Democracy Under Attack

Cackling candidate Kamala told us that if we voted for Donald Trump our democracy would face a crisis … and she was right! We elected the Donald and now the Democrats – along with their “non-partisan” helpers in the government – are determined to burn our REPUBLIC to the ground. Apparently, I missed the legal disclaimer in the campaign adds, that the Dems reserve the right to ignore the will of the voters if they don’t like the outcome of the election.

Well things didn’t go their way, so naturally the Democrats are forming an underground resistance to prevent President Elect Trump and his brigade of disrupters from taking control of Washington D.C. They’re committed to “saving democracy” from the will of the people, because the people are clearly a bunch of misbehaving children who didn’t chose right.

San Fran Nan is engineering a change of the guard in the House of Representatives. She wants more youthful party leadership, which will be more energetic in resisting the incoming President. Given that she impeached Trump twice in his first term, I have no idea what “more energetic resistance” will look like. But I know what it won’t look like: accepting the will of the voters.

The guys with the stars on their lapels over at the DoD have decided not to surrender for once, join the underground, and put up a bigger fight against the Republicans than they did against the Taliban. They’re holding meetings to remind soldiers (the guys that actually prefer to win wars) that they are honor bound to disobey any unlawful orders issued by the incoming Commander In Chief. That is true of course, but then they undercut the argument by the example they used. They consider an order to defend our borders from foreign invasion to be “illegal.” They claim they have a legal duty to allow foreign nationals – by the millions – to enter our country and disrupt our society from within. Our founders would have considered that a treasonous affront to civilian leadership – which of course is us.

Over at the DoJ, faux-special counsel Jack Smith has ended his prosecution of the incoming President … so that he can get a one-sided inflammatory report out to the propaganda ministry before his protector, Merrick Garland, slivers out of office. Nothing says “defending democracy” like running a government smear campaign against an incoming administration chosen by the people.

Whoever Joe Biden’s caregiver is, forged his name on the resistance recruiting contract to do a bit of subversion in his name. In the waning days of his administration, whoever is acting as Joe’s brain is

  • Relaxing immigration orders even more, to surge the foreign invasion,
  • Moving Obama subversives into underground resistance positions in the protected bureaucracy,
  • Packing the courts with as many radicals as possible, to ensure that the Supreme Court’s workload doesn’t let up for the next generation,
  • Double-dog daring Vlad the Mad Russian to go nuclear on the Ukrainians, who Joe encouraged to attack deep into Russia, and
  • Driving our national debt to an astronomical $37T by forgiving debts, bailing out “green energy” companies, and paying off the Ukrainians who financed his beach house.

Joe is just thoughtfully making sure “literally Hitler” has something to do during the inauguration balls.

Of course, the “democracy dies in darkness” guys want in on the resistance fun, and are showing that democracy also dies in obfuscation. Their contribution is endless breathless coverage of anonymous rumors intended to “Kavanaugh” all of President Elect Trump’s leadership choices. Apparently, their idea of “democracy” doesn’t involve the electorate actually picking the leadership it wants based on accurate information.

In our system of self-governance, we don’t often get to vote on the policies we wish to be governed by. I certainly didn’t see “deport all of the illegals” anywhere on my ballot. We get to vote for a candidate whose platform best aligns with our priorities, and who has sufficient credibility to be given our temporary authority. This year we voted for the guy who said he would secure our borders, provide government accountability, and implement sane economic policies.

I’ll admit that Donald Trump doesn’t have a George Washington level of credibility. But after the Dems promised a return to normalcy, and then the Biden clown car belched out Merrick Garland, Alejandro Mayorkas, Rachel Levine, Pete Buttigieg, and Sam Britton; he’ll be good enough. That took credibility out of the analysis, and we selected Trump primarily for his policy positions.

Naturally the party of demographic manipulation by foreign invasion, government corruption, and continual pursuit of new ways to pick our pockets; is a bit miffed. So, they’ve decided against honoring the election, and are giving the middle finger to voters instead. They have committed themselves to doing everything possible, to prevent Donald Trump from delivering on the campaign promises which we asked him to make good on. The Democrats said that our democracy would be at risk under Donald Trump, and they’re determined to make it so.

The Democrats had a chance to debate the issues. They chose to scream “Hitler” instead. Therefore, we decided to give the Republicans a chance. With their resistance, we now know that when the Dems say they are “defending democracy,” their defense is contingent on our voting for them. Otherwise, they ignore the will of the voters, and resort to sabotage and obfuscation.

The Democrats are only forming the resistance, because they think they have enough power to subvert the will of the electorate, think they can get away with it, and have no ethical guardrails against it. Such an application of raw power over the will of the people is not democracy, it is attempted tyranny.

Note: I know we are a republic and not a democracy. For purposes of this article I recognize that the Democrats ignorantly use “democracy” as a pseudonym for “self-governance.”
