America Dodged a Bullet, Again

In 2016 I was elated to be wrong about HRH Hillary I winning by 2 points. Much to my surprise, the working class Yankees saved the Republic. America dodged a bullet in 2016. In 2024 I thought the mail-in ballots in the swing states would win again and I’m very happy to be wrong again. This time the whole country shifted Red to renounce the Cultural Marxists. We dodged a bullet again!

Of course, President Trump literally dodged a bullet. Thankfully.

So, I’m beyond relieved that Kamala Harris and the Cultural Marxist Dems – I pol sci nerd name them the Human Secularist Totalitarians they are – lost. And, they lost “yugely.”

I’m a Movement Conservative. Thought I fit nicely as a Christian Populist until Trump started re-defining Populism. And, this election is definitely not about me.

It wasn’t a win for Republicanism, although the Republican brand candidates won more than lost. And, the win included the hard work of the Republican Party faithful.

It wasn’t a win for Conservatives, although Conservatives are big part of the coalition.

It wasn’t a win for Christians, although Christians are absolutely the base of the coalition.

It was a win for a coalition of the huge middle class of America with people who earn wages, small business owners, independent professionals and the ideological hodge-podge of All Others on the Right. This coalition is bigger than FDRs which ruled for 50 years.

It isn’t Conservative, Christian, or Republican as much as it is Common Sense. It’s about the economy, borders, crime, and absurd identity politics – like boys in girl’s sports.

It includes Democrats from Trump to RFK Jr to Tulsi Gabbard to Elon Musk.

It’s only and all about Trump just to his cult. The cult is a crude, distinct, and loud minority in the coalition.

Most importantly, the deciding votes that make this coalition a working majority are neither Constitutionally literate nor constrained by Constitutional limits. Ask, poll, and test them. They are pragmatic people. Good-hearted people. They believe America is still an ascending idea, but they aren’t ideological about how America works.

They voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012. They’ll vote Democrat in the future if the GOP doesn’t deliver on Trump’s promises. And, if the GOP doesn’t clean up all elections, the illegal aliens will over-vote them.

This is a golden opportunity for Movement Conservatives. It’s great to have power, by however slim a margin, for the next two years at least.

This is the time to cheer every Conservative policy and try to shape others – from within a position of power. Not the power to dictate, but to influence.

It’s much better to be on offense than on defense. This Common Sense Coalition can be trained, even educated, while its in power. It won’t be a puppet, but it definitely will be held on a long leash.

These are truly Happy Days Are Here Again! Iron, intended.

America remains deeply divided by the Great U.S. Culture War. This election could be a turning point for Conservatives. For the ideas of the American Revolution. For our traditional Biblical-worldview. For American Civilization and Western Civilization.
