The Red Trickle: I Told You So

By John R. “Buck” Surdu

Several weeks ago, despite the growing euphoria over a predicted Red Wave, I predicted a Red Trickle. At the time, I said it was because the Republicans don’t stand for anything and weren’t offering voters anything other than more investigations and counter investigations and “those guys suck worse than us.” Well, that’s how it turned out.

(Please read my previous article on this topic, cited above.)

The people in Pennsylvania selected a person severely cognitively impaired. The people of New York reelected a governor who express disdain at citizens’ concerns over crime (“I don’t know why that matters to you so much.”) The people of Arizona, despite the trauma brought on by the Democrats through open borders, failed to elect Keri Lake. After facing a recall election, Governor Newsome won reelection handily. I don’t understand how communities most impacted by Democrats’ failed policies (like Arizona and New Mexico) cannot overwhelmingly vote for Republicans.  I really don’t understand how people could vote for a Republican governor and return a Leftist, Marxist, woke America hater to Congress.

With the economy in shambles, rampant crime in most blue jurisdictions, and 75% of Americans believing the country was heading in the wrong direction, the midterms were theirs to lose. And the Republicans did what they do best. They lost.

I don’t attribute this to election-day shenanigans. I attribute this to five things:

  1. The Democrats controlled the messaging. Biden repeatedly told people that if they voted for Republicans, they were voting to end Democracy. Their propaganda arm euphemistically identifying as news outlets let them get away with making those unsubstantiated claims. Somehow this kind of demeaning, condescending rhetoric works for the Democrats. “If you don’t vote for me, then you ain’t black.” “Mega MAGA Republicans are semi-fascists.” “Conservatives are terrorists.” “If you elect Republicans be prepared for waves of political violence.” Other than a few conservative pundits, they get a pass when they make these outlandish and inflammatory statements.
  2. Republicans had no message. They offered nothing positive with regard to the key issues. The Commitment to America came too little, way too late, and wasn’t the cornerstone of every Republican’s campaign. When I went through media training, the mantra was to have a message and no matter what the question, get back to the message. If we know anything about what Republicans want to do it is Lindsay Graham’s proposal to ban abortion. A few pundits may know what McCarthy was going to do if they won power, but generally, the only thing that made the news was more investigations. If every voter couldn’t recite the four or five things the Republicans planned to do – whether they agreed with them – then the Republicans were failing. They failed.
  3. Our political indoctrination camps identifying as schools have created Leftist lemmings instead of critically thinking people. How else can you explain people voting against their own best interests and really important matters like the economy, inflation, giving away our strategic oil reserves to our enemies, open borders, etc., ad nauseum? The Republicans were confident that the key issues played to their strengths – or at least the Democrats’ weaknesses. Apparently, they were wrong – as usual.
  4. There is WAY too much money involved in elections. Soros and a lot of other foreign donors funnel billions into US elections. Robber baron tech tyrants funnel additional millions. Democrats successfully (6 for 6) funneled money into Republican primaries to get a Republican candidate they thought they could beat. It worked.
  5. The Democrats and their media lapdogs successfully made the election about Donald Trump instead of Biden’s and the Democrats’ abysmal record. And Donald Trump provided aid and comfort to the enemy by not keeping his mouth shut. He played right into the hands of the Democrats and they used him in every way they could to distract for their record on key issues. For all the good he may have done while he was in office, his time is past. He needs to play golf and fend off Democrat persecution and leave the next series of elections to men like Ron DeSantis and Jim Jordan.

So, while Democrats blatantly, demonstrably, and vehemently want to destroy America, our Constitution, and our institutions, they won many key races that Republicans confidently thought they had sewn up. Many weren’t even squeakers. While the pundits are trying to put a happy spin on the debacle of election night, the Republicans need to do some soul-searching.

  1. Drop and roll. Drop and roll. It most certainly was shenanigans. The machines must go. Non-negotiable. Ballot drop catches them up, roll out from there is 51% D and 49% R.

  2. If the efforts in bashing Trump for being himself, and being right, were put into actual and real proposals by the plethora of “pundits”, times would be better and turnout might be as some expected.

However, I’ve been pushing for almost 2 years that elections serve little to less than worthy of our time to bother with. Although I participated in the last two elections, the suggestions I’m reading about by these latter day “pundits” makes me want to puke my guts out in the least. There are no realistic proposals anywhere by these “pundits” getting their verbiage printed on or off line !

Exercise alternative thoughts outside of the boxes most all American Citizens inhabit, please. By repeating the same old stories, nowhere is there progress to extricate sanity for its incarceration – NOWHERE !

People remain locked in the box of tradition and fail exceedingly to note how this country came into being. It-is-past-time to pussy-foot or dance around the sanity of a solution. I do not entertain armed conflict what-so-ever. But, a realistic solution is very, very close to that. Reason demands extra-rational understanding of our past creation to provide for our future. And, the only presence and force to provide a hint of hope has been Donald Trump. The moment escapes every other politician save a few in Congress, and even then those there are too timid. Working past our traditions of 1787 on, contains solutions, and they will not be pretty, but must be considered Just, Right, and Proper. Since many Americans look for “Leaders” and not themselves, who other than Trump has shown rational realistic alternatives for our times ? Until people see themselves as a force for realistic change, we wait for the next election.

Bankrupt is the Average Citizen as much as those raping our Country, raping our Heritage, and raping our Future. Yet, little is proposed past cold spit.

Critical I am those who have greater ability in getting their word out than I, and for good reasons, as stated above. As it’s Sunday, I repent my words if found harsh by others.

  3. I remember myself saying in one or more articles, that I wouldn’t hold my breath about some red tsunami, or whatever word they wished to use, but it was because of all the problems we never solved, and many we claimed that were solved, just seemed to be replicating at the time I said what I did.
This is just my opinion, but to say that there were no shenanigans by the left is to dispute history. Plenty of evidence was made public for the 2020 election, and many previous elections, that many people, and the media refused to deal with. It was out there, then, and it is out there, now. The fact that it remains is a failing grade on those who refuse to deal with it, thinking that it will get better and cure itself on its own.
Many are outright crimes, and others are crimes made legal. If we cared about the election process in our country, we might reconsider what role justice has in our society. If we don’t judge crimes and, instead, play the game of relying on liars and thieves through their distortions in put in our minds, nothing will change.

    • I agree that there WERE shenanigans; however, the Republicans don’t do themselves any favors when they don’t offer a positive alternative other than “we don’t suck as much as those guys.”

  4. People were encouraged to make an effort to vote on election day, or bring in their mail in ballots on election day, just to thwart the corruption that comes from early voting. Unfortunately, nothing matters if there is corruption in the tabulation process. Our system is broken. No one made an effort to fix it after 2020. The only solution is election DAY, small precinct voting, and paper ballots with no mail in ballots. That’s not happening since it would threaten our corrupt political/criminal class, and New World order overlords. Things will never be corrected by patiently waiting for the political criminals to fix things which endanger their prosperity and power. If you are a person of faith, pray that God will deliver us from evil and restore this country to one nation under God, and that in God, we trust. We have so lost our way.
