Carl Spurlin Deke, a Florida native and World War II veteran recently celebrated his 100th birthday. In his interview he looked back fondly on his life, mostly happy times, “I’ve lived a good life. I’ve had a lot of love, happiness, smiling, telling everybody that everything was beautiful every day.” But he repeated a refrain that is becoming increasingly common of veterans of all wars-skirmishes-UN Actions-undeclared wars: This is not what we fought for.
“People don’t realize what they have. They b*tch about it. And then nowadays, I am so upset because the things we did, the things we fought for, and the boys that died for it, it’s all going down the drain.” Deke began weeping as he added “Our country is going to hell in a handbasket. We haven’t got the country we had when I was raised, not at all.”
The 100-year-old WWII vet cried for those growing up in America today saying, “Nobody will have the opportunity I had. It’s just not the same. That’s not what our boys, that’s not what they died for.”
I can’t imagine the anguish of our greatest generation as they get doused with today’s headlines. No thinking, honest person with any cranial activity in the housing group who listens to the LMSBTG* these days can come away neutral or wonder about his remarks. But what could have caused him to make these comments? Well, Mr. Deke knows of what he speaks.

Anybody following the Biden administration hires and policy has been rocked by the sheer ineptitude he assembled. Now few can profess to be truly shocked that Biden-he according to Robert Gates opinion having been wrong about every national security issue for four decades-has proven to be terrible at bringing talent to the government. Far worse that he’s doubled down on the terrible policies of the “scandal free Obama administration” by elevating many of those losers from the JV squad to be starters.
But nothing says bony middle finger to we the people-and it takes it to a new level-when we discover who some of these aberrant misfits are-and what jobs they have been placed into: exemplified by this nutjob on steroids being rubbed in the publics face.
Just imagine the reaction of a World War II veteran-or any country loving, god fearing American getting a load of that story?
Then there is the idea that teachers-of all people-would support and implement policies sexualizing and inflicting racist guilt trips on the minds of innocent children as young as kindergarteners, actions that would have been viewed as disqualifying not so long ago-criminal- in the years of service represented by Carl Spurlin Deke. Even the radicals of the 60s-many of whom started the degradation of our education system-never brought criminal sexuality to the school system during the “free love” period of the late 60s and 70s. Classic biology was still taught in the schools and nobody was confused about who could and could not get pregnant-the notion or idea that somebody would have used a term like “birthing person” in the context of school and the education system would have qualified one for Howard Mental Institution. Or thinking about attending a school where there are tampon dispensers in the boy’s room, or boys competing with girls-and proud of winning…
I’m not supposed to have an opinion about “things” if I don’t have a uterus-but I can change all that by living a delusion of being a trans woman if I want to…..
The LSMBTG*-in aggregate as an institutional construct-the 4th estate, as important an element of our society throughout history to keep the 3 branches of our government transparent, demonstrates of late that they are dedicated to keeping the average citizen impoverished in thought and doused in lies, the better to push agendas that have wandered so far afield from news that their ratings no longer warrant nor justify their existence-typified by this recent poll that shows a total disconnect between what voters-the public-their bosses and customers are concerned about, and what they are focused on.
It tells you everything you need to know about a culture that is being poisoned from within with propaganda and agit prop. There is something disturbing thinking about a generation that still prefers getting their news the old-fashioned way-newspapers-in light of the above poll results.
Not to be outdone, our politicized justice system has shown its true colors through a series of mostly politicized actions against the ruling class enemies that include parents, critics, opposition party members and anyone associated with political enemies. While overlooking illegalities and a sense of justice-depending on your class, color, gender and political affiliation-supported by political hacks who fail to hold them accountable and lie to the American people in pursuit of their goals, aims and objectives that ignore we the people in pursuit of personal and global ambitions that are not only not in the best interest of our country, but nonsensical. In the case of issues like global warming/climate change-but pick any big issue being touted by the political class-based on lies and outright propaganda.
We have heard way too much about the Supreme Court when they are on the “wrong side” of leftist agenda politics-which reflect absolute ignorance of our constitution, the rights described therein which do not come from government-and way too little over the important things they should be safeguarding in interpreting and applying the constitution and our rule of law. One of the most incredible statements that has not received its due was recently issued by Justice Sotomayor, who opined that she sees the American people as the “4th branch of government”: which betrays a complete and utter ignorance of who works for whom and why in our constitutional republic.
Not to be outdone, fellow new justice to the court Ketanji Brown Jackson was unable or unwilling to give what she considers the definition of a woman when pressed during her confirmation hearing. She did not cite a reticence to offer an opinion because she might have a woman come before the court but cited that she is not a “biologist:” but she is a woman…Her response is less noteworthy for her startling answer and more interesting because of the reaction to what the LSMBTG came to view as the epitome of the “gotchya” question that categorized the tone of the hearings.
In the wake of all manner of ploys, tricks and eleventh-hour scurrilous attempts to stop some of the previous justices from reaching the bench, it spoke volumes about the political nature of the maneuvers pursued to play guardian of the appointment employed by the senate that defenders of Judge Jackson’s record took the unprecedented step of safeguarding-not releasing the record of judicial findings representing her body of work-while touting that same evidence as the basis for her qualification to the highest court in the land.
We can pretend that politics have become more crass, combative and “cringy”-which many blame the Bad Orange Man for-but it’s worth remembering the words of the “lying of the senate” when it came to one of the most respected jurists in the country at the time he disingenuously made these remarks:
Within 40 minutes of Reagan’s announcement, Senator Ted Kennedy (D‑MA) took to the Senate floor with a condemnation of “Robert Bork’s America” as “a land in which women would be forced into back‐alley abortions, Blacks would sit at segregated lunch counters, rogue police could break down citizens’ doors in midnight raids, schoolchildren could not be taught about evolution, writers and artists could be censored at the whim of the government, and the doors of the federal courts would be shut on the fingers of millions of citizens.”
This was the same Ted Kennedy who undertook in 1983 a surreptitious initiative to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Yuri Andropov, in an attempted scheme to mitigate in the near term and prevent in the longer-term Ronald Reagan’s re-election: it is telling that many know more about the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax than actual collusion that took place in our history.
We’ve degraded beyond an embarrassing point in our history when a question like that can be spun as a “gotchya” by the LSMBTG-the same crew that shortly thereafter failed to even mention when a plot to murder Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was discovered and the perp arrested: did not merit mention by many of the leading media outlets in this country.
Leftists are outraged that a politicized court that once found an abortion right in a document that fails to mention any such thing has now returned the issue to the states-where it belongs-to be decided by the people. Their outrage has been largely self-motivated through lies-aided and abetted by the LSMBTG-and their own torturous ignorance in tucking abortion under the category of a “woman’s health issue,” where it uncomfortably resides in the 21st century long after the once awkward construct of killing a baby in the womb as something that must be “safe, legal and rare”-surpassed 50 million babies on the “rarity” scale. The issue managed to undermine the credibility of generations of politicians and created a nuclear wasteland by extruding moderate democrat politicians initially out of the center and eventually out of the party.
Perhaps worse is the asinine hand wringing over the undoing of New York’s infringement of the second amendment of the constitution-that which shall not be infringed-that had been in place for over 100 years-where the reaction of the New York City Mayor was so over the top it could have been a Babylon Bee story:
Eric Adams, the mayor of New York City, claims the SCOTUS ruling “made every single one of us less safe.” How so? The number of shootings in New York City soared 97% from 2019 to 2020. Murders jumped by 43%. None of these shootings and murders were committed by Americans with a concealed carry license, because the 111-year-old law in New York effectively prohibited it.
New York learned nothing from this lawsuit and has doubled down to create new requirements that will make their way through the court system and be declared invalid-but such lawsuits take time. Meanwhile the New York Supreme Court ruled that you must be a citizen to vote in state elections: how shocking is that? But much like California, New York recently passed a bill that would provide Medicaid for illegal immigrants.
These states doling out taxpayer funds for illegal aliens-like Colorado-where the citizens voted overwhelmingly that you have to be a citizen to vote-and where efforts to produce government solutions to enduring crisis of their own making through delusional policies that have been total abject failures in dealing with societal problems in the form of homelessness, drug addiction and mental illness—street problems—while politicians like John Hickenlooper put policies in place that had the unintended result of being a flame to these moths-there is no one in the final analysis watching or minding that store.
It wasn’t that long ago that the government in New York City felt justified in answering FOIA requests that resulted in NYC gun owners being outed and publicized in the media. Similarly, gun owning Californians have recently been outed due to a “software glitch” in a state where criminals, illegal aliens and the homeless increasingly seem have more rights than California citizens.
This video has been circulating recently. It is of a career criminal named in the above earlier image who, along with Ferguson’s Michael Brown and other multi-page rap sheet criminals, have emerged to “saint-hood” like status to foster fund raising and violence for social justice causes across America over the past dozen or more years, starting with an occupy movement that left garbage and disease ridden mess in their incoherent wake, to the modern day version of social mayhem and anarchy represented by ANTIFA and the Black Liberation Revival Movement.
It is astounding to consider that when these two violent groups targeted Washington DC-the seat of democracy-their illegal acts and disruption of the life of citizens and tourists going about their daily business-dining out, shopping, taking in the sights of liberty-were largely ignored because of some insane version of social justice.
The DC mayor named an historic thoroughfare in “honor” of these efforts-she who would later fail to provide security in and around the White House, resulting in ~140 security personnel getting injured and the president of the United States of America having to be evacuated to a bunker that existed to safeguard the leader of the free world in the event of a terrorist attack. Many first heard of the Proud Boys when they deployed to cities like DC where ANTIFA and BLM were having their way with citizens and attacking the police. They opposed them and did what local government had failed to do: take care of their citizens being menaced by violence, mayhem and anarchy. Which raised the crazy question, how did the Proud Boys come out as the bad guys in this story-LSMBTG-Beuler?
The resulting defund movement has brought many democrat run cities to the brink of anarchy and the top of the charts of the most violent and dangerous cities in the world. Things have gotten so bad in Philadelphia that the mayor is already looking forward to a time when he is no longer in office-something that many Philadelphians are looking forward to as well.
Enough of my rambling-you get the gist of why a World War II veteran would make the above comments. This was originally going to be an Independence Day message. But we should celebrate the history and legacy of the founders and those great Americans who took this fight on then-and continue to do so today. Freedom isn’t free!
So in honor of the founding of our great nation and the sacrifice of the militia that made it possible and continues to defend her today, we burnt massive amounts of beef and told a few stories and had a great “ground effects” fireworks display to make sure the grandkids know what a special day this is in history.
In light of all the propaganda, but more importantly the illegalities our government has allowed to be inflicted on those charged with minimal crimes and unconsciously held in a violation of all our nation holds dear, it is well to remember what our founders thought of the jackboot and the notion that a government of, by and for the people cannot long get away with such violations of the spirit and the mandate granted to them by the will of the people.
In that regard one of the greatest documents in the history of the world-the Declaration of Independence-speaks for itself (extract)…
WHEN in the Course of human Events, it becomes necessary for one People to dissolve the Political Bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the Powers of the Earth, the separate and equal Station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent Respect to the Opinions of Mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the Separation.
