The Left (I just call them Bolsheviks nowadays) claims words are violence to shut people up. They police speech because the lies of Cultural Marxism and barbarian Islam can’t compete with the truth. They’ve done that since a Marxist invented the word “Revisionism” to criticize another Marxist’s politically incorrect speech. Words have meaning that shatters their ideas, their purpose, and their identity. Americans should use the very words they fear.
The other day, I wondered when words, like the Crusade, Colonialism, and Confederate went bad. Those words used to name historical events. They were twisted from history to emotional virtue-signal – masquerading as morality – evil.
I never got the memo.
And, there are so many other words, like assimilation in regard to immigration. Homosexual as sexual deviancy. Indian massacres instead of mere attacks. Government spending became investments. And on and on.
I can’t recall exactly when words fell afoul of Bolshevik Speech Police, but when I gave a presentation in 2025 on “Learning from History: The Importance of Language” for the Foundation for American Christian Education (F.A.C.E.), I pointed out the how and why the Bolsheviks mess with our Mother Tongue.
Because as they say themselves, “For the Critical Race Theorist, objective truth, like merit, does not exist, at least in social science and politics. In these realms, truth is a social construct created to suit the purposes of the dominant group” (Richard Delgado and Jean Stefanic)
And “This approach demands a constant redefinition of history in the light of immediate reality and an insistence on action” (Howard Zinn)
So that “The meaning of a word is the effect it is intended to produce”.
Of course, Eric Blair (pen name George Orwell) nailed the Totalitarianism of the Left and Islam when he wrote a fictional future with more accuracy and truth than the most well-documented history.
“Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.” (1984)
“The very concept of objective truth is fading out of the world. Lies will pass into history.” (1984)
“Political language… is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable…” (“Politics and the English Language”)
“The past was erased,the erasure was forgotten, the lie became truth.” (1984)
Western Civilization is infected with Cultural Marxism as an incipient, increasing Human Secularist Totalitarianism and invading barbaric, savage Islamist Totalitarianism.
It’s here even in old Virginia.
Bangladesh-born, Virginia State Senator Saddam Azlan Salim submitted SB 624 add the definition of “Islamophobia” as “malicious prejudice, or hatred directed toward as Islam or Muslims” as cause to make misdemeanor simple assault become a felony.
Every so-called hate crime is thought crime. The concept of thought crime is truly evil and anti-American.
So, it’s not a surprise that a Muslim would try to use our law against us. To demand a protected status. To criminalize thought and speech as “malicious prejudice and hatred”. There’s no separation of mosque and state in Islam.
Now is the time to speak truth – the forbidden words – to power. To our neighbors. To church family and blood kin.
