Watching recent congressional testimony from elite college presidents and leaders told you everything you need to know about how US education is failing our children from both an educational, but more importantly a moral standpoint.
Apparently, the context is very important when assessing intentions from modern day students-words in and of themselves are insufficient. Just because somebody calls for the extermination, elimination or death of a certain group, that may not be in and of itself “a violent act:” context is very important.
Stranger still that many of these same schools are advocates of the “pronoun police,” certain that misuse of or misgendering somebody is a violent act punishable by the full authority many of these same schools can bring to bear: no need to pause for a context check….
The gist or takeaway seems not only inconsistent but also flies in the face of all the red flag, warning signs of impending action or violence that advocates tout as observables-indications and warning-that will suffice to keep students safe. Reminiscent of restrictive Rules of Engagement for our military under cover your assets procedures for officers serving to check a block on a combat assignment: no shooting unless somebody shoots at you.
Under the guise of strongly supporting free speech on campus, these are the same leaders who have been guilty of restricting appearances by any groups that do not share their leftist, socialist, woke views. Advocates of safe spaces for many whose feelings wilt at the first sign of a triggering event. Context???
One of the subtle yet strongest warnings issued in the clash of leftist, socialist militants against anybody right of left- is a phrase that first gained prominence or notoriety when heard from Elon Musk-“F” around and find out (FAFO.)
I use the term right of left anymore to describe what used to be moderate or left of center democrats-who have been expunged from the party “voice”-shouted down by zealots, maniacs and crazies in the 21st century as the democrat party has embraced “the reduction” as both a technique and a platform-and we’re talking extruding folks from the party like John F. The “reduction” referred to or in full Justice Antonin Scalia vernacular-the reduction to the absurd-is the premise that when in life and law you give an inch to save somebody’s “wittle feelings” by going along to get along, the law or rule of unintended consequences gains momentum, events ratchet slowly but surely out of hand-things in motion stay in motion-and the next thing you know all hell is breaking loose.
Scalia’s flair for the dramatic, combative, direct verbiage at the point of attack on issues earned him the enmity of millions of those who-similar to the Bad Orange Man-took him at his literal word even in the face of obvious messing with his foes and enemies alike within the context of the public square. Trump is much like Scalia in that he takes some large measure of enjoyment and something akin to pride-almost like a hobby-in cultivating and maintaining-antagonizing enemies as the butt or object of his sarcasm. Recall Trump’s public joke for Putin to release Clinton’s emails which set panties aflame across the nation and motivated the FBI to act…
Well respected and somewhat “newshoundy” legal expert Johnathan Turley-often deployed by the left and the right to attack both sides of the political aisle and the middle when and as necessary, best characterized his angst with Scalia in this article from his website: “The Absurd Reduction: Scalia reaffirms comparison of homosexuality to bestiality. In his dissent in Lawrence v. Texas, Justice Antonin Scalia said the case would mean the legalization of “bigamy, same-sex marriage, adult incest, prostitution, masturbation, adultery, fornication, bestiality and obscenity.” It is a Scalia parade of horribles. However, it also equates homosexuality with crimes like bestiality which occur without the consent of the victims.
Full disclosure is made by Turley up front that he was involved in a case in Utah about what he describes as “this type of morality ruling” brought to challenge state and federal “bigamy law.” What Turley fails to mention is these are largely choreographed-contrived lawsuits-intended to attack so-called backward or legacy laws and statutes such as “sodomy laws.”
Lawrence is a perfect example in that homosexual males contrived to call the police on one another and-in effect-voluntarily get caught in a lewd act that they would then plead guilty to in order to build the case for attacking the charges on the merit of consent and privacy issues. The cases were choreographed in multiple venues and contrived from the standpoint that presiding prosecutors or judges would often have to cooperate to increase the otherwise innocuous fines to levels that would qualify for appeal consideration to the next higher court to reach beyond the county level.
When such appeals made their way to the supreme court, Scalia made the above remarks which the media dominant LSMBTG with its myopic focus on leftist, socialist causes and the use of Saul Alinsky techniques to both combat and sculpt attacks on such “hot-button” issues-of their own making-they being the closest thing to a “self-triggering device-” shockingly characterized and painted Scalia as a bigot, xenophobe, anti-letter person (LBTGQMOUSE)-but of course!
When looked at in light of what he talked about-what he meant-vice what he said, particularly his propensity to use language intended to shock the senses and get attention-which he was very effective at employing-it is hard to argue against the merits of his basic argument, which was that tolerance in these matters is a slippery slope that wars with the first amendment in particular.
You may have a right to declare your cause to the world in the public square, but there is an equally compelling case to be made in opposition to you that is just as righteous, lawful, and permissible in the very same square.
Things have gotten out of control on college campuses and in the public square in America where students as well as teachers have seemingly monopolized the interpretation of what is-and is not-hate speech. Nothing has exposed the bankrupt view and opinion of these very sad excuses for human beings like the violent, terrorist attacks of Hamas on Israel on 7 October 2023.
The reduction is well-nigh ubiquitous here-including with many democrats in congress, whose willingness to fund Hamas without restriction since April 2021 after funds were frozen due to their habit of lobbing missiles and paying rewards to terrorists who murder Israelis, is now “balanced” with their willingness to place restrictions on aid to our strongest ally in the Middle East-Israel-while insinuating and stating irresponsible and gratuitous-insulting blather about being more careful about killing these Hamas terrorists, er, Palestinians.
These same “leaders” made no comments about providing cluster bomb munitions to Ukraine and have not supported any measure of accountability for Ukraine aid in the face of myriad reports of fraud, waste, abuse and graft by Ukraine officials.
Like him, love him, hate him-we have Donald Trump to thank for exposing much of this. There were only two things I ever agreed with when it comes to Barrack Obama-one was that Donald Trump was a “Carnival Barker,” and that you could never “underestimate Joe’s ability to furf things up:” in my own “reduction” I only agree with one thing now.
Trump exposed them all. The liars, power hungry, hateful, manipulating, dogmatic, lamestream media, big tech and government-the LSMBTG-including criminal civilian servants and politicians willing to do anything to keep power, and the shockingly political intelligence community that was at the center of efforts to get the Bad Orange Man: six ways to Sunday.
But surprisingly-shockingly for those who served-these are people who do not take their oath of office to this country seriously. In fact, they flaunt and violate what is supposed to be fealty to selfless service and commitment to their fellow citizens who pay their salaries that could go to much more worthy causes.
The amazing thing about Trump is his innate and natural ability to get most of these rat basswiches to out themselves and be proud of it, an entire litany of political, morally bankrupt human beings who put self before service to America and have been proud to show us their arse in all its hairy splendiferousness! There is no law, convention, routine nor standard they view as sacrosanct when it comes to attacking the Bad Orange Man: all are fungible!
Trump has been saying for years: they are really after you-I’m just in the way-and now he can add-how do you like me now? Scalia employed vitriolic language to highlight his point on the absurd, but we’ve seen cultural evidence across the board on how some of these rulings have demonstrated precisely what he meant.
Watching the whole abortion debate has been like viewing downright ghoulish-inhuman-pathetic human beings on display for all to see. Touting abortion right up to and if necessary-after birth. The reduction continues-expect to see a debate on just how many months after birth is still okay to abort-“kill”-a baby: what is the difference between the 9th and 10th month they will ask?
This past week we’ve seen what many have been saying was going to happen all along: why not let illegal aliens serve in the US military? We fix our recruiting problems caused by pathetic leadership, idjiotcy and lunacy, they get to become citizens by serving-it seems like a “win-win” situation, doesn’t it? Look how well it worked out for the Romans-remember them???
