Booted’ Out Truth: The Unfortunate Current Republican Party’s Cult of Conformity”

In the tangled mess of today’s politics, there’s a real head-scratcher that’s got me sorta fired up. Imagine my surprise when I found out I got the boot from my local Alpena County (Michigan) Republican Party’s Facebook group for just speaking truth about gun rights, quoting the one and only Donald Trump himself! Can you believe it? Apparently, saying something that DJT said himself conflicted with the group views; it’s like waving a red flag at a bull in that group. They called it “offensive.” Well, if telling the truth offends the local Republicans then we’ve got ourselves a much bigger problem. The way things are going, the Republican Party feels more like a Jim Jones revival meeting than a political party, and it’s a real downer, because I ain’t drinking the kool-aid!
This isn’t just about me getting the boot from a Turdbook Group; it’s about the Republican Party missing the mark on what made it strong once. Instead of embracing different conservative ideas, they’re shutting them down today… How can we tackle today’s problems if we can’t even have a good, honest discussion without emotions getting involved… We need to get back to the roots of honest talk, open debate, and welcoming opinions we may not exactly align with or own… That’s assuming the Republicans really we want to be a force for good in this country anymore? Maybe we should all care less about ourselves and more about the entire Nation, that’s a good starting point.
