C.S. Lewis, the great British intellectual, author and Christian apologist wrote in his book, “Mere Christianity”, that there is a standard of conduct against which we are all measured. It is a standard which we all know and that measures what is right, wrong, and fair. Lewis calls this the Law of Human Nature. It is a law we are all born with but that we can choose to disobey, unlike natural laws such as gravity. Stones, birds and humans cannot choose to disobey gravity. However, unlike animals, when it comes to human nature, humans can choose between what we ought and ought not do. Our ability to tell the difference and choose between the two is what distinguishes us most from animals.

As a body, he is subjected to gravitation and cannot disobey it; if you leave him unsupported in mid-air, he has no more choice about falling than a stone has. As an organism, he is subjected to various biological laws which he cannot disobey any more than an animal can. That is, he cannot disobey those laws which he shares with other things; but the law which is peculiar to his human nature, the law he does not share with animals or vegetables or inorganic things, is the one he can disobey if he chooses.” C.S. So many today are choosing willfully to disobey Man’s Human Nature, and destructively so. There are so many things that we all know to be just, fair and correct, yet many purposely choose otherwise. It seems some of us are living in “opposite day” every day. Some who are disobeying human nature are doing so just to be different, just because they can. Others are true believers that there is no human nature, that we each make our own laws, our own truths, that suit us and there is no common law among men. These latter people will not be bothered or swayed by facts, reason, history, logic nor observational results and certainly not by any religious faith.
However, they must have a lot of faith in something in order to believe in some of the things the Left now believes in. These are things they surely know are against human nature, against our innate conscience. For example, California leftist political representatives in Sacramento (who don’t represent the citizens) have authorized outright thievery by legalizing retail theft up to $950 with no limit on the number of thefts one can conduct in a day.
Because of their human nature, the ancient Israelites knew that stealing was wrong before Moses gave them God’s Ten Commandments. Their labor had been stolen by the Pharaohs for hundreds of years. The Ten Commandments merely codified the law of human nature that God implanted in us. In his heart, Pharaoh knew this too. Our current laws tell us we cannot steal, yet leftists in California tell us it is ok because they have codified legal theft, making it “ok”, contrary to human nature. Everyone, including these leftist hack politicians, knows this is wrong.
On top of this legalization of criminality, California leftists, aka elected Democrats, now are proposing making it illegal to stop anyone from shoplifting from a retail business. In a fell double swoop, these extremists are making criminality legal and defense against criminality illegal. If you defend your property or your employer’s property, you will now be defined as a criminal. No wonder retailers and citizens are fleeing California to the tune of 1.5 million in the last two years, the largest exodus from any state since the Jews fled Egypt.
California is leading the way in normalizing behavior we all know to be against our human nature. A sexual weirdo who passes for a state senator there, Scott Wiener (apropos), has proposed legislation criminalizing parents who don’t allow their minor children’s so-called gender affirming medical care, i.e. sex hormones and gender mutilation surgery. BTW, this is the same groomer who made it legal to knowingly pass AIDS to one’s sexual partner. Said parents in defiance of this law, but in keeping with their parental duties to protect their children, would have their child(ren) confiscated by the state (state sanctioned child trafficking?). The residents of California who choose to remain there should literally revolt, if such a law is passed, but I’m not holding my breath. If they don’t, that state is lost, and we should immediately begin building a wall to shelter us from it.
Not only biological laws, but also the law of human nature tell us that there are only two sexes, male and female. Any other sex is purely the creation of liberal Democrats. We know (and so do they) that a man cannot become a woman. Since men are not women, how can a man even know what it means to think, feel and act like a woman, as so many claim to? He can’t! Even a supposedly female Supreme Court Justice can’t define what a woman is, so how can a man be expected to? Yet, our betters insist we accept this as normal and natural, or else.
The very fabric of our human nature is under assault. It is being attacked at this instant from many sides. The point is to wear out normal people by constant bombardment so as to soften their defenses. After years of this siege by the unhinged mob, the inhabitants of the Sane Castle will finally give in and surrender. The ridiculous absurdity of the assertions put forward by today’s leftists are such that they actually disarm the intellectually weak. If you can’t think using common sense, you can’t confront these inanities. The Left is counting on your inability to articulate what the law of human nature commands.
The enemies of human nature are numerous, relentless and have friends in high places in government, academia, media and churches. They will not let up and don’t expect them to. They think they are winning. They must be savagely and unrelentingly defeated, humiliated and made to account for the long suffering they have caused. Unless and until that happens, they will continue unabated and unafraid in their crusade to destroy the core of what and who we are as human beings. They must not be allowed to win. Their perverted ideas cannot become the accepted norm.

Respectfully, I must disagree with the assertion. A human can go to a tall building and defenestrate, in which case he has chosen to defy gravity. Where I concur is gravity is self-enforcing, and disobedience is met with a quick fall and sudden stop.
Likewise, I must respectfully disagree with your disagreement. You’re splitting angel hairs. We, stones, and rabbits are subject to the law of gravity, defenestrations or no. That’s all I meant.
