Now What? 2.0

I wrote “Now What?” after the 2010 election. Cut and paste for 2024. As the great philosopher Yogi Berra said, “It’s déjà vu all over again.” We, The People, won a big win. Now what? Far better than before, We, The People can push back the Cultural Marxism hard and advance individual freedom as much as possible until the Empire (Human Secularist Totalitarianism) strikes back.

That could be one election cycle or it could be a few decades with this new governing Middle Class coalition which is bigger than FDR’s 60-year run. The Deplorables or Garbage People may go by “MAGA” for now, but they deserve a better, more descriptive name for their inflection point in American politics and history.

The inflection is a political realignment reflected in Trump’s win, not caused by it.

While big election wins are likened to tidal waves, actually, they’re more like a snow avalanche or a volcanic eruption. The buildup of snow or magma takes time. It’s barely noticeable, until the tipping point or the explosion happens.

So, Trump’s personal comeback triumph is coincident with political movement based on economic changes which began 40 years ago with the epochal shift from the Industrial Era to the Information Era and its global economy.

The realignment expands the Republican label to Democrats abandoned by the Leftward, downward descent into tyranny by their party as rabid Human Secularist Totalitarians. It chips away at the bloc voting of identity group partisanship. It includes Libertarians and Independents voting pragmatically for simple common sense policies. It harnesses the energy of the Mama Bears and others awakened by the excesses of “Trans”mania.

The issues of economy, crime, illegal alien invasion, and Woke nonsense won this election. Yet, almost half the country stands in an increasingly fanatical opposition.

The Great U.S. Culture War will deepen, widen, and harden with a significant Federal push back on the Cultural Marxism of DEI.

Yet, the way forward is very much like what I wrote in 2010:

“The 2010 huge, tidal wave, transformation election for The People is over.  We won.  Not the Republicans.  Not the Republican Party.

Now what?

Keep building the Tea Party [Update 2024 – local GOP] from the bottom up.

Organize locally.

Learn the ropes on how to nominate a Republican candidate for every level public office.

Keep talking up, sharing, educating the idea of restoring and then forwarding the Constitution – as written.

Make peace between Libertarians and Social Conservatives, Isolationists and Neo-Cons, Reagan Democrats and Cradle GOP – with the focus on the Constitution.

Watch what every elected official – politician – does.

Recruit potential candidates.  Be prepared to raise money.

Prepare to challenge incumbents (for federal offices) by Sep 2011[2026] – if necessary – with Constitutional Republican candidates.

Don’t lose sight of every office below POTUS when the hype for the 2012[2028] Presidential race starts in Jan 2011[2025].

Pray.”

I spent over 2 years going to local Tea Party meetings to coach as much as I could. Then, the Tea Party split, dissipated, and was absorbed as well as co-opted into the Republican Party. The Tea Party’s winning energy and votes came back in 2016 and 2014.

Re-writing in 2024, I’d add the urgency to fix election laws to make it much, much harder to cheat with mail-in ballots, no ID, same day registration, election season, vote harvesting, etc.

And, I’d include the courage to deport as many illegal aliens as possible in the next four years.

In a one-two punch – expand the winning margins in Congress and win POTUS in 2028 to control the 2030 Census and re-districting as well as fix your local school board. Then fix your county or city and state.

Support President Trump’s good moves and counsel wisely against bad moves – like his Covid-tyrant nominee for Surgeon General.

Watch what Gov. Ron DeSantis does in Florida, copy it, and improve on it where you live.

You have agency in your family, church, at work or school, and in your community affiliations. You have a voice on social media on X.

The “Now What” question is answered with “Who.”

The “Now What” is you. Now.
