payments were in wire transfers to his companies, which is not a violation,” Kilimnik wrote in an email to a senior U.S. official on Aug. 22, 2016.
He added: “I have some questions about this black cash stuff, because those published records do not make sense. The timeframe doesn’t match anything related to payments made to Manafort. … It does not match my records. All fees Manafort got were wires, not cash.”
The FBI unsurprisingly did not cite the actual black cash ledger, but rather news reports about it. Far worse is that the FBI and also DOJ prosecutor Andrew Weisman met with the AP reporters the day prior to the story being released. Continuing a trend of malfeasance and collusion between the LSMBTGA and the government that was a critical tactic used throughout the entirety of the Russia Hoax against Trump.
The bank records and payments were disclosed by Manafort and his partner to the FBI-the transactions were traceable-the Ukraine authorities believed the ledger was fake, as it did not match any of the records maintained that showed the payments.
To close out this piece of the story on Manafort, Ukraine apparently believed it was in their best interest at the time to go after Trump, starting with Paul Manafort. The question is-in this thread of events that traces from the success of the Obama directed “Color Revolution” in 2013 to these actions directed against Trump starting in 2015, who was the coordination element on the ground in Ukraine?
It wasn’t long before Stone was raided as well-anybody remember why? I honestly don’t-was being cocky while testifying to congress now a crime? I could look it up-but the LSMBTGA hates Roger Stone-loathes him-so a search will disclose almost a comedy routine of leftist argle, bargle and argh about Stone.
Consider also that Roger Stone wrote a book about the JFK Assassination govt conspiracy-and he was advocating for Trump to declassify all those records that remain classified.
Manafort and Stone shared a common knowledge of information that was likely to be embarrassing to our government. I’m not linking Ukraine and Roger Stone here. I think the insinuation or evidence is that an out of control DOJ and FBI decided they had free rein to go after partisans disliked by the Obama administration-and they acted with reckless abandon to do so: whatever it took.
Stone was not only raided by an FBI SWAT team at oh dark 30. The raid was leaked to CNN and they were on scene with cameras to record it. What might Stone have had? How dangerous was the ~70 year old Roger Stone?
The exposure of things like recent releases that Oswald was trained at the CIA Russian language school in the Carolinas-kind of unusual for a 19-20 year old United States Marine Private or Corporal doggie with a poor academic record with a troubled background-they had a 201 file on him-that never came up in the FBI 5 volume report Hoover prepared for the Warren Commission-nor in the ~878 page Warren Commission Report that included Allen Dulles-he having been recently fired (by JFK) as CIA Dir.
Nor did the FBI 1099s on Oswald get mentioned-despite the Commission publishing nauseating detail about Oswald’s tax records to support a narrative that he could not hold a job and didn’t make enough to support his family. Neither was it mentioned that his uncle Dutz Murrett was a numbers runner for Carlos Marcello-the MAFIA or Syndicate lead for a territory from Louisiana to Texas: did not merit a mention.
Also that Oswald often borrowed his (Dutz’) car to deliver-or pick up-receipts or money at Carlos Marcello’s Town and Country (No-Tel) Hotel and restaurant in the Louisiana swamps—the Warren Commission and Hoover reports went out of their way to make the point that Oswald did not have a license and could not drive-a ne’re do well who could not keep a job and did not know how to drive.
But spoke near fluent Russian-his Russian wife thought he was Russian when she met him. He spent a tour in Japan as a radar operator doing flight following on the U-2 (Top Secret clearance)-his medical records indicate his bout with an SDT in Japan was “in the Line of Duty” (great duty…) Yet this no-account loser, loner communist had -by age 24-spent tours in Japan and Russia, mastered the Russian language, was apparently employed by the FBI and CIA.
He also worked in concert with Temple University supporting a team that was developing an aggressive form of cancer that could be used against Fidel Castro-in a scheme that was being run out of AG Kennedy’s Office—and he eventually sent a JFK assassination warning through the FBI Field Office in New Orleans-that had to have reached Hoover.
Much like his companion in the “arts”-Richard Case Nagel-who also sent a warning about the JFK assassination to Hoover-and attempted to bring attention to the fact that he sent it when he saw no reaction by the FBI-by firing warning shots-45ACP-into the ceiling of a bank in El Paso in late Sep 1963 to bring attention to himself and indirectly force the FBI-Hoover-to do something-to out them-but it did not work.
And-finally-I believe Oswald did the same thing-fired a warning shot-only from the Book Repository-and it was a genius move if you think about it-but I’m the only one I know of who has come to this conclusion-Oswald knew the depth of the conspiracy could not be thwarted by any individual-it was too deep-and Marcello had a sign in his office that “3 can keep a secret if 2 of them are dead.”
I think Oswald switched rifles with “Mac Wallace“-a killer who often did dirty deeds dirt cheap for LBJ-who had been convicted of murdering a golf pro in Austin years before who was rumored to be messing with LBJ’s “loose and embarrassing” sister.
Oswald’s rifle-if you recall-was used to reenact the shooting-and the sniper brought in to shoot it couldn’t hit his cheeks with both hands-it fired 5″ low and 2″ right, even at that short distance-note the Kennedy wound in that portion of his shoulder–Oswald fired a warning shot early-jumping the gun on the timing-and missing by a lot-using Mac’s Mannlicher-while Mac unknowingly had his.
Oswald thinking that secret service protocol would kick-in and the limousine would immediately speed away—was actually a semi-genius plan-but the plot did not allow for that—and he was a dead man walking when they took him alive from the theater-he was not going to make that trip to Cuba to deliver a cancer to take out Castro-those plans were scuttled……end of huge digression…
Could there be US involvement in this terrorist attack in Russia? I would have laughed about and dismissed such a proposition as ludicrous-ridiculous-a short time ago.
The 21st century has undermined a lot of people’s faith in our government and the righteousness of our activities in the international arena. Even those like me whose entire adult life was spent in service to our country between the military and civil service have been shaken to the depths over scores of events of the last 24 years-regardless of who held the ring of power.
This century has seen tectonic plate-like seismic battering ram-hits to the credibility of our system of government, on the edge-if not over it-of despotic rule where they have become so comfortable lying to us that it is the first choice when communicating.
I’ve written about the lies told to our generation spanning the last 70 years-for me it starts with the JFK Assassination, the Vietnam War, RFK, MLK, Malcolm X assassinations, on up to Nixon, Iraq War, ACA lies, Iran lies, Ukraine folly, DOJ and FBI malfeasance, COVID, election malfeasance and the 6 Jan insurrection and pipe bomb hoax.
The questions about the potential of our government being involved in things like the Nord Star Pipeline, pipe bomb hoaxes, potential terrorist attacks, benefitting from an open border, myriad items come to mind.
The problem with many of these issues is really not the fact that the government could have been involved, but that many people like me have been so hosed down with government malfeasance-lies-and doubling down on lies-that much like the Babylon Bee being put out of business by our crazy culture-it is too easy to believe the worst of our government these days: and most of the time, it has merit.
That has to change.
