Dusting Off Some Seminal History: Remember When The Iranians Admitted They Lied And Misled The 5+1 And The Group Of Foreign Ministers Part 2

Many Pundits Are Either Rooting For Iran Or Against The US: The American People Are Tired Of Iran’s Terrorism And Their Death To America Leadership

In Part 1 I somewhat rambled on about some of the top-level issues that have happened over the years with democrat control of our government that produced just terrible outcomes for the American people. Many of the biggest problems festered and were never resolved until they totally blew up.

An extreme example of these problems includes the 7 October 2023 Hamas attack on Israel which rewarded the democrats for funding much of the Hamas build-up for the attack. One might want to ask the question how the Palestinians have been struggling for so long when foreign aid as well as money from their sponsors in Iran has been rolling in non-stop for a quarter century.

The answer is the Palestinian people don’t see much of that money, which has gone for Hamas weaponry, tunnels, and equipment to battle the Israeli’s while maintaining they are not responsible for Palestinian safety or quality of life.

Since 1993 the US Govt supplied more than $7.6 billion dollars to the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, mostly through USAID.

Meanwhile Iran was spending their ill-gotten JCPOA booty bribery money to robustly fund their proxies Hamas and Hezbollah, putting their nuclear weapons development plans on steroids over the last decade with the influx of billions of dollars and the lessening of sanctions that rekindled their oil revenues.

Which reminded me of what we discovered from the Iranians during their “nanny, nanny boo boo” confession period in 2019 when they acknowledged they lied to us-the 5+1 and the IAEA Ministers-wait for it-to get the money and to continue their nuclear developments unabated.

Don’t take my word for it. This January 2019 American Thinker article by Hassan Mahmoudi-Iran Admits it Lied To Obama’s Iran Deal Interlocutors discusses how Iran negotiators continuously lied and hid efforts that they agreed to discontinue that were subject to inspections under the JCPOA. From the piece:

These confessions reveal that during the nuclear negotiations with the 5+1 that led to the July 2015 agreement, Tehran’s sole intention was to fool the world powers to buy time, without interrupting its nuclear arms race.

The concealment of unauthorized equipment at the Arak site is the latest in a long series of deceptions by the clerical regime in its nuclear projects that are being carried out under the control of the regime’s leaders, in particular Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and Hassan Rouhani, the president of the Islamic Republic, who was the main negotiator of Iranian nuclear power with the world powers.  This is an issue that the Iranian Resistance has been raising since 1991, having warned against its threats.

Who was the Chief Iranian negotiator in these efforts? The Obama-Ben Rhodes depicted moderate Iranian who was touted as the emerging promise for improved relations with the US. Quoted here from the piece: On March 5, 2006, the Sunday Telegraph revealed, “In a speech delivered at an in camera meeting of prominent Islamic clerics and academics, Hassan Rouhani, who led talks with the European Troika until last year, revealed how Tehran played for a long time and tried to fool the West after its secret nuclear program was discovered by the Iranian opposition in 2002.”

These developments would only shock the system and surprise if you were naïve enough to believe the Iranian leadership could be trusted in the first place. Which the American people did not, as some 85% of Americans polled in the 2012 timeframe on whether they supported a rapprochement with Iran said no. That did not stop President Obama from undertaking secret negotiations with them as early as 2009 that did not become public knowledge until sometime in 2012-2013: oh, that’s right, it came out post-election 2012-Obama’s re-election.

In spite of the result and these facts, you still have pearl clutching members of the public-same ole LSMBTGA-and congress talking as if the JCPOA was the golden solution to the problem and was only an issue because of Trump. Remember when the Biden Administration attempted to dust off and revive the JCPOA? Even the Iranians weren’t interested in pursuing such a canard-like mutually assured pile of dung.

Notwithstanding that it fit with Islamic tenants of duplicitous negotiations being fair game when dealing with heretics: non-Muslims…But there was no chance that Biden could find another 100 billion dollars to make it happen, which was the cost of doing business.

Fool me once…

If only the Iranian people or the poor Palestinians could have benefitted from the tens and hundreds of billions of dollars the United States, UN and the world gave them over the years to improve their quality of life rather than funding efforts to build weaponry, rockets, missiles, tunnels, terrorism, mayhem and anarchy…

My original article was about the fecklessness of foreign policy in the Obama administration that was going to live on in the HRC administration, but with election-interuptess, had to be deferred only to be carried forward into the Biden administration, this time on steroids.

This is the article that was published 11 May 2021 (in its entirety-it has timed off our AFNN site) that became the Global Folly Back in Fashion In The Swamp Series.

Obama laid the foundation for this but Biden is how we got here.

The Hardest Job in the US: The Biden-Harris Foreign Policy Team EOD Guy

Clean-up on aisle 7” keeps echoing in my head (I know-get help!)

You can go a lot of years in the workforce without ever experiencing a “good boss,” never mind a great one. Some are luckier than others in that regard. You can also work for years without ever having the challenge to solve a tough or hard problem.

In my former line of business involving intelligence and technology developments and innovation, the high bar was a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) declared “Hard Problem.” Such problems involve things like isolating which synapses or neuron fires when an analyst doing wide area search on imagery (aerial photography) recognizes something speeding past them on a motor driven light table as a substitute for a tachistoscope-a device typically used to teach speed reading.

For me and other day-to-day lunch bucket folks, a DARPA challenge would be a rare bird indeed.

But imagine being lucky enough to start your nuclear power generation career in Japan-at a little-known place called Fukushima-in early March 2011? There is nothing like a natural disaster combined with a potential nuclear core melt-down to jump start that nuclear power engineering resume…(I was new, just started, had nothing to do with it, thousand points of light.….)

I thought of this analogy as the early returns come in on the worlds reaction to the initial efforts of the Biden-Harris administration’s preparation of the philosophical foreign policy battlefield. I’m not saying it has become a tough act to follow, just reporting that Mike Rowe said “there are easier ways to make a living” (a joke.)

How would you like to be starting at Fukushima circa 2011, er, I mean as part of the Biden-Harris foreign policy team? Right off the bat Biden-Harris sent clever little virtue signals that a new sheriff was in town by way of indicating who was in and who was out. Now all swamp crewmates were very impressed with themselves and immediately dusted off the tried-and-true democrat playbook on a number of issues. Including China, Russia, Venezuela, and middle east peace. Best characterized by somebody who has no idea what works, disgraced Iranian dealer, Israel doxer, Paris Peace Accord advocate and James Taylor diplomacy loving John Kerry.

If Robert Gates opinion were solicited, he would no doubt place John Kerry second only to President Biden in the running for worst American foreign policy pundit since World War II: but it is a hotly contested race.

Right on cue we have rockets back in fashion in the Middle East as the Palestinians and Hamas renew their Gaza-based “diplomacy by fire and martyrdom” approach that plays very well with some democrats. A cynic might observe that this is a shocking way to thank the United States congress for the re-establishment of Palestinian funding and “happy talk” about renewed peace efforts. Or that delaying a simple call to Israel meant something to somebody.

Gee, they only waited four months to rub it in our silly faces…

You can count on the anti-semitic choir to be constructive, dusting off the pipes and contributing some gasoline and illogical thoughts. Representative Tlaib apparently thinks that the “peaceful” violence, rock throwing and window breaking, followed by rockets, is a routine religious expression that has been long “unjustly denied.” Expect the application of her BDS/defund drumbeat in the coming days. While Representative Omar observed that those firing rockets at the Israelis (with Israel absurdly called the “real terrorists” in her twisted logic) should receive the Iron Dome rocket/missile defense technology.

This may be one of the dumbest statements ever uttered by an American congressman among stiff competition. Or she may be on to something, since there is a problem as Hamas goes deep into their rocket stores and gets to the cheap ones that often blow up over their own people…

One of the first dignitaries to visit the new president was Japanese Prime Minister President Yoshihide Suga. Shockingly, nobody but a military person answered the door and greeted him upon arrival. Shortly thereafter, the VP showed for a quick presser and quickly soiled herself with a nod to the obligatory gun violence comments that had nothing whatsoever to do with the Prime Minister’s visit.

Things were back on track in short order, with the WH releasing a picture that puzzlingly showed President Biden and the Prime Minister at a dinner table with what appeared to be “Five Guys” in front of them. Despite being at least ten or more feet apart, both were masked, with our president apparently sporting two masks.

Biden made up for it by noting that a “Japanese Boy recently made history by winning the masters” (that “boy” is actually a Japanese national hero who also has a name-Hideki Matsuyama.) To say it was a rough start for Biden-Harris diplomatic efforts would be an understatement not unlike observing that Clark Griswold’s trip to Wally World was “rough.”

Meanwhile VP Harris met with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and things went either okay or not so well. Being accused prior to the meeting of funding a coup against the Mexican president did not bode well for the discussion.

Most know by now that Secretary of State Blinken’s Alaska meeting with Chinese representatives went well, with the exception of an unexpected twenty-minute lecture from the Chinese in their allotted three minute opening in which they lectured the US delegation as being in no position to lecture the Chinese about rights in light of George Floyd and social tensions. The meeting in diplomatic terms was challenging, trying and long….

And speaking of Russia, Russia, Russia. President Biden has spoken enough now that he is free and out of the bunker to provide guidance and commentary for diplomats who will deal with-and confront-Russia. We must apparently confront them because Orange Man Bad and things are now “different.” One way to go about this-at least given the opinion and wisdom of our president-is to insult Russian President Putin in a manly fashion by calling him out on election stuff, although by this time-only a true idjiot believes the Obama lies and the Hillary Clinton made up nonsense about Russia collusion-while also accusing him of being a killer.

Recounting things that never happened like a mano a mano conversation where Biden “looked in his eyes and told him he had no soul, going one better than W...” You know, the usual smarmy prelude innocuous comments to other world leaders about routine stuff leading to lunch and summits! Our president has mentioned numerous times now that plans are underway for a meeting or summit or one-on-one with Russia and Putin.

However, there seems to be a bit of a disconnect at this point, possibly caused by loose talk, hubris, and loose lips-terms Robert Gates might use to describe President Biden’s philosophy on foreign policy. But Russians-particularly former KGB and GRU members-always plan for and leave an exit, so a meeting will likely take place this summer.

Our President needs to be careful with what he asks for, as Putin spanked him soundly during a previous one-on-one where he showed just how callous, plotting and cold-blooded he could be with diplomatic “niceties.” Biden may have forgotten about it or memory holed it, but Putin has been forewarned by loose talk, and it would not be out of character for him to provide another lesson.

All to say good luck with the Tsunami and nuclear reactor Secretary Blinken! There are harder jobs around to be sure, but being the equivalent of an EOD technician on the Biden-Harris foreign policy team is going to be a sporty job.

I wish him well!
