The Long March of Cultural Marxism in America

On February 24th, I’m giving my presentation of “The Long March of Cultural Marxism in America”. It’s how a governing majority in two of America’s founding regional Sub-Cultures abandoned the Biblical worldview of the American Revolution and adopted the evolved Human Secularist Totalitarian worldview of the French Revolution in Cultural Marxism.

It’s the step-by-step march through the seven institutions that shape American society, culture, and Civilization. The presentation provides context and illustrates the gravity of today’s issues. Understanding how Leftists made their Long March is necessary to defeat them and win the Great U.S. Culture War.

One point sets the stage: “Culture Commands”.

Every society from tiniest tribe to greatest civilization had one and only one Culture at the top – at a time. A country, empire, or nation-state may be multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, religious to a degree, and pluralistic with many Sub-Cultures. But the Sub-Cultures fit beneath the overarching culture that commands the society

Culture sets the right and left limit for every aspect of human life – wherever there are humans living in a society.

One overarching culture, alone, rules a nation-state.

America was opposing regional Sub-Cultures from the start. The Tidewater Anglican Cavaliers, New England Puritan Absolutists, Middle Atlantic Quaker and German Mercantile Pragmatists, and the Frontier Scot-Irish Fighters.

These Sub-Cultures were significantly different. They fought each other in the British Isles. In America they merged enough to create a Consensus Culture defined by an American Creed. In 1776, the uniquely Protestant, Enlightenment, Biblical worldview and heritage from Britain became “American”.

Every immigrant and minority group assimilated into a regional Sub-Culture and the Consensus American Culture – the Biblical worldview of the American Revolution – until there was an open break with the worldview of the French Revolution in 1962. The Supreme Court had the temerity to rule against the Consensus Culture because the Justices knew they wouldn’t be impeached.

As the shift from American Consensus Culture to Human Secularist Totalitarianism evolved in each institution, there was resistance. There still is. That’s why we’re still in the Culture War.

Education as an institution was the progenitor of change. Education went from sectarian Protestant to non-sectarian to Ecumenical to Secular to Anti-West/Anti-Christian and Cultural Marxist.

Education was dominated by the elite schools in New England and the Middle Atlantic, because the two Sub-Cultures in the South were devastated by the War Between the States.

Then, New England and the Middle Atlantic Sub-Cultures ruled the other institutions – Government, Business, Media, Arts and Entertainment, and Religion – as they were led or highly influenced by graduates of elite education.

Shocks to Western Civilization accelerated the shift in ideas. Industrialization, Urbanization, Darwin, World War I, Global Depression, and World War II challenged the worldview of America’s consensus Culture. Frankly, Western Civilization has never regained its moral, intellectual, and spiritual self-confidence since the industrialized mass murder on World War battlefields.

The Frankfurt School brought Cultural Marxism in its present form to the U.S. in the 1930s.

The U.S. suffered a crisis of confidence in the 1960s with many challenges accentuated by the open division over the Vietnam War.

Since the 1960s, the march of the Cultural Marxists gained speed, acceptance, and reached new heights of power in each institution.

Yet at every step there’s a reactionary push back. The pushback is strongest in the institutions of Family and Religion.

Furthermore, the Biblical American Revolutionary worldview has the most strength in the two Southern Sub-Cultures at the same time the Culture War is becoming more rural-urban nationwide than regional.

That’s the quick summary. The 45 minute presentation contains many slides which could be full semester college seminars.

We conclude: The Long March of Cultural Marxism in America can be left in the dust by the ascending climb of the evolved Biblical worldview of the American Revolution. Takes vision, focus, courage, and work.
