The government and deep state swampy politicians need to corner the marketplace on Artificial Intelligence (AI,) Quantum Computing (QC) and Machine Learning (ML) else they will never be able to pull off some of these swindles like January 6th again.
In Part 1 I perhaps over belabored the Joe Rogan and Mike Benz interview, but you have to listen to it to believe it: I really did not do it justice. The depth of the plots and conspiracies in our government are shocking to the senses, even for those to whom the discussion was not a surprise nor new.
I didn’t much embellish on the discussion with Andreessen because I frankly ran out of room. It is just as jaw dropping if not more so from the standpoint of how frankly corrupt our government is, and more importantly how it is planning to go on steroids to infinity and beyond when it comes to AI.
Only the government-usually in collaboration or collusion with big tech-can get away with a scheme to corner the market on a new and emerging technology-and get away with it.
Andreessen-a noted “techie,” entrepreneur, renowned computer guru, tech investor and Silicon Valley member and aficionado-truly one of the renowned web design and computer innovators of his generation-was so disturbed by the plans he heard from our government when discussing the future of Ai that he decided to support Trump: if you can imagine…
Andreessen’s discussion with the government on AI centered on how there would be no future in AI investments, as the government plan was to co-opt and shepherd ownership in a way that would-in effect-corner the market by dominating intellectual property and licensing.
Why would the government undertake the pursuit of monopolizing AI and preventing the private sector from leading the way on developments, applications and use?
The answer to that question is fear of the known. The public was treated to a little too much of the view behind the curtain when 2000 Mules was released. Many still dispute the message or primary take away from the effort, but the bottom line is we are moving on two very deliberate paths that should worry the private and public sector alike.
In many of today’s big cities video cameras proliferate. New York City and Washington DC are two that likely have more cameras per block than any place in America. This was recently demonstrated during the murder of the United Health CEO where tracking, identifying and apprehending the alleged shooter was accomplished within a matter of days.
It is amazing what can be done when public officials want to, with integrated video and analytic systems in circumstances like this assassination.
But it is also increasingly indicting when the feds are “unable” to accomplish the same thing when they don’t want to, for instance in the widespread rioting and illegalities that followed George Floyd’s death in 2020 when none of the hooligans, rioters and looters were charged, never mind tried.
Remember when all those cities undertook analytic efforts to compile those videos, pick out those criminals, and hold them accountable for destroying their cities and neighborhoods, killing people, etc.?
Ha: did not happen. In fact many cities settled lawsuits with miscreants that had been roughed up in the course of destroying cities rather than face lengthy lawsuits (after they failed to follow-through with prosecutions and dropped charges.)
We saw the opposite in spades on steroids to infinity for many aspects of the January 6 government operation. Particularly the “mystery of life” pipe bomber, and also the very suspicious “gallows” that was erected perfectly framing the White House.
We know that the feds used cell phone data, ATM transactions, flight manifests, hotel logs, emails, etc., etc., to round up a litany of “J-6ers,” over some ~1200 Americans.
But somehow much of the electronic traffic among the government that day was corrupted or just plain unavailable. The FBI also reported the cell phone data was corrupted on the night-and day-the pipe bomber did their dirty deed. Notwithstanding that phone companies have recently disputed that supposed “fact.”
Just because it is now disputed doesn’t mean anything has changed in solving the case. As far as the public knows this was just more of the revelations of the corruptness of our government that day that will have to be extruded out of “them” through lawfare…the public be damned…
What this has to do with AI, ML and QC is that the future will hold no secrets in highly observed areas like this where signature data is continuously collected, and it is becoming child’s play-routine-to make sense of it.
With QC there is no analytic task that can’t be accomplished in the hands of computer expertise that can put the computer through its paces to accomplish it: with AI maturing into a learning application, it is simplicity itself for the computer to adopt and adapt better and more refined applications to optimize execution of the task to get to the correct answer, faster.
While ML is what enables the repetition, training and comparative machine skills that turns raw computing power into a solution optimized juggernaut.
How easy do you think it would be to determine the identity of the gentleman in the above gallows article if you had an AI system with robust ML on the case-and access to FBI personnel records???
A movie that came out in 2008-Eagle Eye-was well ahead of its time but was likely not lost on deep state swampers looking to manipulate people, situations and events by a master, near sentient computer hell-bent on mayhem.
The Terminator is another warning shot across the bow of how things can get out of control when computers predominate every aspect of life. The Matrix is an extreme control version, but there are many movies predicting the fate of humanity in an environment of governments reliant on computers, actuaries and temerity.
Minority Report is perhaps the most realistic view in terms of a society that becomes so averse to bad outcomes they look to be pre-emptive in the application of the law in ways that can be manipulated, not unlike the events of 6 January.
Out of Minority Report came a situational awareness tool called Oblong that combines a sophisticated event aggregation capability with an immersive viewing environment and communications suite intended to provide event oversight and crisis management.
With the combination of AI, ML and QC it would not be unrealistic to have somebody picked out of the crowd at a huge event like the Super Bowl because of online comments that trigger a threat assessment that co-ops stadium security cameras linked into some central command center that results in an out of the blue visit.
How fast could this combination of capabilities perform this type of feat/action? I don’t want to give away any trade secrets or spill any “magic beans,” but it doesn’t do much good having several thousand security cameras focused on a place like Times Square in New York City if you don’t have an integrated computer package leveraging AI/ML/QC to perform analysis.
Now NYC had some 35K police officers last time I received a decent briefing on their capability, but you can only fit so many around a control and analysis system. The secret sauce is the analytics behind the cameras…
There are several different camera types-scads-of cameras used in the security business. One of the early-on lessons learned in places like convenience stores is you had better have a very good security system (camera) properly positioned if it is to help in the event of a problem.
A cheap camera may save you money but if it has insufficient resolution, a low refresh rate, poor optics, you might find yourself trying to pull information out of a mudhole that reveals nothing.
The drive to integrate high-definition capability on Predator Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) that enabled arming the UAVs as weapons platforms carrying the Hellfire Missile was a classic example of mating an image and weapons capability with tactics, techniques and procedures to achieve a markedly different mission than simply boring holes in the sky and ground doing Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance.
Apropos to nothing-but it is just as useless spotting UBL and not having a weapon engagement system as it is not being able to tell whether it is him or not.
Many caught onto or discovered little tidbits of interest about security cameras when it was revealed that some of the video of the Feds DC Pipe Bomber was taken with a camera that could be zoomed, panned, and manipulated. While a blinding flash of the obvious, that means that a human being is manning the camera controls.
If AI or cloud analytics were the first step in that analytic chain, an alert would have sounded when the camera imaged an object that ML would have recognized as a Pipe Bomb. While not likely applicable in the Fed Pipe Bombing example, AI would have screamed out for the other available video footage to perform analysis, to track the subject, to link into the taxi and subway information, to compile profile data, initiate data base searches: and not complain when video was “missing.”
I think it is sad to say or observe that the Fed DC Pipe Bombing hoax reminds me of the story I wrote about where there was an attack on the gate at our US Embassy in Iraq. The State Dept requested analysis of the video and sent it to our business unit. We had been involved in some of the security planning and construction design, so it was strange that only one camera had usable video to review.
We soon discovered why. Several minutes before the Improvised Explosive Device exploded, somebody displaced the video camera out of its mount and placed it on its side facing the guard shack. The IED was impressive, the video was useless, but it did reveal that we had rats in the Iraq guard force that were very easy to find.
What could be sadder or more tragic to realize that we have rats working for the DC Capital Police and the FBI and probably Secret Service who-in effect-did the same thing with a lot of the evidence, including the security camera and a lot of the ancillary email and other useable information that could prove which FED agency pulled off this hoax?
For those who followed it, IBM’s WATSON was designed to leverage cloud analytics in a variety of fields that included things like medicine, law enforcement, Jeopardy and even Iron Chef. Watson won Jeopardy against humans, which seems like a great feat.
Unless you consider that in order to compete there was a fixed corpus of Jeopardy specific information-questions and answers. And Watson had massive compute power behind it, along with a very sophisticated fast calculation mode which determined within milliseconds to seconds the probability on having the right answer as a first cut at ringing the buzzer.
It is not hard to imagine how far such a system has come along in the subsequent decade or more…In fact computers have basically achieved a higher rating in chess than any human in history, while defeating top humans in even esoteric games like “Go.”
I’ve wandered a bit afield from my topic which was another recommendation to listen to these two Rogan Podcasts to get insight on some very disturbing information about our government that has now become another decrement to my “conspiracy theory” list.
I definitely need to come up with more to replace the dozens-perhaps hundreds-that have been validated and moved to facts in this century.
Andreessen’s concern is real, while Benz information is downright frightening.
Combining the two provides a glimpse into a very disturbing future for the US where the government has implemented a broad-based censorship regime on We The People. And has implemented AI to perform monitoring and enforcement that can freeze bank accounts, suspend government provided services, paychecks, retirements, social security payments, you name it.
What steps would you support the government taking against enemies of the state: like the J-6ers?
Be afraid: be very afraid.
