No matter how much you hate the credentialed media, you do not hate them enough!

Donald Trump certainly enraged the credentialed media during his first campaign for President by calling them #FakeNews. WLKY, the CBS television affiliate in Louisville, Kentucky, at least skewed the headline and story enough for them not to be lies:

Person charged with murder after man fatally shot in Buechel

by Alex Suckow | Thursday, October 29, 2026 | 11:07 PM EDT

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is dead and a suspect is behind bars after a shooting outside of a home in Buechel.

The shooting happened in the 200 block of Derby Avenue, down the street from Buechel Park and just off Bardstown Road. We’re told the 911 call came in just before 2 p.m.

According to police, when they arrived, they found a man outside of a home with gunshot wounds.

Neighbors tell WLKY they heard six shots.

The victim was taken to UofL Hospital, where he died. He has not yet been identified.

LMPD later announced the arrest of 31-year-old Lindsay Kelley. Kelley is charged with murder.

There’s more at the original.

But WHAS, Channel 11, the ABC affiliate headlined it, “Woman charged with murder after fatal shooting in Louisville’s Buechel neighborhood,” and referred to the suspect as a woman.

News flash: “Lindsay Kelley” is actually named Landon Jones, and yes, he’s male. As you can see from the Jefferson County Booking Record shown at the upper right, Mr Jones is listed under his pseudonym, possibly because he changed his name legally, but the jail has him listed as male. Wouldn’t WHAS reporting that Mr Jones/”Miss Kelley” was a woman qualify as fake news?

We have included, in the image to the left, Google’s AI Overview of the Associated Press Stylebook’s guidelines for covering transgender people and gender identity. The AP Stylebook, which is widely used by the credentialed media, instructs journalists to lie.

WLKY’s Alex Suckow at least had enough sense to not violate the AP Stylebook rules, but wrote his story in such a manner as for it not to be a lie. Still, his action puts him in the minority when it comes to credentialed media journolists.¹ The credentialed media do not want to tell you the truth because the truth is politically incorrect so often. It’s not that you can’t handle the truth, but they are deathly afraid that if you are informed of the full truth, you would not accept liberal positions.

But I have to ask: if we cannot trust the credentialed media to tell us the truth on one thing, how can we trust them to tell us the truth on anything else?
