U.S. and Israeli Officials Meet in Washington to Discuss Gaza Conflict and Diplomatic Tensions

Biden and the Deep State have ordered Israel to stop the war, and let Hamas survive. This is quite insulting to Israelis who have friends and family killed by the barbarians.  Still sticking out is the fact that Israel let them attack, and the people responsible have still not been brought to justice.

In a high-stakes environment marked by escalating public discord, key officials from both nations convened in Washington on Thursday to deliberate on the persistent conflict. This meeting featured significant participation, including national security adviser Jake Sullivan, who engaged with Tzachi Hanegbi, head of Israel’s National Security Council. Ron Dermer, Israel’s Minister of Strategic Affairs, also attended.

The agenda promised a comprehensive discussion on multiple fronts. “It’s going to be a wide-ranging discussion,” stated Kirby, a spokesperson for the U.S. administration. He highlighted key topics such as the ongoing war in Gaza, the U.S. support for Israel, strategies concerning operations against Hamas, and deliberations aimed at finalizing a crucial deal.

The atmosphere surrounding the talks was tense, especially following a controversial video released by Netanyahu, which a U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, criticized for inaccuracies and its deviation from diplomatic norms. This frustration was palpable within President Biden’s team, and it influenced the diplomatic itinerary, leading to the cancellation of a previously scheduled meeting focused on Iran. While this cancellation was officially attributed to scheduling conflicts, it underscored the strained relations between the two allies.

In response to queries about the cancellation, the White House clarified that the meeting’s postponement was due to logistical issues and affirmed that it would be rescheduled. This statement aimed to temper speculations about the underlying reasons for the schedule change.

Additionally, State Department spokesperson Matt Miller announced a subsequent meeting involving Blinken, Dermer, and Hanegbi. This session was set to cover critical issues including efforts to broker a ceasefire that would ensure the release of all hostages, the volatile situation along Israel’s northern border with Lebanon, and initiatives to facilitate and enhance humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
